Wisconsin's premier vacation destination on the Door County peninsula welcomes guests to this outstanding dovetail log home. Conveniently located just outside the quaint village of Sister Bay, visitors enjoy a peaceful relaxed setting for their Door County vacation or weekend getaway. Whether communing with nature from the comfort of a hammock or exploring the many cultural and recreational activities Door County has to offer, this is the perfect place.

Newly constructed of native white cedar, this hand-hewn, dovetail jointed, log home combines plenty of windows and open space with an abundance of hand-crafted detail to create a warm, inviting setting. The house is tastefully decorated, the bathrooms well appointed, and the kitchen fully-equipped.

You can enjoy coffee watching the songbirds and catch a sunrise from the decks, picnic and siesta among the apple trees, enjoy wine and sunset dinner on the screen porch, and end the day with a campfire. This is all possible at Dovetail Acres, an unique Door County Retreat.

The cabin is beautiful and feels isolated in nature, but is right off of the highway with easy access to Sister Bay. The hosts were warm and welcoming, we loved our stay here!

The property is perfectly located for a Door County visit. The hosts were very accomodating. It was a pleasure staying in a unique and very comfortable place.

Very nice and cozy cabin off the beaten path. Very well stocked with everything you need. Shower a little small but works. 3 Bedrooms good size and comfortable. Plenty of shared living space plus deck and fire pit. Terry the owner checked in to see if we had any questions or issues. Liked the restaurant across the street called Thyme. Wine bar and good food.

The perfect vacation

The property was excellent because it is close to Sisterl Bay, just minutes to the heart of town, but it was a setting that was absolutely beautiful. It was the perfect vacation spot because the beauty of nature is there for relaxation and it is close to the center of everything. If you want a true vacation in Door County this is the perfect place

Nice, Quaint, older cabin in a very secluded location. Very comfortable. Close to Sister Bay. Great location. Only missed a dishwasher a little. Who wants to eat at the cabin with so many restaurants serving great food.

Awesome vacation home!

We had a great time — and hope to stay here again. In particular, we enjoyed the log cabin experience and bird watching on the back patio in the mornings with the perfectly situated bird feeders. The backyard fire pit and short drive to Sister Bay were added bonuses. The property was also clean and comfortable.

Perfect Door County Accomodation!

We've stayed here multiple times, and love everything about this house, and the property! The location is perfect as well, 1 mile from downtown Sister Bay! We'll definitely attempt to stay here again in our next trip to Door County! Certainly recommend this property!

We really loved our stay. It is very close to Sister Bay, but it felt like we were in our own secluded park. The property owner was very easy to work with.

Nice place to escape

The home is comfortable and offers all the amenities and space needed for a nice family getaway. The owner is very nice and was very accommodating when a family emergency came up the altered our stay. I would stay here again for sure.
