Overview

About the property

2 bedroom, 1 bath beachfront cabin

Come unplug, relax, recharge and de-stress at this beach retreat on central Whidbey Island! Walk along the beach and enjoy the views of the Olympic Mountains, Puget Sound, and watch the ferry cross back and forth between Coupeville and Port Townsend. Visit nearby Fort Casey State Park or the Crockett Lake bird sanctuary. There are many outdoor activities to choose from, as well as good food, services, unique shops and even a whale museum!

The cabin is small, cozy and cute. With great windows for beach and water views! Open kitchen living and dining space, with two bedrooms and one full bath. The larger bedroom has a King size bed, closet and dresser. The 2nd bedroom, just off of the dining area, is smaller with a queen bed, dresser and closet. Brand new mattresses were purchased for both beds in the fall of 2016. The full size bathroom is located between the two bedrooms. Keystone avenue follows the water and is a quiet road that allows for a nice stroll if you don't want to walk on the rocky beach.

Shopping, eating, wine tasting, hiking, biking, parks, water fun etc. is all close by! Take the nearby ferry to Port Townsend - you don't even need to take your car. The town that almost was Seattle, is full of great shops, dining ,and history! Other fun things there include a theater, wooden boat center, marina, museums, Fort Warden... with local tours available.

Shopping and dining opportunities can also be found in nearby Coupeville, as well as Oak Harbor, Greenbank, Freeland and Langley. Coupeville is the oldest town in Washington State, and a great home base for exploring locally.

Whidbey Island is also in close proximity to Seattle, Anacortes, and the San Juan Islands for an enjoyable day trip. From arts, farmers markets, music, and seasonal events such as winery, farm and art tours, to apple pressing, parades, welcoming the whales, etc. there is often many more activities happening around here than one can possibly partake in!

So come unplug, and unwind and get reconnected with yourself, a loved one or friend. The busy world will still be there when you get back, but you will be better able to handle it!

What a perfect place to get away!

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I took a long weekend and wanted to get away somewhere on a quiet beach without too many people around. This cottage was perfect! The house layout is fun and efficient. The kitchen is really well stocked with any pots, pans, utensils, or tools you might need. The gas fireplace made the house nice and cozy for a rainy, windy weekend snuggled up watching the waves come rolling in. Everything was clean and well maintained. We've already recommended this property to numerous friends, and will likely be back. Thanks!

Perfect Weekend

  • 5 of 5

Four of us went away for a birthday celebration weekend and thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this sweet cabin. As it was October, we were literally the only ones walking on the beach many times. Having the beach right outside the door was lovely. The beach itself is a pebble beach with gorgeous patterns and colors to view as you walk. The air was clear, and the sky amazing.

The cabin was just right for us. We enjoyed the open kitchen so that we could cook and talk at the same time. Small stove and fridge both functioned well, and the kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans, cutting boards, knives (bring your own, if you like sharp ones!), glasses, plates and utensils. Everything was clean when we arrived, and the bedrooms comfortable. The heat and gas stove kept us warm as it was cool in the evenings. Note that one of the bedrooms is off the kitchen and with the vaulted ceiling is open at the top. That bedroom is noisier than the bedroom in the back of the cabin.

Lots of fun restaurants and shops are close by in Coupeville, Freeland and Langley. We really enjoyed Bayview Farm and Garden, which had a great gift shop. We also took a ferry trip to Port Townsend as the ferry is only a little over a mile away from the cabin.

The owners were very responsive and answered our questions promptly. We appreciated the great customer service we received, and the detailed information they provided about the area.

All in all, I would recommend this cabin for anyone who wants to get away and enjoy a peaceful and relaxing stay on Whidbey. We certainly hope to return again next year!

Gorgeous setting right on the beach where you can watch ships, ferries and the setting sun.

The location of the cottage as well as the basic layout is great. However, as mentioned by another guest, the rental wasn't very clean (mold along shower doors, dirty carpet and throw rugs) and the bed in the guest bedroom is very hard with creaking springs. The kitchen stove is a disaster with knobs that easily fall off and faulty oven control. The potential is there for a great, little rental but the inside really needs some attention-a thorough cleaning and paint throughout.

Owner's Response: I am sorry to hear that the cabin was not properly cleaned for your arrival. I have addressed these issues with our cleaning crew. I went to the cabin myself early this morning and made sure things were in better condition for our next guests. I have processed a refund of your cleaning fee. Next time please do give us a call and we can take care of the issues immediately. We appreciate the feedback so we can make improvements.
