About Michael Galvin

My wife and I are from New Orleans and we each vacationed in this area as children and have continued to vacation here throughout our marriage. We have enjoyed our time at 30a so much that we have now purchased a house to share with our family and guests. We are now retired and look forward to spending more time enjoying our beach paradise. We now live in Pass Christian, Mississippi to be closer to our grand daughter and beach home.

Why Michael Galvin chose Blue Mountain Beach

We were excited to be able to purchase a great house in the Village at Blue Mountain Beach. We have enjoyed our Village condominium for several years and wanted a larger place for our family and friends. Prior to owning at the Village we vacationed on the panhandle for many years. This area is always ranked in the top ten best beaches in the United States and is close to our family in New Orleans. Our house is the perfect size for large gatherings of family and friends. We love it here, and look forward to sharing our place with others.

What makes this house unique

Our home is close to the beach with both private and public beach access. There is a 22 mile bike/jogging path that runs alongside the coast and it is right outside our complex. This path goes to many beach access points and through seaside towns and villages. It is a great ride for a day or just a short trip.

If you want easy access to the beach, gated security for you and your guests, than this is the property for you. Our property is bordered on the north and east by state forests affording miles of hiking and biking trails.

Also, the Blue Mountain Beach area is in between Grayton/Seaside/Watercolor area and Destin area. So you can travel just a few miles either way for more choices of restaurants, galleries, golf, activities and still have the same spectacular beaches each way!

A diamond amongst gems..!

A wonderful home in a beautiful complex. Plenty of room for everyone and no waiting line for the bathrooms..! Very nicely decorated and appointed. The beds were extremely comfortable and were a welcome end to a hard day of having fun. The third floor balcony was a great place to have coffee in the morning, lounge during the day or watch the sunset in the evening. The community pool and work out area is about a 90 second walk away....two minutes if you take your time..! Very conveniently located for access to the beach, restaurants, shops and a Publix grocery store, not to mention a great little ice cream shop on the way to or from the beach.

Could not be more pleased with our accommodations. Definitely the place you would want to stay for a larger group, or even a smaller group if everyone wanted their own private bedroom.

And, lastly, the owners were a pleasure to work with. Friendly, accommodating, informative and treated us like we were old friends in the neighborhood.

Perfect for a large family with kids

We chose this property because of the 5th bedroom being a bunk room. This allowed all the "cousins" to share one room and all the parents to have a room to themselves. The location was perfect for what we wanted to do. Go to the beach and get fresh seafood. Being off of 30A is just a totally more laid back vacation than being in the main part of Destin, but if you want to hit that, it's a short drive. There are a number of good beach choices. We tried Grayton Beach state park which was not bad, but we found the beach entrance off of Gulfview Heights worked best for our crew. It was closer, had good restrooms, beach was beautiful and not too crowded. We found a new "hidden gem" for seafood -- "The Perfect Pig". If we get the opportunity to do this type of trip again, we would gladly stay at this location again.

Great Location! Beautiful accommodations!

The house is directly next to shuffle board & the pool is right behind. The beach is maybe 1/2 mile walk straight down 85. We drove a truck with all our beach stuff down early in the morning & parked & walked back. Then around 10 am when everyone was ready we all walked down. The location on 30A is perfect. A publix is a 5 minute drive out the back gate onto 85 (I do wish this gate had a key pad as well). The home easily accommodated our large family. We maxed out the number with 10 adults, 4 kids, & 3 infants. Every family had more then enough space & their own bathroom. The den is wide open with lots of seating for a large party & a huge dinning table for dinner as well as board games. Due to little kids we didn't use any of the decks, but there were several with lots of outdoor seating. We would return to this property again! The price was spot of for location & anminities & the owners were wonderful.

Loved this place!

We had 4 couples and 2 kids at this house and there was plenty of room. If you are carrying chairs and floats it's a little far to walk to the beach, but still easy to get to. The pool is wonderful and super close. I would definitely stay here again!

Beautifully decorated home and spacious.

My family and I enjoyed the location of the home. The beach was a quick drive from the home, we decided to drive instead of walking since we had kids and lots of things to carry. The home was perfect for us and the area is beautiful and not so busy. The ice cream shop on the corner was yummy! We will definitely be back for another vacation. Michael the owner was very helpful and even had a binder with restaurant locations and activities we could check out while our stay. He is great at replying and did his best to help our vacation be a success. Thanks for everything.

Ideal for anyone looking for a getaway!

Conveniently located so you're not watching beachgoers pass your house yet your access in only a quick stroll down the road..of course passing the most amazing ice cream shop ever on the halfway point from beach to house doesn't hurt either!
