The Owner's were so hospitable and friendly. They made us feel like family. The place is beautiful and the surroundings magnificent. Love the deer too!
Magnificent property! We were welcomed by the hosts who were so gracious, even baked blueberry muffins awaiting our arrival. We enjoyed the beauty and comfort of the log cabin home. The large backyard provided ample space for enjoying evening cornhole, firepit, and card games on the deck! Highly recommend this West Virginia beauty!
Home is beautiful. Very serene location. Home has some beautiful antiques. A little too much "clutter" . The deer and turkey come in daily. We enjoyed the fire pit and corn hole boards. Will definitely consider this home again.
The home is beautiful. It is in a peaceful, secluded setting with nature and beauty all around. Host was great. He met us to make sure we could find the property. We had a great stay.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and loved seeing the deer. The home is beautiful, large and comfortable and has about every appliance you could need. There is even a pack and play , which was helpful for us.
Gary is so kind and helpful, he made sure we had everything we needed.
We will be returning for sure!
We rented this for a trip to snowshoe mountain. The host was very helpful and left notes to follow around the house. The cabin was very cozy and welcoming. You can see deer in the backyard if you leave feed. The host had the fireplace going and a batch of muffins ready when we arrived. That fireplace was also amazing for warming up after a day in the snow.
A Perfect Family Getaway – A Slice of Heaven in West Virginia
We had the most incredible time staying at this beautiful remote cabin with our family. From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the peaceful surroundings and the natural beauty that envelops the property. A charming creek runs through the land, providing the perfect soundtrack for morning coffee and evening conversations on the porch. Each night, deer would wander into the backyard, and feeding them became a magical experience that our kids absolutely loved. Watching their excitement and connection to nature was one of the many highlights of our trip. The stargazing at night was breathtaking—clear skies and countless stars made for unforgettable evenings. What truly made our stay exceptional, though, was our host, Gary. He was kind, welcoming, and incredibly attentive throughout our visit. He went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable and showed us true West Virginia hospitality in every interaction. We left feeling refreshed, grateful, and already talking about when we can come back. This cabin is a hidden gem, and we can’t recommend it enough!
We stayed in the house for 5 nights. we got in late and the heater was going for us already. the house was just as described, a peaceful log cabin in the mountains. it is conveniently located out in the country but not too far out of town to get supplies from town. everything was clean and all the appliances operated properly. we mentioned that we all drank coffee and the next day he bought an additional coffee machine without us asking for one. On the way there the first night we made the mistake of following the Toyota GPS and it took us to the wrong house so either use the owner's instructions or Ways, it will save some grief especially in the dark.
