Overview

About the property

This comfortable 2 bedroom, 1 bath home is surrounded by gardens, rock walls and paths, and several monumental rock sculptures. The view of the Ortiz mountains from the living room and stone terrace is stunning, and the sunset views from the stone terrace are something to write home about. The living room boasts the largest shephard's fireplace ever, while also providing a wood-burning stove for contemporary warmth and atmosphere. The kitchen is fully furnished for cooking adventures, with dishes, cutlery, pots and pans, linens, pantry items, etc. Artwork, pottery and folkart are located throughout the casa, leading to interesting discoveries at every turn. Hiking opportunities are available just out the back door; but if contemplating the hummingbirds at the lavender is preferred, the gazebo is available for your enjoyment. WiFi is accessible throughout the casa as well as on the terrace and in the gazebo. When necessary, heat is available from a forced-air furnace. Washer and dryer are available for use.

Perfect home!

  • 5 of 5

A girlfriend and I met for a reunion in Santa Fe and stayed at this lovely home. It was like living in a museum of international artifacts. We loved the location in the hills south of town (about 25 minutes from downtown), the peaceful and relaxed atmosphere, and the land surrounding this gorgeous house. The home was very well stocked with everything you would need. The master bedroom is very large, with is a smaller second bedroom, and one bathroom. The sunrises and sunsets, along with the sporadic lightening/thunder and rainstorms from the deck were stunning. We have both traveled extensively around the world and this is by far the loveliest home we have ever rented. There is something unique and fascinating everywhere you look. Please note that the last half mile to the house is unpaved. In summer our rental car had no problem accessing the road. I would recommend this for singles or couples. Thank you Michael for making our stay so care free and easy.

Comfortable Stay in Santa Fe Area

  • 4 of 5

We rented this house last July. The house itself is extremely comfortable for two people. There is a large master bedroom which includes an office and is very comfortable. There is a second bedroom which is very small and suitable for 1 additional person. The living room/family room/kitchen is also very large and quite comfortable. The home is attractively furnished and comes complete with everything you might need. There is no TV in the living room, only a small set in the second bedroom. Owner provided information is a little sketchy and more instructions on operating heating/cooling plant, etc as well as restaurants, etc in the immediate area would be useful.

Property description isn’t kidding when it describes the road into the property. It is navigable in good weather but very rough. I suspect the suggestion of FWD in winter months is appropriate.

Setting is very impressive; on the side of a slope with great views. The patio off the living room was great for breakfast in the morning and pleasant in the late afternoons. The yard area and gazebo aren’t very useful. The yard is rough and native and the property isn’t too well illuminated at night.

Perfect Adobe Casa to Experience Santa Fe & the Country

  • 4 of 5

This classic Adobe home on a fairly remote hillside just a few miles out of the center of town was a perfect place to be able to enjoy the city of Santa Fe and all it has to offer while being able to also relax and experience the countryside of northern New Mexico.

The home is very comfortable while also well appointed with beautiful traditional southwestern decor. The grounds are also an amazing experience that invite you to explore all of the unique settings that have been created through ambitious rock work and landscape planning.

Could not have asked for a better property to spend our time in Santa Fe. We will definitely return and would highly recommend this property to anyone wanting to experience both nature and the sites of Santa Fe.

Amazing home!!!

  • 5 of 5

Wow!! When driving up to the home you think to yourself... "Awesome!!!!!". Amazing rock gardens and a killer view on the patio. The whole five days were were there everyone kept saying how beautiful the place was. Being pet friendly was also a major plus and this place made my vacation an amazing experience I will always remember. Will be renting again!!
