Amazing as always
We can’t seem to stay away from this waterfall getaway! It is truly the most relaxing and tranquil place to go when you want to get away. The waterfall was amazing after a few days of rain. We will definitely be back to this beautiful, one of a kind house.
Second stay was a great as the first!
This was our second time at the Waterfall House and it was as great, if not better, than our first stay. The water level was higher, so the scenery was fantastic and the fishing was great, too. We are already looking forward to our next visit. Thanks, Bill and Gina!
Best anniversary getaway ever!!
Perfect getaway! We celebrated our anniversary here and it was fantastic. Bill was a great communicator, Gina met us there and walked through everything, it was clean, unique, and overall just lovely. This home is off the beaten path, private, and makes you feel like you’re camping out ...but in style! There are 2 bedrooms but a lot of glass and unique openings so there isn’t much privacy...if you come with others make sure you’re close! It is a bit of a walk from where you park to the front door, but it’s paved and they provide a cart to carry your things so it wasn’t an issue at all. In fact it’s a beautiful walk surrounded by trees and the sound of the waterfall. There is also amazing hiking in the area. We’ll definitely be back!!
This was our second stay at "Waterfall House." We love the seclusion and everything about it really. Gina is so sweet and super helpful!
Experience a masterpiece of one of the great Modernist architects of the 20th Century.
Completely immerse yourself in an improbable marriage of nature at its' best with a beautiful modernist work of art by the accomplished arcitect, Jim Fox. The sight and sounds of the adjacent falls and views of the surrounding woods from every vantage point in the home are truly indescribable. You are completely free from the influences of the external world...no TV/internet/phones. Despite being a self proclaimed "foodie" who loves dining out, this is one time I suggest you recruit your inner chef and stay put rather than driving a fair distance for fairly ordinary food in the surrounding towns. Though this is a 2 BR, 1 Bath home, if you travel with another couple you better be really comfortable together given the glass walls scattered throughout this exquisite property....privacy within the house is limited. There are a number of stairs, plus a short hike in from the parking to the front door down a well lit, somewhat steep, hard surface path, so you need reasonably good mobility to enjoy your visit. All in all this is a beautiful work of art in a serene setting that gives you the complete opportunity to leave the "wired world" behind.
A piece of Heaven
When I stepped from my car and heard the rushing water I knew I was in the perfect spot to spend a few relaxing days. After walking the short path to round the corner and see this beautiful home and magnificent waterfall was priceless. The views from every room in the house are exceptional. If you're up for it you can walk below to the waterfall or just sit on either the screened or open porch and enjoy being outside among the treetops. The caretaker, Gina, was at the house when we arrived. She helped us with our things and shared local information about the area. My Husband and I enjoyed this trip and will surely make plans to return in the near future. A special thank you to Bill and his Family for sharing this little piece of heaven with us.
