About Lill Madland

I was born in Norway, raised in inner city Chicago, and educated in Northern California. I moved to Portland in 1991 with my family, from Santa Cruz. I have had the pleasure of watching this city grow into one of America's most vibrant cities.

One of my greatest passions in life is travelling. I have travelled to 28 different countries and their cultures. I have come to appreciate beautiful accomodations that are conducive to the comfort of the group. This property reflects my vision of providing travellers with a high end, boutique type experience, but in a much larger version. I believe that I have accomplished this task.

Perfect Property

  • 5 of 5

We are snowbirds and rent in Portland each summer. This property was perfect for us. It gave us the room we need to entertain/house friends and family and is conveniently located to restaurants, parks, and grocery stores. The house is new, clean, and well appointed. We'll be staying here often.

Owner's Response: Patsie and Bob were nothing less than perfect guests! They spent two months at my home and treated it as if it were their own. They had it professionally cleaned during their stay and left it in mint condition. They even replaced all the essential supplies that they used and left behind two lovely hydrangea plants. I could not more highly recommend this couple as guests. They are wonderful!!!

Modern and very beautiful interior.

  • 5 of 5

This 2 story home is the nicest we have ever stayed in. It was well equipped and definitely 5 star. We did a little cooking there, but mostly ate out, and found extra things in the large pantry to use. There was a Kerurig and one other coffee maker. We shopped at Trader Joe’s and Costco for any food we needed. Also loved the soft water, but don’t know if that was natural or not. Would loved to have stayed longer than a week! Home was very spacious and inviting.

We did have 2 young children with us and felt the need to hide or put out of range any nice glass vases. We used the CD player and tv as well. Plenty of seating and comfort. Definitely enjoyed ourselves, but husband is hoping for a single level next time only because his knees were complaining on the stairs. You won’t be disappointed if you stay here.

Beautiful, comfortable home in a walkable neighborhood

  • 5 of 5

Lill's house is lovely, super clean and inviting, and has everything one might need for a truly enjoyable trip. It is well situated a block or 2 from a really good coffee shop, and a few blocks from several restaurants, bars, food trucks, and an inviting yoga studio. We even walked to the grocery store. My group of friends enjoyed the house so much we would have loved to stay longer and check out more of what the neighborhood has to offer. And maybe to finish the puzzle we started.

Great Family Weekend!

  • 5 of 5

Thank you Lill! Your home is very comfortable and you thought of everything. My family and I had a great time. We were able to relax, cook and play lots of games. There was lots of fun and laughter. We really appreciated your attention to detail with the kitchen, towels and bedding. All we needed was the food. Wishing you a happy holiday season!
