Spring Training get away!

Property location is great! Some cobwebs needed to be cleared and hall shower did not drain well. A little maintenance would go a long way with this great location!

AZ Getaway

Overall, this property was as advertised. It offered a nice location and had plenty of room for all of us to be comfortable . The beds were also comfortable, and the property came well equipped with everything we needed. If you're looking to use a pool/hot tub you might be disappointed as the pool isn't heated and there is no way to turn on the jets in the hot tub. Also, the check out process was a little excessive as you have to strip the beds, take out the trash and run the dishwasher. Those are some of the things I go on vacation to get away from. Overall, the Southwest Sanctuary was enjoyable and we would likely go back in the future.

The stay -

Good place - we had torrential rain - a little seepage in through the front door - but - understandable with the crazy weather - otherwise a good place and nice location.

Good location

Location is very good and close to canal walking/biking paths. Property is older and AC worked well but be aware it will be freezing in the first bedroom and not so much in the master. Amenities were good with a nice quiet pool and condo had a well stocked kitchen with spices etc. Unfortunately we did have a gardener with a noisy leaf blower show up unannounced on a weekday morning while we were still in our PJs. He needed to enter the condo to reach the bedroom patio… needless to say it was disruptive. We also had a not so friendly neighbour who was very annoyed when we parked in front of her garage unknowingly (we thought it belonged to our condo). She was also very unhappy that we left E scooters in the parking lot completely out of the way and took it upon herself to park them blocking our front door. Overall it is a nice condo and has a lovely patio… but it was not a home run.

Quiet Get Away

The home was perfect for our needs, and the pictures and the description of the property are spot on. The kitchen is exceptionally equipped, which makes cooking a breeze. Great patio, the grill should be upgraded, a 5-minute walk to the pool, centrally located to golf and shopping. Some minor tweaks should be done to the property and have been reported to the management company. The management company is a little bit overbearing when you're booking the property but very responsive to any needs. We will definitely stay here again.

The house was in the perfect location. Walking/bike trail nearby. I really enjoyed having the bikes on-site to use. The house was very clean. We enjoyed our stay.

We had a great stay!

The property was spacious ,clean, and well appointed. It was in a good neighborhood. Check in and communication was easy. We loved the proximity to the Greenbelt for our daily morning walks. We would definitely like to stay here again!

Relaxing stay in Scottsdale!

Very solid, quietus, well-maintained place. Beds were comfy. Climate control worked great. Close to everything you need. Patio was great for eating and relaxing. The two bikes that come with the place were very nice to have. Lemon tree above parking space was dropping fresh lemons every day, who knows we used for fresh squeezed lemonade. We enjoyed our stay very much, and would go back again.

Nice place in a good location

Overall this property worked well for my husband and I. The pictures and description are an accurate representation. However, some of the information that we received from the property manager in advance of entering was inaccurate which created a fair amount of communication challenges and frustration. When you call the property management company - Casago - the person answering can't help and you have to wait until the person familiar with the property calls you back. Some things to note - the community pool is unheated. I specifically asked about it before booking and was told it would be heated by the management company, but it wasn't. In addition, the uncovered parking is directly under a lemon tree which drops lemons onto your car if it is in season (there were a lot!). There is guest parking in other places in the complex which you can use.

enjoyable visit

Clean, bright, quiet comfortable house. We appreciated all the amenities including, bicycles, pool and tennis court access, lovely patio and grill, washer/dryer, parking, wifi and kitchen stocked with all the cookware, dishes, etc. we needed. Easy access to highway and main roads for travel around Scottsdale and into downtown Phoenix.

The location was wonderful for our needs. The living area was attractive, clean and comfortable. The kitchen was very well equipped and updated. The bedrooms, however, seemed a little musty and needed airing out ..new carpet or something. Towels old and not matched although bathrooms clean. Rental agency managing unit supplied one pod of dishwashing and clothes washing detergent, one extra trash bag and one extra roll of toilet paper. This has not happened before when we have rented through VRBO.

I'm sorry to hear about the way the bedrooms seemed to you - we are addressing that as a cleaning issue and looking into new bed spreads. The towel situation is inexcusable. An over-sight .... Unfortunately, you do not get to benefit from our follow-up but future guests will as we supply new matching towels for the condo and be sure to provide more cleaning provisions. It has been the experience of our company that we do not supply a full stay's supply of detergents, toilet paper or paper towels but we do try to have plenty for the first few days to get you started until guests can get to the grocery store. We hope you'll consider staying with us in the future - we'd like to show you how we can improve and follow-up.

Dirty, stale smoke, dark.....not a “sanctuary” in Scottsdale

Would never use this rental group in Scottsdale and would never rent this particular home in Scottsdale. We entered the “Sanctuary” and were met with stale smoke, dark rooms and scratched furniture and cabinets. When we called our “friendly” rep- she told us she would look into finding another house but we never received another call from her. Don’t bother with this rental because it would need an entire overhaul. The rooms had crappy beds/linen, little to no lamps, showers were small and dirty and lacked hot water....never again!

Upon investigation by the owner it was determined that there was a very high likelihood, (neighbors eyewitness account), that the renters in this instance not only had a dog staying in the unit, which is against the rules, but smoked inside the unit. We have since gone to great expense to have all of the vents scrubbed, filters changed, dryer vents cleaned, and have replaced the carpet in all the rooms with new wood plank. The home is immaculate now. It would seem that their protests against the unit and the property management company were a preemptive tactic to shed blame and responsibility away from them knowing that they would be found in violation.. We are proud of our rental home and as evidence by the vast majority of reviews that our guests, as a rule, are very pleased. With that said we will continue to encourage honest feedback and make changes to ensure a wonderful vacation experience. Best Regards, Susanna McKibben Casago

Southwest Sanctuary

I am so pleased I chose your lovely home when looking for that "special home away from home" for my month in Scottsdale to spend with family and friends. Thank you for thinking of everything one might need for cooking and relaxing too. I will miss having my coffee on the patio with the hummingbirds. This was our favorite gathering spot. I hope to be able to lease your home again in 2016.
