The accommodations exceeded my expectations.... My friends enjoyed Big Bear and raved about the house. I could not have asked for a better weekend.
Perfect family getaway!
We had a wonderful stay with friends and family over Spring Break.
AMAZING!!! This cabin was everything we wanted and MORE!
First, the booking process was simple and easy and the owner was prompt and very friendly!
Second, we met a wonderful and sweet person at the cabin to check in/exchange keys. She walked the cabin with us and showed us the features and answered any questions that we had. She also assured us that we could call her with any issues or further questions. Further, the owner left us chocolates and a bootle of wine that was a touch far beyond anything we expected!
As far as the cabin...it is AMAZING! The decor is themed and there is no detail that is spared. I mean moose drawer pulls, bear cutlery, bear oil painting and antler chandeliers. The cabin has EVERYTHING that you will need from detergent, to shampoo and conditioner, tons of pans and everything you could need in the kitchen, spices, great outdoor grill, trash bags, spa towels and SO much more. It was easy to feel cozy and at home with all the supplies available for use. Also, the location of the cabin is wonderful and is in an upscale neighborhood surrounded by other high end cabins. We felt very safe, but it was also peaceful and very quiet. The cabin is laid out perfectly with so much room in the open concept kitchen, living room and eating area. It was so spacious, yet we all felt like we were still together when hanging out. There was also a perfect little office that two members of our group were thrilled with as there were a few days that they had to work from the cabin.
We will definitely be back!!! We have been coming to Big Bear for years, but this cabin is "the one" and the customer service was impeccable!
Can't ask for too much more
Starting from the beginning, the host LJ was easy to work with and walked me through everything as a 1st time user. I had lots of questions regarding the security of my info during booking, the property, and the area itself and she made me more than comfortable booking with her and that we chose the right property for ourselves (3 families: 5 adults/5 children).
The property: a very nice, laid out, spacious cabin! The eat-in kitchen w/ bartstools bellied up to the counter was absolutely perfect when cooking family meals. Has basically everything you need, wouldn't worry about having to bring stuff. The kitchen opens to the family room where you have full sightlines to keep an eye on the kiddos.
4 full bedrooms. MBR has fireplace and on-suite. Kid room was amazing, 2 bunk beds, small tv, loads of toys and the deal sealer was a whole roll of butcher paper that can span the whole room if need be. The kids can draw/color and have plenty of space to do so! Bathrooms had toiletries. plenty of towels, blankets etc. Laundry room w/ sink and W&D came in handy!
Located near a tubing run which is convenient even though we did not use. Just a couple minute drive to grocery stores/shops/eateries and only a few more minutes to the Village. Minutes to the lifts as well.
Kids played a lot in the back yard, don't forget the hot tub, and garage had plenty of snow toys too (sleds, discs, etc)
LJ has a local property manager, Linda, who was a HUGE help. The water heater had gone out and we could not get it to stay lit. Made a call to Linda and she had someone there within the hour on a snowy Friday night and he had it up and running in no time...amazing. Linda was easy to get a hold of, responded quickly, and was quick to address any questions we had. Bonus points right there.
Notes: No street parking, can get one large or 2 small vehicles in the garage, and we fit 2 large vehicles in the driveway.
Fireplaces are gas so no need to buy wood.
Would definitely deal w/ LJ again here or any other property and would feel secure the money has been well spent. You can tell she set this up as a home and not "just a rental". Kudos to LJ, Linda and the whole experience!
Our family loved our stay at your cabin. The property manager was wonderful and made us feel so welcomed. We can't wait to come back!!!
LJ is awesome! The cabin is amazing and we had everything we needed and wanted. Linda was also great, and was there for anything we needed. I highly recommend this cabin. Great weekend! Will stay again.
