This comfortable 2 bedroom, 1 bath home is surrounded by gardens, rock walls and paths, and several monumental rock sculptures. The view of the Ortiz mountains from the living room and stone terrace is stunning, and the sunset views from the stone terrace are something to write home about. The living room boasts the largest shephard's fireplace ever, while also providing a wood-burning stove for contemporary warmth and atmosphere. The kitchen is fully furnished for cooking adventures, with dishes, cutlery, pots and pans, linens, pantry items, etc. Artwork, pottery and folkart are located throughout the casa, leading to interesting discoveries at every turn. Hiking opportunities are available just out the back door; but if contemplating the hummingbirds at the lavender is preferred, the gazebo is available for your enjoyment. WiFi is accessible throughout the casa as well as on the terrace and in the gazebo. When necessary, heat is available from a forced-air furnace. Washer and dryer are available for use.

Beautiful home, beautiful views, quiet and serene.
The road in (Winding Road) is a little beat up- maybe that adds to the charm.
Very good - eclectic and private.
The property could use some TLC and updating. We enjoyed our stay. Forced air furnace worked great and we were comfortable.
Peaceful, quirky, very New Mexico!
We are two friends who stayed at the casa for one week in October. The house is located 20 minutes from center of Santa Fe. Location is excellent if you want some privacy and peace, while still having easy access to Santa Fe. It's at the top of a rough dirt road, which didn't present a problem to us because the weather was fine, but if there is ice or snow it could be a challenge. House is genuine adobe style with stone walls, log ceilings and stone floors throughout. The heating system works well and keeps the house warm, but bring your house slippers because the floors are kind of rough and cold. Lots of folk art & local crafts strewn throughout the house. Charming, but it's also a lot of stuff to that collects dust and cobwebs, so if you have allergies this might not be the place for you. Other than that, the house was very clean so no worries there. Rooms are very comfortable, view is gorgeous, and the grounds are incredibly interesting and fun to explore. Michael, the caretaker, was unbelievably responsive, generous and kind. He even brought us a wok when we said we needs a bigger pan! :-) Thank you!
Hidden Gem in the hills of Santa Fe
This is a very eclectic artsy kind of place that was worthwhile renting, very cute, extremely private. It is situated on a very bad road that needs grading. Traveling it is a tough 6/10s of a mile and you should have an SUV. The area is deeply forested and has parking for only 2 cars.
Staying here you can forget about the rest of the world.
Super relaxing & peacefull. Climed the hil behind the property, awsome views.
Would recommend this place to anyone who likes their privacy. Also very affordable.
Thank you for your positive comments. Hope for your return soon. Take care!
We were pleased to have found such a wonderfully interesting homebase to relax and enjoy outside of Santa Fe. The grounds with many different and unique sitting areas were enjoyable to take in the scenery. The casa has everything needed which begged us to not venture out too much. We made a few trips to the Santa Fe square which is only a 15 minute drive. This may have to be a yearly vacation spot for us!!
Glad you enjoyed the casa and hope you would make it a yearly trip to Casa de Las Piedras.
