Beautiful home, relaxing atmosphere!
The home was stocked with everything we needed. Next time we are only packing clothes. The sweet homeowners checked on us during our stay but nothing was needed. Great place we will return!
Another Great Trip to This Lovely Property
We spent another outstanding vacation at this private paradise. Everything was perfect. Only left the property once for a snorkel trip. Already booked again for next year!
We had a great time with family and friends. Nice location. Well equipped with everything you need. The house is in sea turtle nesting area. I was glad to see the owners are conscience of the outside lighting. Enjoyed our stay.
BEAUTIFUL PROPERTY AND AMAZING OCEAN VIEW!!
WOW!!! What can I say about this place, it was the absolute best vacation spot. This was above and beyond what we expected and what the pictures show. Every day was perfect weather which really helped.
We sat outside every morning with coffee and every night with wine. The view was exceptional of the ocean.
We spent a lot of time in the pool and the hot tub. The pool guy stopped by and took care of chemicals and cleaning in the middle of the week. It was all kept up very nice. There were 7 of us staying there, 4 adults and 3 kids. The two older kids had the entire downstairs to themselves, and they were in heaven. The layout of the house ended up working out great for us. We lounged around a lot in the chairs, read books, took pictures and nice strolls on the beach. We had contacted Lisa about an issue with upstairs tub drain and bedroom door. She was quick to respond and was going to address the issues. Neither of these hindered our trip in any way. We look forward to staying there again in the future. We are in love with the town Islamorada.
Best Vacation Ever
Our stay at this Private Beachfront Paradise was absolutely wonderful. We were a group of 3 couples and the house was perfect. The house was clean and fresh when we arrived. Great little guest area downstairs w/ full kitchen, bedroom and bath. The upstairs was beautiful, with great views and a well stocked kitchen. We had more than enough towels for baths and pool. The house was so fabulous that we only went to dinner twice the week we were there. Every day was pool day. Plenty of chairs, pool toys and privacy. Did not get to meet the owner, but spoke to her a couple of times while we were there and she is such a sweet person. The only regret is that the week ended to soon.
Good but not perfect
House is very nicely appointed and right on the ocean. Can't beat the view. Had a great time despite a few negatives. Pool was not vacuumed when we arrived. Called Lisa and was told it would be cleaned that day. Wasn't ! Called Lisa and was told next cleaning would be on Wednesday. Wasn't ! Called again and pool was finally cleaned Thursday. Hot tub was loaded with algae and unable to use. Stereo system was not working and was told that no one was available to fix it until the following week. Was surprised to find there is no interior staircase between first and second floor. Also, there is quite a bit of road noise since home sits right on the main highway. Finally, unable to swim in ocean due to seaweed which is thick and everywhere. In fairness, it is still a great vacation spot and I tend to be overly picky. Highly recommend Lazy Days for dinner. Good food, large drinks and right on the beach. Also loved the two hour jet ski guided tour. Don't go by yourself unless you are very familiar with the waters.
I am very sorry for the pool/spa issue but unfortunately it took a few days to resolve the issue.
The pool/spa is scheduled to be cleaned twice a week. (Saturday & Wednesday)There is an automatic chlorinator that generates the proper amt of chlorination to maintain the cleanliness of the water. What was lacking was brushing and vacuuming. My poolman who lives in the keys and whom I've used for over 15 yrs became seriously ill and was not able to contact me to let me know the situation. I called his cell several times, text him and emailed but no answer.
When my guest contacted me about the pool I responded immediately but no response from the poolman. The pool and spa were cleaned on the Wednesday before the guests checked in. I was notified by my guests that there were some leaves and stuff in the pool. I followed up immediately by calling my poolman who unfortunately never responded. I was in constant contact with my guests and when the poolman did not show up on Wednesday I hired the only pool/spa co in Islamorada to service the pool immediately. They new pool co serviced the pool that Wednesday afternoon. I fired my long term poolman because I was very upset that my guests were dissatisfied and did not want to risk this ever happening again.
The issue of the stereo system was really outside speakers that unfortunately was reconfigured by one of my guests and we cannot figure out what was done. Additionally trying to get local service technicians to service anything is a difficult sometimes.
As far as road noise I have rented this home for over 20 yrs and no one has ever complained about noise.
The house sits on a 22000 sq ft lot and over 100 ft away from the road.
Additionally the house is on one of the few white sugar sand private beaches in the keys. Seaweed does come and go with the weather changes when there is heavy rains, storms or high winds. Unfortunately there is nothing we can do about seaweed.....I do clean the sandy part of my beach
I take customer service very seriously and never discount anyones issues or comments If I can fix the issue I do. including changing service providers to satisfy my customers.
The keys are a very unique and interesting place ....always changing and never boring.
Islamorada is called the fishing capital of the world
to me its the waterpark for the Florida Keys
there are so many activities that can be done in this area swimmig, boating, kayaking, diving, snorkeling windsurfing, water boarding, water sking and of course the best of all just RELAXING.
