Enjoy a special holiday from this apartment located in the highest point of the old city.
Easy to reach and right in the centre of the city, the flat stands on one of the most ancient areas of Siena, 300 mt away from Piazza del Campo and the Cathedral.
The flat is located at the third floor inside a historical building in one of the highest spots in SienaBesides offering a breathtaking sight on the monuments and buildings, the flat has very nice interiors that match the classical Tuscan fashion combined to a more modern one. This well-finished style goes together with comfort and a cosy atmosphereThe bedrooms, a double and a twin, are large and homely, quiet and cosy. The option of a childbed is also available or a third bed for another person to sleep in the same room.
The Pienza Room
The double-beeded room Pienza has antique furniture, well combined with more modern details offering a totally romantic environment.
The Tower Room
The Tower room is a twin bedroom and the furniture’s style is early 1900s. The leading tones are aquamarine, for a full relax.
A wide and luminous living room with also a table to dine and relax area gives a wonderful sight on Siena’s roofs.
Just three steps up and you get to the bathroom (with shower).
A well-equipped kitchen faces the dining room, from which with a few steps you will be able to access the roof terrace for a breathtaking sight.
This apartmentt is the ideal location for those who want to discover Siena but also its surroundings: Chianti, Val D’Orcia and the closest Tuscan cities.
The flat can host up to 4 people: works perfectly for a couple but it is also very functional and comfortable for a lonely traveller.
For those who want to know more about the Palio, thanks to the flat’s position it will be possible to live a unique experience just at the heart of one of Siena’s Contradas: the Contrada of Pantera (panther/leopard).
Easy to get there by car or by public transport.
The flat is an ideal base to discover Tuscany.
Siena is in the heart of Tuscany and enclosed by famous world pearls like the wonderful Chianti hills, the Val D'Orcia, the Maremma.
Being an old medieval town, Siena's historic centre was not designed for motor vehicles and therefore car traffic is restricted.
However if you're driving a car there are some big parkings within three to ten minutes walking distance from the apartment.
Free parkings are also available a bit further; from there a public shuttle bus will take you close to the apartment.
If you're travelling by bus or by train, you have the options to take a taxi (about 10 min ride), to walk (about 20 mins) or by public bus.
In any case, before your arrival, you'll be sent a brochure with all the details on how to get to the apartment and lots of useful information about the area.
Hi, I'm Monica.
I'm taking care of this flat with my boyfriend Fulvio.
We really hope that during your stay you may discover that Siena is not a place to be given only one day, but that it deserves a whole holiday.
Our aim is to give comfort to your stay by offering a high-quality accommodation that may also b the starting point for excursions in the surroundings of the city.
Monica e Fulvio purchased this apartment in 2009
LIVE SIENA FROM THE VERY TOP is a flat to rent for tourists.
The minimum stay is 3 nights.
I am delighted to write the first review for this wonderful apartment! It is so beautiful, splendidly decorated with Tuscan antiques, and provides a magnificent 360 degree view of Siena from the lovely terrace. You really feel on top of the world!
The apartment was spotless and furnished with lots of extras -- soaps, shampoo, coffee, teas, and provided all the essentials and more for snacks and home-cooked meals. Monica and Fulvio are the most gracious hosts and I immediately felt like a welcomed guest. They provide excellent guidance both verbally and in writing and are extremely prompt in responding to any issues (there was a slight outage in the WiFi system which Monica resolved immediately).
This is a new property on the Siena market and I'd been searching for a long while to find the right place for my 8-day vacation. I admit that the lack of reviews caused some hesitation initially, but following my correspondence with Monica -- and my intuition! -- I went forward with the booking. I'm so glad I did! This will always be my top choice of stay in Siena, not only because of the competitive price point, but also for the five star quality (I love authentic, antique Tuscan décor), its central location with all the sights within a few minutes' walk, and the excellent service provided by Monica and Fulvio.
Grazie mille per tutto, Monica e Fulvio!
We felt very fortunate to have found Monica's lovely and large apartment. We were there for 3 nights, and it was the perfect place to stay while in Siena. Our train was really late, but she accommodated us, and met us at the apartment for the tour. This is, by far, the largest place we stayed during our one-month journey through France and Italy. It was a sanctuary for us, especially the outside deck, which overlooks the entire town. The apartment was very well furnished, clean, and comfortable. Thank you Monica!
Great location, it is really city center, 2 minutes from good restaurants, shops and of course main places in Siena - Duomo and Campo piazza. It is very big and interesting apartment with a plenty of rooms and roof terrace. We were with 2 kids - they could not stop playing there. Monica is very nice and helpful, special thanks to her!
Spectaculars Siena views from all windows, comfortable beds and good kitchen with equipment with drinkable water filter. Parking was not a problem - we found a good free parking very close to city gate. It was really great time and if we will return to Sienna we would like to choose this apartment only!
This is an amazing property with views over Siena and the surrounding countryside. It is on the third floor, so best for people who are quite mobile. The apartment has everything you need - perhaps too much, in a way, since it has two dining areas. Might be better to create more space for relaxing. It is very well appointed and spotlessly clean for such a venerable building. As in many places in Italy, the WiFi seems to be rather slow. Just something to get used to. We were a little surprised to be asked to pay the full amount before we arrived, but Monica was unfailingly helpful in all respects, and, hopefully, the payment plan will sort itself out as the owners gain more experience. Would definitely recommend this for a stay in Siena.
Soak in the magical atmosphere of a unique city.
At the very heart of Tuscany and surrounded by world-famous sites like Chianti, Val D’Orcia (Orcia valley) and Maremma, Siena is definitely one of the most interesting and magical Medieval cities to visit in Italy.
About the PALIO
It is the city’s most important event and it is part of the local people’s life for the whole year and since the day they were born.
It is a complex and fascinating tradition , so the best way to discover it and understand it is to stop by in the 4 days that introduce the Palio to get a closer look to how locals feel and behave and to the city itself, that is completely transformed.
The race takes places every year on 2nd July (Palio dedicated to Our Lady of Provenzano) and on 16th August (Palio dedicated to Our Lady of the Assumption).
