About the property

1 Bedroom, 1 Bathroom, 2 Sleeps

SUNSET CLIFF COTTAGE is the ideal little get-away. Perched above the water on a 35' cliff, a staircase leads down to the deck on the water's edge. Here you'll have front row seats as flotillas of mallards and sailboats whisper by. The outdoor fire pit provides for bonfires at dusk and a place to grill your catch of the day.

Inside this air-conditioned cottage, the living room of comfortable sofas and a fireplace will set the mood. There is Satellite TV and VCR, but the 12' picture window will be all the entertainment you need! The bedroom is furnished with a queen sized bed, (linens are included) and steps away, a full bath and shower with linens at the ready. The modern kitchen is complete with stove, oven, microwave, toaster, coffee maker and pots, pans and utensils. End your days with a glass of local wine or micro brew as you watch the SPECTACULAR Sunsets over the water. Bring the camera!

Dogs are welcome at this location. Each pet is $10 per night and pet fee will be collected at time of arrival. Your dog must be at least a year old, completely housebroken and you cannot leave your pet alone at any time. Pet stay must be approved by owner previous to arrival.

Great place, overpriced

  • 4 of 5

Had to pay an extra fee for pets, which is understandable but even without the fee I would say the stay is a little pricey. Very relaxing, enjoyed our stay. Wish the dock was more user friendly.

Enjoy sunsets? This is your place!

  • 5 of 5

My fiance and I stayed here for 5 nights. It was very peaceful and quiet. The view out of the living room window is amazing. The sound of the waves crashing into shore was very relaxing. The walk down the stairs to the dock is slightly intimidating, but worth it! (Dont get me wrong, it is safe!) We even caught a few fish off of the dock. Most days there were not even any boats within view, so it was as if you had the lake all to yourself. The drive into town was not horrible. We went on little road trips every day up the peninsula to check out all of the different small towns. The cabin is by no means luxurious, but it does the job for a nice quiet vacation. It is, after all, listed as a "cabin" and not a spa :) The inside was clean when we arrived, and all necessities were included. The kitchen is stocked with everything you need to cook, or grill out. I would stay here again!

Secluded, private, comfortable lakefront

  • 5 of 5

This cottage had everything we were looking for. We arrived after dark and were immediately blown away at the huge picture window overlooking the water and reflecting the moonlight. The location is isolated enough to be private but close enough to be a short drive to amenities. Satellite TV, fireplace, telescope, comfortable bed- what more could you ask for? This will definitely be our first choice for our next visit.

What a dump.

  • 2 of 5

This property is in need of many updates and repairs. The water is deemed safe but was so smelly it was undrinkable. The view was very pretty and booking very easy.

Peaceful and Beautiful

  • 5 of 5

If your into beautiful sunsets then this place is for you. The view over Green Bay is awesome!! The outside property could use a little TLC I would suppose but you'll quickly forget about that when you step inside. They had all of the necessary amenities, it was clean and the layout is perfect with a gorgeous view of Green Bay through a huge picture window. We stayed for 4 nights and only turned the tv on once for the Packer game :). A perfect peaceful getaway for any time of the year. We stayed in October but I can imagine a summertime getaway with a nice outdoor fire in the pit, a cool breeze coming off of the lake and the sound of crashing waves all night.....and of course a beautiful sunset. Highly recommended!!~

The cabin met basic needs but was not that comfortablr

  • 2 of 5

Mattress sags in the middle, not very comfortable. Air conditioner was unable to meet the demands of the excess heat that week, which was not surprising. There is a moisture problem that we told the owners about twice, it worsened as the week went on making the tile floor slippery. This needs to be resolved as there may be mold forming as evidenced by the odor. Worsened even with air conditioner off.

Cabin was clean and ready when we arrived.

I would return to Door County in the fall but would stay in a different location.

Owner's Response: We have addressed your issues. It was a hot hot week! The air conditioner is not often used because the fresh breeze off the bay is so wonderful. Because the drainage hose was damaged and the need for the unit to run continuously it did make it wet under the unit! We did replace the unit. We did increase the size of the conditioner because of your response, so thank you. You mentioned the bed. We put extra money into this particular mattress. The response from many has been that they love it. I understand that people like different styles of mattress. If you do come to the county, know that we have other cabin options with that just right mattress choice for you. Thank you for staying at the Sunset Cliff Cabin.
