About Jonathan Scheirman

We are a family that has fallen in love with Central Oregon and Sunriver! We have been visiting the region for years and decided that the time was right for us to buy our own place. Sunriver has so much to offer for a young and active family like ours that it makes it the perfect place for us enjoy and explore all that Central Oregon has to offer.

Jonathan Scheirman purchased this house in 2014

Why Jonathan Scheirman chose Deer Park

We had looked at several properties in Sunriver and then we found this house. It needed some work, but the layout was just what we were looking for. We wanted a house that was not so big that you would get lost in it and never be able to find any of your family to spend time with them, but one that had ample space and a layout to accommodate different activities. We wanted a home that we could have room to grow into and still be able to have friends and family join us as we vacation. I believe we have found that house, and we hope you feel the same too.

A good sized home that was a good value for the money.

  • 4 of 5

The house was well laid out for an extended family group gathering in Sun River for a wedding. While the house is not upscale, it has everything that you would need, with ample space for a group. Kitchen was well stocked and we were pleased to find things like coffee filters, salt & pepper, saran wrap, etc.in the kitchen. Jonathan was extremely responsive to questions, and even better, returned things that we had forgotten at the home. He was very gracious and easy to work with. The only reason I didn't give the house five stars was that the carpet was somewhat stained, but perhaps the people just before us didn't take good care of it.

Great location and layout

  • 4 of 5

Our extended family met here in July. We had three families in the home and it worked out very well. The kids enjoyed their own space upstairs (especially the foosball table) and we enjoyed sitting on the deck each night for dinner. We were worried it might be very hot in the house since it was in the 90's during our stay, but the previous reviewers were right, it cooled off each night. With the fans running, the windows open in the morning, and the blinds closed during the day, the house didn't get too hot. We did bring two extra fans for the upstairs bunk rooms. The house is right off the bike path, so it was easy to ride to Fort Rock Park and the SHARC. We were also happy to find two stools in the bathrooms that our young daughters could use to reach the sinks.

One downfall was that the house wasn't overly clean. There were crumbs on some of the tables and the floor and we had to wipe tables and counters down when we arrived. We also didn't have any laundry soap and there wasn't enough toilet paper. The bed in the bedroom that is attached to the main bathroom downstairs was not comfortable, but all the others were great.

Overall, we were happy with the house and enjoyed our stay!

Family friendly, awesome location at great value!

  • 4 of 5

Our family enjoyed our stay in Sunriver. This home included adequate SHARC passes and bikes for most all our family. The back deck was great for our evening gatherings. My grandchildren enjoyed learning to play fooseball with their uncles and grandpa. The house was spacious and provided quiet spaces for young ones to take a nap. The kitchen was well supplied.

We made lots of great memories here and hope to come back one day!

Great area. Deck was wonderful for all of us to congregate on and eat and visit, listen to music et

  • 4 of 5

Plenty of room and decks supplied added places to congregate

I would say a solid 4 stars only because for 12 people there were only 8 bath towels provided and BBQ was dirty and full of grease in the bottom. Tried to BBQ first night we were there and it caught on fire because of the greese accumulated in the bottom. That was disappointing. Had to wash off outside tables and furniture ourselves b4 we could use. Other than that the house was big enough and had enough space for all of us in a nice woodsy environment. Air conditioning is a must in the summer months and should be considered as an addition by the home owner. All in all we did have a wonderful, family time.

Cool house but too many rules

  • 4 of 5

The house and area was really nice but there were too many random details and rules and the one I really was wondering about was the check out. And the check out paper was in a bad place, we saw it on our way out. So we almost left without doing some of the check out steps.
