Looking for a small, cozy, cleverly furnished Cottage with a fireplace and all the other comforts of home, centrally located in a peaceful residential section of Lake Placid, within a five minute walk to Main Street? You found it! Maintained by the owners, we personally make sure the Cottage is always delightfully inviting and will leave you dreaming of your next visit. So fully furnished, you won't miss a thing, even your first cup of coffee or tea, when you wake up your first morning! Just added this spring, a gas fire pit on the deck for additional warmth and enjoyment of your evenings on the deck.

The host Ted was extremely accommodating and the cottage was so well equipped. It was especially nice that we were given chocolate chip cookies, and prosecco on our arrival. The cottage was so sweet and had everything we needed. Would highly recommend.

The host was extremely welcoming and accommodating! Excellence communication due to the snow storm and record cold negative 20 degree temps. Came over immediately to assess bathroom pipes , such great attention to customer service and always making sure I was okay in the cold weather. Always made sure sidewalks were clear and driveway was plowed. The cabin is cozy and so cute. I loved the gas fireplace, ronantic ,cozy comfortable and so clean. Well stocked kitchen and bathroom. I was very hapoy there!

Highland Cottage is a great local stay in Lake Placid. Yes, the bed is up in the loft and you can’t stand up, but that was no issue for us. We loved the place and will be back.

Perfect weekend getaway

Such a cozy cabin, and very well stocked with the basics. The location was fantastic too, secluded yet within walking distance of the downtown shops and restaurants. We definitely plan to come back!

Slice of heaven

Highland cottage is a beautiful slice of lake placid. This is my second time staying here and I will definitely come again. It is walking to main Street and a short drive to the high peaks. Lots of amenities.

We stayed here with my family for Lake Placid Ironman and this place is perfect for it. It comfortably suit our family of 4 (my wife, myself and our two kids age 5 and 8) plus my TT bike and all my triathlon gear. Cathy, the host, is great and responds quickly to messages.
