Bedrooms: Master Bedroom Suite: King-size bed with fireplace, ceiling fan, stunning pool views, and private sliding door that opens out to the pool and rear patio. Private attached bath with soaking tub, tile shower, double vanities, one sink, and two huge walk-in closets. Bedroom 2 features a Cal-King size bed,ceiling fan, reach-in closet, and flatscreen TV. Bedroom 3 features 2 Full size beds, reach-in closet, and flatscreen TV. Bedroom 4 offers 2 Queen size beds, ceiling fan, and flatscreen TV. Introducing the newly updated Rancho mesa. This 3,000 square foot, 5 bedroom, 3 bath home is located on a spacious and completely private 1/2 acre lot with private pool, spa, and a grapefruit tree! This beautiful ranch style home's location cannot be beat, just minutes and walking distance from the Indian Wells Tennis Gardens.
Lets start this review off with agreeing to the previous review left for this property in regards to the management company being, Luxe Vacation Homes, being horrible. I have been to the desert for a mini weekend getaway MANY TIMES and yes I've had minor complaints here and there but nothing like this one experience.
Lets start with the house. THIS HOUSE NEEDS A LOT OF FIXING! DO NOT RENT THIS HOUSE! I REPEAT DO NOT RENT THIS HOUSE! Its a big piece of junk! The electricity does not work properly. All the outlets do not work, the lighting inside the bathroom and some of the rooms do not work. The refrigeration does not work properly. The pool along with the Jacuzzi is DISGUSTING! The house is dirty. There are a lot of things wrong with this house I can't even remember all the flaws.
I believe this is all the management company's fault. Luxe Vacation Homes just simply does not do a good job with maintaining this house. All the above flaws that i mentioned should have been brought to the owners attention and the management company should've done that. On their website they have mentioned that this house sleeps 14 people. Lets do the simple math, it has 5 bedrooms with 5 king, queen or twin beds, which sleep a maximum of two people, now 5 x 2 = 10. WHERE DOES THE OTHER 4 PEOPLE SLEEP? An air bed right? Or a pull out bed of some sort. WE HAD TO CALL THE MANAGEMENT COMPANY AND HAVE THEM SEND OVER TWO AIR BEDS AROUND 9pm. The air beds should've been in place when we got there. When they brought the air beds they did not bring any linens with it.
Their website, luxevh.com, also claims that this house has garage access. Guess what? NOPE! This house does not have garage access. If you are renting out a property that you own and your are using it as a source of business/income, you should not have any of the rooms blocked off for your PERSONAL belongings! It gets extremely hot in the deserts during the summer and this time of the month as well and having a garage so you can pull your car in and leave all the windows open so it stays cool is a MUST! A note to the owners...you make a lot of money on this stupid house and I'm sure you can afford a storage space to put all your personal belongings in.
I WISH I COULD'VE GIVEN THIS HOUSE -5 STARS, THAT'S HOW UNSATISFIED I AM!
Issue is mostly with the mgmt company, LUXE. The house is fine, pretty big and spacious, pool's a little gross, would have been nice if the dog poop in the backyard had been cleaned up, and oh, assuming they got the septic tank issue worked out.
Short-ish version is major in-house flooding from second bathroom after taking showers in other bathroom. Like, into hallways inch-high flooding. Not wanting the home's carpet to be ruined we scrambled to sop it up and called mgmt company. They came out, trudged in and around home for a while and indicated clog or back up in septic tank. Offered another place to us, but we were leaving next morning and the new place hadn't been cleaned yet, so would have moved at 10pm (4 teenage girls in tow) to leave early next day. They brought out unclogging company who worked not exactly quietly outside for a couple hours (past midnight), and left a note that issue was resolved. Issue was not resolved. Turned on water next day and flooding resumed. So, of the 40 or so hours at the house, we didn't have water for 18 of them. And two sessions of sopping up who knows what kind of water... Your welcome, homeowners.
Called Luxe afterward to see about an "accommodation" which seemed so simple and obvious. Instead, got "did you read your contract", " we don't do refunds". Weeks of run around and couldn't get email or call returned. Ultimately, saw they had rebated 250 on my credit card which amounted to about 10% off total price. Called after that, no return call, of course.
So that's my experience with rancho mesa. House is fine -- not really luxurious but big, lots of rooms and large backyard (good grapefruits). Really have issue with how it is being property-managed.
