Beautiful 2 bedroom + 2.5 bathroom condo in Playa del Carmen. We are the happy owners of a condo in Cancun (which has great reviews, check property 487294 here at VRBO) and this great condo in fantastic Playa del Carmen.

Here in Playa (as the locals call it) we have the best of 2 worlds within a 5-10 minute walk: outstanding beaches (with fantastic beach clubs) and the famous 5th Avenue, both just 2 blocks away, but at the same time our condo is in a very calm neighborhood in a beautiful new building.

The ocean views from the rooftop pool are stunning, please look at the pictures we have posted. It is an ideal place to spend a lazy afternoon after a very active day, either with family, friends, your special other one or even with a good book and a glass of wine or cup of coffee.

We, as fellow travellers and users of this condo, have taken a lot of care in having equipped the condo with everything that you need. We want you to have a great stress free holiday.

The company that manages our property can offer different options to add to your holiday: private chef (catering services in the privacy and convenience of the condo or the rooftop area); babysitting services; tours & excursions (scheduled tours to different places near Playa del Carmen such as Tulum, Chichen Itza, among others); housekeeping services; laundry services; airport transportation; golf experiences and spa options (a full range of pampering services).

Families are very welcomed at our condo, with children of any age. For adult only groups (no parents in the grouo), due to our building's bylaws we have a 25+ year restriction regarding all-adult groups. This is a nonsmoking property.

Fantastic condo and management company

Great, very clean condo in a great location - the quiet end of Avenida Quinta, a few blocks from the beach. We were so appreciative of our host, Ivan, too who helped us get transport from the airport, take a tour to Akumal/Tulum and answered questions early in the morning and late at night. Thank you for a great stay and we'd highly recommend it!

Disappointed in Studio One

I very rarely post a negative review but our stay at this condo was very disappointing. On the positive side, check-in was relatively easy despite the lateness of our flight. The neighborhood was perfect in terms of quietness, proximity to the beach and to 5th Avenue. The condo itself presented many issues. After 5 minutes of walking around barefoot inside the condo, my feet were black. The furniture was uncomfortable to sit on, including the sofa. The condo was on the 1st floor, with only a very climable wall to separate us from the street traffic. The guest bathroom had very visible mold in the shower, and the hammock on the patio was unusable (moldy and decayed).Very dim lighting throughout. No shade at all in the pool area. We had paid for two weeks but actually left after a week, not wanting to be uncomfortable any further. The following week I messaged the manager to check to see if my medicines were still there, and after saying he would check, he never got back to me. These conditions are unacceptable. Please pardon the lateness of my review but we are still traveling in Mexico.

Audrey, We are sorry that you have that feeling about your stay with us. We cannot agree with many of the things you state. We maintain high standards of cleanliness and always keep the condo up to date regarding the quality of the furniture and equipment. The furniture is top quality, as we furnished the condo to live in it ourselves, this is the 1st time that someone describes it as "uncomfortable to sit on". The lighting is also top quality and with a very modern design, as can be seen in the photos. What is also very strange to us is that you never contacted us to mention anything about your complaints. We have an on-site property manager that is available everyday and you did not mention anything to him either. Finally, you did not leave after 1 week, you stayed 12 nights at the condo, and told our property manager that you were going to spend a couple of days at another resort. Luckily, people can read all the other reviews we have here in VRBO and look at the photos of the condo, so that they can have a more accurate idea of the quality of our property. Modern, clean and comfortable

We had four nights in this modern unit. The manager met us to let us into the building, the carpark and the unit. There is a remote control to let you into the carpark which is situated around the side of the building. The condo is close to 5th Avenue (at one end of 5th Avenida with Portal Maya at the other end). The condo is modern with two bathrooms and an extra toilet. There is a washing machine and drier to use. A full kitchen with oven, microwave, blender and coffee maker. There is plenty of room for a family with bunks in one room and a single, a main bedroom with a queen bed and a fold out sofa in the lounge. We did not sleep on the top bunk as the bunk moved too much. This may be alright for a small child. The living area was spacious and comfortable. The air-conditioning worked well. A maid service came halfway through our stay and cleaned and made the beds. There is an intercom at the entrance of the building. If one of your party or a visitor keys in the condo number, the bell will ring in the condo for someone to answer. You can then go and let your party into the building by pushing the button close to the door. Other than that, we just used the garage access to get into the building. The pool on the rooftop is nice and refreshing. Humbreto was really quick and helpful when communicating with us. This is a great place to stay and we highly recommend it.

Great location, Awesome condo

Studio One Unit 104 was great!! Just as it says....2 blocks from 5th Ave and the beach!! The condo was perfect for my four girlfriends and I for the week! We had plenty of space for all of us! That's right....five women, 2.5 bathrooms! The condo was very neat and clean and provided everything we needed. We walked to 5th Ave every day and enjoyed all the shops and restaurants. The little shop on the corner that's actually in the building was also great for snacks, drinks, and really anything else you might need....toilet paper, laundry detergent, etc! There is a restaurant (forgot the name) at 5th and CTM (46th) that is nice open and has great food! The rooftop pool has an amazing view of the ocean. I wish we would have spent more time up there! The only real downside was that we couldn't really use the beach close to the condo because it smelled awful!! We asked one of the security guards we saw what the smell was and he told us it was the seaweed, but we didn't see any seaweed and it smelled more like raw sewage. On our third day, two of the bathroom sinks stopped draining, so we contacted the management company and they came to fix them right away. One other issue was the extremely noisy construction directly across the street from the condo...like literally across from the patio! That made relaxing during the day or sleeping past 9am very difficult, but I wouldn't let that stop you from renting the condo. On our last day, one of the shades in the living room fell off it's track just by trying to roll it up - hoping that it's an easy fix and I don't get charged for it. We really only rolled the shades up a few times. Overall, this was a great condo and I would definitely rent it again!!

As you know, we are a family of 5, so we totally agree with you regarding how much space the condo offers and the great convenience of having 2.5 bathrooms. We love the location of our condo, and are very happy to hear that your enjoyed it so much. The proximity of shops, restaurants, bars, etc. is great, but the convenience of going back to the condo in a calm neighborhood to “get away from it all” makes for a very balanced holiday. Also, our property manager is always ready to resolve any issue you may have, and, as it was your experience, to do it in a fast way. The beach near the condo is the main beach of Playa del Carmen. The natural movement of the sea sometimes makes it have a bit of seaweed (just as it does not have any for most of the year) from time to time. We have been there many times during different seasons of the year, and, as many of our guests, enjoyed the beach a lot. We hope to have you back with us very soon. Condo très bien situé en toute tranquillité. A deux pas de la 5e avenue et quelques minutes à pied de la plage. La piscine au rooftop est superbe. Sweet Condo and Location

Automated gated underground parking. Elevators to get suitcases to/from condo. Large, clean, beautiful condo. Best place we've ever stayed with VRBO or Homeaway. One block from the main walking street with restaurants and shopping. 2-3 blocks from beach. Flexible property manager. Although you don't need a car with some of the activities you can have in the area, a car gives you the freedom to leave the activities where they force you to purchase items before they will take you to your resort. Tulum, Xplor, Cenotes, Walmart, are quick drives away if you have a car. You can also explore other restaurants off the main drag. Great place to stay. We'd stay here again.

Excellent Location, Clean and Modern Condo!

Thank you Humberto and Lorena for letting us stay in your vacation home. My family and I had an excellent time in Playa, everything about your condo was excellent, from the location to the amenities in your condo (the AC was heaven!). My daughters loved the pool and being able to walk to 5nta Avenida everyday, they had so much fun. We rented a car and the secured underground garage worked perfectly for us, Xcaret and Tulum are surprisingly a short drive, The condo is very spacious and there is a washer/dryer which was extremely helpful, the house keeper was friendly and did an excellent job, the condo has beautiful shiny floors and she left the place looking and smelling fresh and clean. Ivan was helpful and it was very kind of him to accommodate our early check out, I have already recommended this place to my family and friends, and i definitely plan on going back. If you book this place you will not be disappointed! We fell in love with Playa del Carmen.

Great flat in a great area

Humberto´s flat is amazing, it is nice and clean, well maintained, location-wise is great, just a couple of blocks away from the 5th and the beach. Was a really great-stay at his flat. I highly recommend it for families or groups of friends.

A well-kept condo in a great location

Located close to the end of the main shopping street, this condo is close to both the action and the beach but without the congestion further south. The condo itself is spacious and modern with good amenities and underground parking. The rooftop pool is fresh and meticulously cleaned. From the pre-arrival contact to the checkout, the manager Ivan was very attentive and provided great service. The dryer broke during our stay and Ivan managed to get it fixed promptly despite the new year holiday! The only not so good thing was the construction across the street, but as they had their grand opening the day we left, that should no longer be an issue. The sound proofing is not top notch, so if you do not plan to be out until after midnight earplugs could be good against the occasional intoxicated passerby. Our damage deposit was refunded at record breaking speed. A highly recommended accommodation that we would be happy to visit again.

Great location!

My family, including two kids and one baby, stayed in this apartment for about 11 days. The only thing that was negative about this apartment was noise from construction of the building right over the street from the balcony. But I guess in some weeks they will finish with construction of that building. Noise from construction was also an issue on the roof. Since PDC is experiencing a construction boom nowadays, this is something that is difficult to avoid, maybe especially in this part of the town. Everything else about the apartment was perfect. It was clean, modern, fully equipped and the host (Ivan from Happy Adress) was very helpful and quick to respond. They cleaned the apartment every three days or so. The location, between 5th avenue and the beach is great. The beach (Coco Beach i think..) is also not so crowded as Mamitas Beach is.

Great location! Close to everything

My husband & I & our 3 daughters stayed at Studio one from July 31st-August 9th and we had a great stay! Humberto the owner was so helpful and so easy to deal with, Oscar the property manager was very nice and responsive as well. The condo was really nice, clean, and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. The rooftop pool was our favorite, My girls loved it so much they didn't want to leave! Location is close to everything, a few blocks from the beach, 5th ave., and a bunch of really good restaurants and delicious local spots. There's even a little store in front of studio one where you can get drinks, snacks etc... we rented a car during our stay so having an underground gated parking garage was very convenient. I have been renting through home away for over 10 years now, and this has definitely been one of my all time favorite places, I would highly recommend it to anyone and we can not wait to go back. Great place and neighborhood!

My family of 5 (3 boys - 13yrs, 8yrs, 2yrs) visited Playa del Carmen from July 15 - July 22. The place is exactly like the pictures and we loooved the pool! We had issues with the living room blind, but it got fixed a couple of days later. As far as the neighborhood, it's a great location, very close to 5 Avenida. The only downside is that there's a lot of construction around and noise starts relatively early. We used the coolers and beach umbrella provided and that helped a lot! Great little convenience store in the building for any last minute needs. Overall, great experience and great place!

Great location, beautiful, clean and safe jast as in the pictures and summary

My girlfriend and I had an amazing time at Studio One. Just as advertised, the condo is two blocks from 5th Ave and two blocks from the beach. We found several amazing restaurants within a short walking distance from the condo as well. Many of the beaches in playa are very busy and have a party vibe. They were fun but we were there to relax. We took the liberty of exploring some of the less popular beaches by renting beach cruiser bikes which I highly recommend. Our personal conscierge Oscar was fantastic! He arranged a driver to take us to Tulum for a day and that was the highlight of the trip. We also took the ferry over to Cozumel which we had both visited several times. I would highly recommend Studio One and advise anyone visiting to get out and explore the surrounding area. Great condo

The condo is exactly what the pictures show. Plenty of room, it is a short walk to the beach and to 5th Av. The umbrella that was in the condo came in handy for our days at the beach. Construction is going on around the condo, a little noisy from sun up to sun down. It looks to be finished soon. All my emails were promptly answered by Humberto and our conseirge Oscar. Oscar was great, he set up our transportation and an excursion for us. Would highly recommend this condo.

Beautiful condo, great for families, perfect location!

We found this condo to be very modern, clean, and with all the amenities we needed. Our boys had their own sleeping area on the opposite side of the master, which made things very nice. The beach and 5th avenue were close and we walked around often. We also had a car and parked in the secure underground garage. Driving allowed us to visit many of the popular places, which were beautiful. This was the perfect condo for our family, and this vacation was fantastic!

Great Trip

Oscar, the concierge, was very helpful. Anything we needed he was there. I was always able to contact him and was available. Great place for a family. We were a family of 4, my husband, 13yr old, 9 yr old and myself. Awesome location. Close to the beach and 5th avenue. The area is under development, condos are being built surrounding the building. The only down fall was the construction noise since it was right outside our window. They work from Sun - Sun, therefore there was not a day that they didn't work. 5 out of the 7 days we were awake at 7 am. so we woke up before they started to use their power tools at 8 am. This was not a deal breaker for us. Overall we would definitely stay again.

Condo and building is beautiful

Condo was in perfect condition, the unit look exactly as it did on the pictures. Location is great, the staff was superb.

Clean, comfortable, convenient

Had a good three days in this condo with myself and two teenage kids. The roof top pool was lovely with a good view of the ocean. The condo was closer to downtown Playa than I thought, which was great. Only one block to the north end of Quinta and an easy 15-20 min walk to the south end. I would definitely stay again and the condo could easily accommodate 2-3 more people.

We agree with the convenience of our location, close to everything that the downtown area can offer and to the beach, but in not always in the middle of everything. The best of 2 worlds, in our opinion. Also, as you mentioned, the condo is big enough to accommodate large families with comfort. We hope to have you back with us in the near future!

Stayed Feb 18 - March 4, 2017

Lovely condo, just as pictured, spacious and airy for 4 people. Both bedrooms with ensuites on opposite sides of the condo. Having the washer and dryer was so convenient, 2 blocks from the quieter end of the beach in PDC. Rooftop infinity pool with brilliant view of ocean, observing the other rooftop pools, ours was the largest pool. The only suggestion would be placing a full length mirror in the entrance way as chicas do like to look at themselves before a night out. New condo construction directly in front and kitty corner, but wasn't really a problem, they start at 8 a.m. Maid service, when needed. Well equipped kitchen. Israel, our condo contact, was very pleasant and willing to help book trips, recommend restaurants etc. Would definitely stay again. Cheers from Vancouver, Bill and Paula

Very accommodating.

We enjoyed the condo, had everything you need with one exception. I suggest adding a couple of beach chairs easy to carry to the beach.
