A true rental by owner. Everyone who visits here feels at home. The condo is beautifully and thoughtfully appointed, as we want our guests to have all they need. All the bedrooms have vaulted ceilings and most rooms face east so they're sun drenched throughout the day. Perfect for those who love to watch the sunrise with blackout panels for those who'd rather rise a little (or a lot) later. The kitchen and living room make for easy socializing with extra seating and ottomans so everyone can put their feet up. We love to cook and bake so everything you need to whip up meals and post skiing treats is at your fingertips while staying in the mix with friends and family. The balconies overlooking the pool make it easy to hit the hot tub without being surprised by a crowd or to call down to offer help to those who might be using one of the two gas grills poolside. The option of the upstairs seating area with it's own fireplace, and TV make it ideal for families sharing the space. Once here it's easy and ideal to park the car and walk or ride the bus to your destination. Should you choose to take a shuttle from the airport, City Market will deliver your groceries so you're fully stocked when you arrive.

About Michelle

Rental by owner, we have a large family, many of whom are spread all over but we often reconvene here in the mountains, in our bit of paradise. We are meticulous in caring for guests and will make ourselves available should you have questions during your stay.

Michelle purchased this condo in 1978

Why Michelle chose Lionshead Village

That's us in 1982 with all 9 children in full 80's gear. The place has evolved and updated, as has our family. Thirty-five + years since that photo we have added spouses and 30 grandchildren, all of whom have spent many trips in this condo and love Vail. Everyone who comes to this beautiful village sees it as a wonderland regardless of season, for us it is a place we love and have built countless priceless memories year round. We've taken great care to ensure our family can enjoy it for many years to come and hope that you make many memories as well during your stay.

What makes this condo unique

Adrenalin junkies to introverts, Vail provides for all types and interests. Warming up for a morning on the slopes doesn't get better than sipping coffee, checking out the snowfall while sitting fireside. Aching muscles and bruised egos are easily mended with a steam, followed by a hot tub, beer in hand surveying the mountain. It's pretty idyllic for those who would rather curl up instead of making turns as well. If your legs are burning from a day of bumps you can hop the bus but it is a short walk to the Old World Austrian Charm of Vail and Lionshead. Whether you are craving a ski adventure or a summer getaway, we welcome skiers, families and vacationers from around the world to experience Vail Valley tranquility.

Hot tub is huge, and pool is heated! Condo has plenty of kitchen supplies so we were able to cook for the 10 of us! I highly recommend this condo...short walk to Lionshead gondola and right at the bus stop at the library.

We felt the property was everything that was advertised. It exceeded our expectations.

I feel Michelle and her family have really put a lot of thought into preparing the property for rent. As soon as you walk in the door you can tell they have a lot of pride in their condo. The pictures on the wall really tell the history of the place. The location in Lionshead Village is very manageable. You have a short walk to the gondola in Lionshead Village or take a bus to Vail Village if your prefer. The recommendation of double diamond ski rental really worked out for us as we were able to leave our skis and boots at the store after skiing. We ate out most of the time, but the kitchen is equipped with everything you need for your stay. With the short walk to both villages and the busses that are available as soon as your arrive at the condo you can park your car and not have to use it again until you leave. We had 5 guys staying in the condo and we all had our own bedroom. I think this place is ideal for a couple of families to have an awesome experience in Vail. We all look forward to our next visit to Vail and Michelle and her family will be the first one we contact to rent. Thank you Michelle from helping make our experience in Vail such a memorable one. Your home away from home is awesome!!!

Great for families!

We loved our stay here and the owner couldn't have been more accommodating. We had 6 children and 4 adults with room to spare. Our girls loved the loft area connected to our room and one decided we were too far away so slept on the couch in the upstairs master. When we told the owner we were making Christmas cookies, she ordered cookie sheets and cutters for us. We were in walking distance to the slopes which was great with kids. The Vail bus service, which runs right into Vail Village (3 minutes away or you could walk) is just out around the corner from the condo.

We were told there would be a few upgrades added this year, like a washer and dryer, wish would be more convenient. (There's a community laundry room the floor below.) Overall, great place to stay for large families because it's so convenient!

The Condo is a 7 minute stroll to the charm of Vail Village and 5 from Lionshead where you will find the Eagle-Bahn Gondola, Born Free Express Quad Lift and Vail Ski School. We are adjacent to the Dobson Ice Arena, which is great not only for skating but often offers concerts and events. Across from the Ice Arena is the Vail Public Library, a terrific resource for fascinating weekly lectures, as well as books and movies. In front of the Library and Ice Arena you will find the In-Town and Out-Town free shuttles which run regularly to all major stops for incredible restaurants, bars, shops, galleries, events, festivals and nightlife.

Any sign of tobacco or marijuana use will result in eviction if found out during the stay, this includes on the balconies as it is a smoke free building. If smoke or paraphernalia is found post stay by the cleaning crew and documented then the entire $1000 deposit will not be returned. We have not had to enforce these policies and hope to keep the record of people enjoying our family home without incident.

Owner's Cancellation Policy

  • 50% refund if canceled at least 30 days before arrival date.
  • 100% refund if canceled at least 60 days before arrival date.
  • Service Fee fully refunded on cancellations that qualify for 100% refund.
