Looking for a small, cozy, cleverly furnished Cottage with a fireplace and all the other comforts of home, centrally located in a peaceful residential section of Lake Placid, within a five minute walk to Main Street? You found it! Maintained by the owners, we personally make sure the Cottage is always delightfully inviting and will leave you dreaming of your next visit. So fully furnished, you won't miss a thing, even your first cup of coffee or tea, when you wake up your first morning! Just added this spring, a gas fire pit on the deck for additional warmth and enjoyment of your evenings on the deck.

Amazing Stay

Highland Cottage is a great local stay in Lake Placid. Yes, the bed is up in the loft and you can’t stand up, but that was no issue for us. We loved the place and will be back.

Slice of heaven

Highland cottage is a beautiful slice of lake placid. This is my second time staying here and I will definitely come again. It is walking to main Street and a short drive to the high peaks. Lots of amenities.

Perfect place for weekend getaway

Cozy and Charming Cottage

Cozy , quiet, and charming cottage, with many amenities provided by owner. Location was perfect for us, a short drive to Whiteface Mountain and many hiking trails in the area.

A lovely stay

The cottage was perfect! Great location, very clean and tidy. You can see that the homeowner takes pride in the property! We also enjoyed the hot tub!

We stayed here with my family for Lake Placid Ironman and this place is perfect for it. It comfortably suit our family of 4 (my wife, myself and our two kids age 5 and 8) plus my TT bike and all my triathlon gear. Cathy, the host, is great and responds quickly to messages. I would stay here again for sure.

Lake Placid Cottage Stay

Super cute, quaint cottage a close walk to Main Street in Lake Placid. It was much bigger than we anticipated. We enjoyed our stay. Bed is upstairs in a loft, so we had to basically crawl in and out of it but we didn’t mind. Loved the bathroom, kitchen, and living room area. Perfect for a getaway. Highly reccommend staying here.

Such an incredible stay!

Just loved everything about this place! The cabin has everything you can possibly need- and then some! Location is perfect and peaceful. Cathy is a wonderful host- super responsive and accommodating. Enjoyed every minute.

Adorable cottage for a great price!

Highland Cottage was perfect for our weekend getaway. The cottage was close to Main Street and offered all of the amenities of home including juice in the frig and cookies on the counter. The cottage was cozy and we even decided to stay in on Saturday night and cook. Best place we've rented in Lake Placid! Can't wait to go again!

Like Coming Home

Nice Vacation

It was first time that our family went to Adirondacks on a vacation. Cottage was in a good location. We spend some time at the Mirror lake. Olympic museum was within walking distance. The best thing was the hot tub, after a long hike it helped a lot. Thank you for the delicious cookies.

Great getaway

It was our second time there and it was better than we remembered! The cottage is cozy, clean and stocked with more than we could have asked for! Love the area and so nice to park your car and leave it there! We walked to downtown Lake Placid and Mirror Lake! Beautiful area and wonderful cottage! Thank you McKenzie for welcoming us with the delicious chocolate chip cookies! Would highly recommend this cottage👍😊

Location location location

This place is perfectly located to enjoy all Main Street has to offer without having to find parking. Walked to everything. The “bedroom” was the only thing that we didn’t like. It’s a tiny little loft space more suitable for a kid to sleep so we slept on the couch. Bathroom was great, kitchen worked well. Will be back

Cozy Lake Placid Cabin

Just lovely - the cabin is just so cute on a nice quiet street. A real short walk and you are in town for shopping and dining. We enjoyed easy access to hikes just a short drive out from town with beautiful scenery all around. Plenty of cookware in the kitchen if you care to cook! And the bed is very comfy. The hosts, Cathy and Ted, are quick to respond if you have a question and delightful to deal with. Very relaxing! We had a wonderful time!
