Total upgrade 2022. Added 2nd Master Suite, major deck expansion and all new stainless steel appliances. Family getaway or adult oasis. You decide. Amazing cottage on the Buckhannon River. Wonderful views, amazing hikes, great fishing and tons of outdoor activities. For the protection and security of guests, we have installed a Ring Doorbell on the front door of our cottage.

We are reachable by cell phone throughout your stay and we have local caretakers in case you need help with something at the house.

This rural area of Upshur County is truly unique. From the dynamic river, to the beautiful mountain vistas, it is a place where you can recharge physically and mentally.

This is a rental for the full house. Make yourself at home and use all of the amenities including the canoe.

This beautiful house is away from it all with all the modern conveniences. Come make memories that will last a lifetime in this Buckhannon River Cottage.

Our house is about 20 minutes from Buckhannon. There is plenty of parking for your car, RV or toy hauler.

Bring your ATVs, bicycles, fishing gear and hiking shoes. The outdoor possibilities are endless.
Due to extreme allergies, this house is completely animal free. We cannot have animals of any kind in this house.

Beautiful newly renovated with all the kitchen items anyone would ever need. Plenty of towels and linens. Beautiful scenery on the river. Plenty of room to lounge. Beds were very comfortable. Would definitely go back again. The place looks brand new.

Gorgeous house in secluded location

Really nice house exactly as described. Beautiful deck overlooking the river with osprey and eagles soaring around. Everything was comfortable and just as described. It was a bit of a drive to get back to “civilization” but really nothing was out of reach. Loved our stay and would come back if the opportunity presents itself!

Beautiful House in a Beautiful Setting

We are six senior kayakers who enjoyed three nights in this spacious, modern house on the Buckhannon River. This is a great choice if you are looking for a beautiful river view, listening to several species of birds, and don't mind the remote location. Not sure when the train runs, but we didn't hear it.

Wonderful weekend in West Virginia

The home was updated and clean. The fishing was great. The scenery was very pretty. It's off the beaten path and the neighbors are a little intimidating, but they were as kind and welcoming as the property owners. I highly recommend this home for an off the grid getaway.

Beautiful country and great place

We were very impressed with hoise and thrilled with the beautiful back country setting. House is clean and everything works. Great porch for outdoor dining and water to play in not to mention we want to come again and bring our 4 wheeler. Great experience!

What a gem!

This house was great! We made awesome memories and enjoyed all it had to offer! The river was beautiful, and caught some fish! Beds were comfortable, lots of room to spread out and the deck was phenomenal! Kitchen has all you will need to cook, bedrooms were a great size! Just a great time had by all!

Great place

We had a wonderful time and really appreciate how clean and organized the home was. We were looking forward to the train, which never passed through. I highly recommend this property, wonderful, remodeling, easy check-in, and beautiful, relaxing location. The owners communicated clearly and available if needed.
