Beach Front Home, Huge Deck, Sleeps 12

Beach Front 4 bed 2 bath plus outdoor shower, with a huge 1600 square foot deck. Comfortably sleeps 12. Just minutes from Water Slides, Grocery Store, shopping, and multiple restaurants. Free High speed internet. Home hosts large groups with ease. The living and kitchen areas are open and bright with unobstructed views of the beach and ocean with a wall of windows. We love to watch our family enjoying the beach from the deck, and can yell for them when time to come back. We love to cook at the beach, so the Kitchen is set with dishes, pots, silverware, cooking utensils, baking utensils, Keurig and standard drip coffee pot, toaster and crockpot. New appliances as of September 2021. Living room has plenty of seating for all! 3 sofas, 1 love seat, 2 oversized chairs and a rocking recliner, 60" smart flat screen TV with tons of streaming options. Master bedroom has a king bed, wall mounted Smart TV and large attached bathroom. Bed 2 and 3 both have queen beds and smart TV’s, bed 4 has two twin over full solid wood custom built bunk beds and a Smart TV. Home has a whole home dehumidifier, as well as new ac system. The 1,500sqft HUGE deck has a large picnic table, 6 counter height deck chairs with table. Perfect for morning coffee, sunning, kites, and watching the stars at night. Downstairs features full concrete under home area, an outdoor shower to clean up after coming in from the beach, and a foot wash at the base of the stairs. Charcoal barbecue pit available, but bring your own if you plan to have an extensive BBQ. Plenty space for parking is available under the house and on adjacent lot.

Absolutely beautiful location with soft sand, stunning views, and a relaxing atmosphere. The water was gorgeous, and it was the perfect place to unwind and enjoy the scenery. My only complaint is that we didn’t stay long enough! I would have loved to spend more time soaking it all in. If you’re planning a visit, give yourself plenty of time you’ll likely wish you had stayed longer too.

Property is run down, no lights in three rooms , furniture torn up and broken, no power to the lamps, holes in doors snd walls . We booked in January For July 4th. Master stated king bed. No king bed when we arrived. Owner suggested everybody just sleep in Separate beds , there sre 7. Tv is blocked from connecting to the wifi on the property. Owner also raises the thermostat via his phone app. Not very nice either, rude even. When we had problems his solution was “ if you dont like the property, check out. Other people are waiting to stay”

This review is not FACTUAL. The renter called VRBO within 10 mins of checking into the home to say the AC was not working. She turned the Nest thermostat from the away mode of 77 down to 64. Within two hours the home was 68 degree. She never gave the AC even 10 mins to work before calling VRBO asking for a discount or refund. I never changed the AC thermostat remotely. Why would I do this? Nest Thermostat changes to Away Mode when the home is empty for over two hours. This is an automated feature. The home was just updated, we finished the day BEFORE you checked in. New AC, New whole home dehumidifier, new floors, new kitchen, new blankets, new pillows, new beds, new TV remotes, new pots and pans. The entire exterior was repainted. During the updates, the master king bed was updated for a new bed and changed to a queen. Again, this was done right before you checked in, and we were rushing to get the home ready for you. I forgot to change the bed size online. When you wanted a king bed brought to the beach on a Friday evening at 7pm, I offered you a FULL REFUND, as bringing you a bed that evening was not possible. If a light was not working in a room, maybe a breaker was tripped, I wish you would have mentioned this to me and I could have helped walk your thought fixing. Honestly you have rented this beach house multiple years in a row, so I am shocked by the review. I tried all I could to make you happy, even offering a 100% refund.

Why they chose this property

Our original beach house was destroyed by Hurricane Ike when our daughter was just 2 years old. We spent Memorial weekend 2008 there, and as we were leaving she waved to it and said, 'Bye bye water house.' Thirteen days later the house was gone with most of the peninsula. Rebuilding was a labor of love and in spring of 2012 we spent our first weekend in the 'Water House' on the beach we love.

What makes this property unique

We love Crystal Beach, the atmosphere is relaxed, and there is usually not a ton of traffic. We have full access to the beach, campfires, fishing and shell searching. We love to park on the beach to easily transport coolers and such, while still having easy access to our house. I am always able to keep an eye on the rest of the family at the house, while playing on the beach. Our kiddos love to go to the water slides just down the street, they will spend hours running up and sliding down! Our children and family LOVE the Water House!
