This Garden District location -- upper unit-- features a newly furnished large unit in a home off St. Charles Ave. (lake side) and street car line. Truly, this home is located in one of New Orleans most desired neighborhoods. Restaurants, coffee shops, streetcar stop, Mardi Gras parades, towering live oaks and much more New Orleans offers is right outside your door. The Elms Mansion, an event venue, is only two blocks away. The home is remodeled with an open floor plan. A large dining table can seat up to 10 people. Additional dining space is outdoors. The lush courtyard offers a restful space to sit and relax after busy days touring or attending festivals. Families are especially welcome. The unit is approximately 2200 square feet. We also rent our lower unit (388020) as a VRBO which families or friends may be able to rent at the same time.
Sleeping accommodations present several options. The master suite includes a queen size bed with a connected shared bath with bedroom 2. Bedroom 2 also includes a queen size bed and access to the bathroom. Bedroom 3 features two twin beds in a spacious bedroom. (A small room adjacent to this bedroom has a twin bed; if this is needed, we do charge additionally for our housekeeper's service--$40.) This bedroom includes an en suite full bath. A half bath is located in the hallway. A family would have much space to accommodate children.
Central air conditioning and shaded street and yard provide for cool and comfortable relaxation from summer heat. See "Amenities" for additional information.

Our home is located just off the intersection of beautiful St. Charles Avenue. Restaurants and shops are within walking distance. At Mardi Gras time, parades pass only 100 feet from our gated entrance. Throughout the year, visitors can walk out to the streetcar stop which will take visitors to downtown New Orleans--Canal St. and Bourbon St., the Warehouse District, and Audubon Zoo and the university area. I think what you will appreciate most is the hospitality we offer in doing whatever we can to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable.
What makes this Apartment unique
While this mid century home is located among historical, old houses, the unit has an open, relaxed feel. Some of the mid-century details remain--hardwood floors throughout the living/dining areas and bedrooms as well as black and white floor tiles in the bathrooms. The sunroom, which overlooks the courtyard, allows for natural light to flood the living and dining areas. (*The sunroom is not listed as living space due to energy conservation.)

House was perfect and had everything we needed. The beds are super comfy.
Perfect location! This wonderful house is just half a block from the famous St. Charles street car. Our family of six stayed here for New Years and we were able to park our car at the house for all 5 days. You are within walking distance of Magazine street and can take a quick trip on the street car to the French quarter, WW II museum, and Audubon Park. Karen was very welcoming and provided all necessary information. The house is well stocked with all necessities and even provided coffee, cream, and sugar, which was a nice surprise. The house is clean, well maintained, in a safe neighborhood, and easily slept all 6 of us. We would definitely stay here again! Thank you Karen!
Great location and beautiful property
This is a beautiful property, we rented both units and enjoyed our stay for our daughters wedding. The property was well supplied, Karen was a great hostess and made us feel welcome in this property. The location was fabulous, the streetcar outside the unit was great for guests coming to visit us. If we ever have another family event in New Orleans this is the place we will be renting!!

Excellent place to stay in new orleans
You can't go wrong with this home. It really feels like home. Cozy and beautifully kept. What makes it even better you are right in the garden district. Seconds to the street cars, we didn't even get a rental car and saw everything. Karen was wonderful, answered all my question and very personable. Would stay again.
St Charles Avenue is less than 100 feet away. Mardi Gras parades pass this intersection, and the St. Charles street car stop is also at this intersection. Some of New Orleans finest restaurants and boutique shopping are short walks from our location. The French Quarter is a 2.5 mile street car ride or a short cab ride. The Superdome and New Orleans Convention Center are also short drives.

Rates are subject to change until reservation is confirmed with initial payment. A photocopy of a valid driver's license is required upon acceptance of the rental agreement. Please know that we do not accept bookings over one year in advance. If an instant booking is made more than one year in advance, a cancellation refund will be made. We do not allow for bachelor or bachelorette parties or "party type groups" and require responsible and respectful guests.
