About Amy Hudson and Scott Deming
We are a family of five who live in Denver, Colorado. When the kids are not participating in soccer, baseball or other activities, we spend as much time as we can together in the outdoors.
Amy Hudson and Scott Deming purchased this House in 2014
Why Amy Hudson and Scott Deming chose Winter Park Highlands
We chose Grand County because of its proximity to Denver. Less than a 90-minute drive and no Eisenhower Tunnel. The house is on a peaceful, tree-filled-two acre lot, with lots of sunshine. It's a great place to relax. We’re centrally located and close to downhill skiing at Winter Park and Ski Granby Ranch, cross country skiing at Devil’s Thumb and Snow Mountain Ranch, mountain biking and hiking up and down the Fraser Valley, fishing and boating at Lake Granby and soaking at Hot Sulphur Springs.
What makes this House unique
We love the sun shine that streams in through living room windows, and enjoying the star-filled sky from the hot tub. The house has a downstairs that is perfect for kids to hang out and have their own space, while the adults can relax in the upstairs. It works great for two families.

An amazing mountain vacation
My family and I stayed at the Mountain Home the last week of March. We had an amazing time. The house is very well stocked with everything you may need. Very kid friendly and dog friendly. One of the best vacations my family has taken. Thanks for a great stay!
We had a great time!
The place is beautiful! We spend only 2 days there and we didn’t want to leave... the beds are very comfortable and the kitchen is very well equipped. We really enjoyed the hot tub at night, it is so peaceful!. Our only issue was to find the garbage dumpster... a map would have helped ;). We are looking forward to come back to spend more days there.
Mountain Get Away
Winter Park Highlands is a beautiful home in a beautiful setting. It is perfect for a family get together. The living room, dining room and kitchen are open and spacious for hanging out. The two bedrooms are very comfortable and the bunk room provides extra sleeping space. The views are gorgeous. We were there for a ski vacation but this would be equally perfect for summer or fall. We hope to be back!
Love this house, very clean and loved the privacy! It feels like it's in the middle of nowhere which was what we were looking for. Very comfortable overall, but the bunkbeds were the only thing that were not comfortable for adults. Other than that, it was great and we will definitely return!
Everything you could ask for
What a beautiful place! Very easy to get to and just a short drive to Winter Park. We totally enjoyed our stay. This house was warm and cozy. The beds were super comfortable with plenty of blankets and pillows. The kitchen was stocked with everything you could need. Great towels for showering ( very important) even a big thick spa robe in the master bathroom! Our snowboarders made great use of the hot tub each night as well as the outdoor fire pit. I highly recommend this home! Thank you!
Lots of beds and room
The only negative was that we were required to drive to another location to drop off the garbage. Since it snowed heavily the day before, we were concerned bout getting stuck on the snowpacked side roads. I took several bags with me and disposed of them at home. Considering the big expense of this house, not to mention a cleaning fee, I would think that the owners could figure out a way to dispose of the garbage themselves.
