Sunset Group has decided to open a Beach Club in Fishermen´s Village for the general public, with prior reservation, from Monday to Sunday and from 11:00 to 18:00 hrs. at a costo of $ 750.00 Mexican Pesos adults and $ 300.00 Mexican Pesos under 13 years old or the all inclusive plan for day at the cost of $ 75.00 u.s.d. for adults and $ 35.00 u.s.d. under 13 years old. Saturday and Sundays with live music at the Pool Bar from 14:00 until 17:00 hrs.
They will continue to offer live music for guests and Home Owners on Mondays and Thursdays at the Lobby Area from 20:00 until 22:00 hrs.

Great location and experience.

We’ve stayed multiple times at Elena’s place and loved it. Great view from the unit, great site with pool, swim up bar, onsite activities, steps away from the beach and 15 minute walk to downtown Playa. Great place to stay!!

Great location!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Absolutely loved sitting on the terrace with coffee in the morning and cocktails in the afternoon! Perfect location- access to shopping and access to ferry to Cozumel. Staff were super friendly and helpful.

This was the best, most relaxing vacation we have ever had. The condo was perfect and the view from the balcony was priceless! The pools, hot tub, and beach were amazing and so close and convenient. It was literally the perfect spot in Playa to recharge, unplug, and relax!

The resort was smaller and quiet with ample amenities and an optional all inclusive plan if that’s your thing. We like to go out and 5th Ave was a short cab ride or walkable. The deck provided wonderful views as well. Would definitely rent again.

Had a great time!

Everyone at the resort was helpful and friendly and the view from our condo was great! I worried if we'd be treated differently because we had a condo vs. a stayer with an all-inclusive package, but there was no differentiation. We enjoyed all the activities the resort had to offer and loved the Daniela and the activity team! We felt very safe here and enjoyed going into town in the evenings for dinner.

Elena’s place was amazing! It has the best balcony at this small boutique resort. It is clean, bright, and have everything you need! The owner/property manager was very easy to communicate with as well. I would recommend her place to all of my people.! Playa has the best beach hands down.

Spectacular view

We are members, and have been going to the fisherman for over 20 years. We really enjoyed our stay. The view from the condo balcony is spectacular and is one of the best in Playa del Carmen. Elena was very responsive to our needs and answered all of our questions. The Fisherman has one of the nicest beaches of any of the resorts in Playa Del Carmen, especially because of its size. Only about 60 rooms total. The staff at the Fisherman‘s are very helpful and many have become good friends, It’s like coming home. We love the location because it’s close enough to the ocean that you can hear the waves from your room and walk into town for many of the restaurants.

This is an amazing condo. Everything looks great and we are hoping to get an opportunity to go again next year to the same place. Great spot in a lovely resort

I rented four units at Sunset Fishermen for me and my extended family over the Christmas holiday. My brother and his wife and two teens stayed here and it was everything I’d hoped for. Lupita was very responsive and helpful, especially in securing groceries for our arrival on Christmas Day. The resort itself was lovely. The only hiccup was check in at the front desk, where I felt the staff were not as service-oriented as the property owners themselves. We felt a bit unwelcome upon our arrival. But the rest of the staff, especially the entertainment staff Adrian and Daniela, made every effort to keep us engaged without being overwhelming. All-in-all a great trip and all the property owners/managers were wonderful.

Beautiful oceanfront condo

This a very spacious oceanfront condo. The condo is furnished nicely & the beds were very comfortable. We plan on renting it again next year. A little frustration with the TV not working in the upstairs bedroom. The AC in the living room went out the 2nd day. It took a day for service to come, a part was needed but never came before we left. There were separate AC units in the bedrooms so we were able to sleep ok. The condo is on the 3rd floor with steps going up to the main bedroom. So lots of steps & no elevator.

Clean, Cool and Comfortable with a View

My mil and I enjoyed our stay in Elena's place. Upon arrival, we noticed how very clean and cool the condo was. The recent addition of mini-split air conditioners did not go unappreciated. Perfect! With one in each bedroom and in the living area, we were always comfortable. The bedrooms: Beds were comfortable and linens were clean and of good quality with a variety of bed pillows to choose from. We both enjoyed retiring early each evening with our books, because the beds were so comfortable. Looking through drawers & cabinets we found a sand pail and shovel, some pool toys, maps, paperback books. Bonus, thoughtful extras! The kitchen: Everything we needed, plus bottled water for our use. The bathrooms: Soaps, shampoo/conditioner, lotion provided. I contacted the property manager one time during our stay, and her response was immediate. From previous rental experience, I was appreciative of this quick, easy communication. I have stayed in 4 different condos at Fishermen's and the views from Elena's building can't be beat. Each visit, we appreciate the attentive staff, the cleanliness of the resort and the tranquility of the on-site spa. We were unsure what the condition might be so soon after Beryl, but the resort was in excellent shape, I'm sure because of the wonderful staff they have on hand. It is always a pleasure to find exactly what we expect or better and that is how we both felt about arriving and departing Elena's. We look forward to our next stay!

Great Spot, Great Place, Great Service

We really had an excellent time with our two young kids at this condo and the resort in general. The view and the pool/beach access is exactly as advertised. The pools have a lot of variety, allowing both our toddler and our infant a lot of options for playing. Towel service for the beach and pool was absolutely key. Everyone was very friendly, learned our names and introduced themselves. Breakfast buffet in La Terrazza, the nicer restaurant ($10 US per person, kids free) was a great start to every morning, with a bunch of fruit, local specialties, omelets to order, pastries, juice, and my son really loved that he could have hot chocolate for breakfast every morning. Lunch was pork tacos at the beach restaurant every day until our last day, when they randomly changed the menu. NOOOO! Still, everything was great. We weren't into fancy French food for dinner and we didn't really want to cook, but we found Playita Express deliver for the nights we didn't walk into town. They deliver from a ton of restaurants, communicate over WhatsApp. English is good, and the delivery fee of 80 pesos was reasonable. We loved Po Thai and Don Sirloin. Wifi was fast and reliable the whole time. Walk into town was easy and safe, taking you past Mayan ruins and . It was a little jarring to go from the peace of Fisherman's/Playacar, with agoutis (like big, tailless squirrels) running around, into the scrum of PdC with the hawkers and bustle, but we got used to it. The beach was pleasant. They removed whatever seaweed blew in overnight. The views were perfect, but we spent most of our time in the pool. Overall, a great stay. Would come back!

Great resort, Condo needed repairs.

The Fishermans Village Resort is wonderful. This particular condo needed several repairs while we were there. The property manager was quick to respond, and maintenance people very nice, but we didn't expect to have maintenance staff in condo frequently due to the multiple issues. Some major issues, like when we used the upstairs shower, water ran in the closet below. 2 days of repairs. After rain overnight, we woke to a large puddle in upstairs bathroom &some wet belongings. The NEW roof leaked into a couple of Condos. Not the fault of owner or manager...still more time spent with Maintenance guys in unit. Upstairs bathroom drain wouldn't open, so sink was unusable until Maintenance came again and removed drain, and returned days later to install new drain. Upstairs bathroom light blinked constantly, we thought it needed a new bulb, but entire fixture was removed, and new one installed the next day. 2 more Maintenance visits. I don't blame the owner or property manager, but some of the issues clearly existed before we arrived, we didn't want our deposit to be withheld if we didn't report problems (some of them were major issues) But it really impacted our use of the condo to have men showing up to make repairs at anytime of day. Upstairs bath had people working there almost every day. Downstairs bath ceiling has the access to plumbing, so at times neither baths or bedrooms were available for use for hours. Not much privacy. Also, the door lock is tricky.

Location Location Location

One could not ask for a better location. Im sure we had the best view in the whole complex by a long shot. The property was clean and had all the things we needed in the kitchen. The beds and couch were comfortable, and the showers had great water pressure, including instant hot water (which you dont always get in Mexico.) All 3 AC units worked well, but we would have appreciated ceiling fans in the bedrooms to keep the air moving at night, as we dont like to run the AC all night. For some reason the upstairs windows are screwed shut?? We would have loved to have been able to open the windows, hear the ocean waves and have the air flow through - as the upstairs got quite hot and stuffy unless running the AC constantly. This condo could use a few upgrades for sure, but the reduced rates reflect this. So, if you are looking to save a few pesos and have a million dollar view, then this property is for you!!! My only other feedback for simple improvements would be to replace that kitchen table. With those pokey feet it does make for increased toe stubbings. Also, supplying some outdoor cushions for the chairs on the balcony would provide more comfortable seating as we spent a lot of time on the balcony, morning, noon and night. Just a few simple fixes that would would go a long way. The neighborhood was quiet and we felt very safe. Its just a short 15 min walk to 5th, yet far enough away to be out of the hustle and bustle. The hotel staff were lovely and we were treated with kindness and respect. Very reasonable prices at the pool bar and restaurant, with a different cuisine to choose from every night. As a guest, we were able to enjoy all the amenties offered in the resort at no extra cost. Taxis were always arranged with set prices, so we didnt need to worry about that. Access to the Hard Rock Golf Resort was quick and easy. We would definatley stay here again.

We are already talking about coming back. This room is the best location at fishermen sunset. Best room for coffee on the balcony , best view. We have 3 kids ages 5,7 and 9. Girls slept in bed and we brought a sleeping bag for our son who slept on couch. 100 percent recommend.

This property is amazing! Check in is simple, the view is incredible and the space is perfect. Plenty of room for us to spread out, the kitchen had everything we needed and more. Great location and beautiful beach

It’s a nice place with a beautiful blues ocean view from both floors. It has everything you need to enjoy your vacation. You can have your morning coffee from your balcony .Also a plus is the location, you can actually walk Day or night from them to the restaurants and shops in Playa Del Carmen, it’s a very safe place/area. Our daughters are 10 year old and a teen daughter , they both enjoyed as much as we did. You have access to the pool and Jacuzzi. The reservation process , checking and stay was just easy and pleasant. A great experience.

Best Two-Bedroom Condo at Fishermen's Village!

We have stayed in several condos at Fishermen's Village, and this by far is the best unit we have stayed in. It was clean, has a fully stocked kitchen with everything you need, and the plumbing is excellent! We will be back!

Mexican Paradise

This was our 5th stay at Sunset Fisherman's Village in Playa del Carmen. The 2 bedroom, 2.5 bathroom condo was perfect for 4 adults. We enjoyed watching the sunrise from the large balcony was overlooking the sand and surf. It was fun to watch and count the cruise ships coming into port across the water. We of course would walk or take a taxi into town each night to go to our favorite restaurants and even try new ones. The Mexican weather in February is delightful; warm but not too hot in the day and cool nights. The four of us decided that we would definitely stay in this condo again!

We Will Be Back

This is the second time that we have stayed in Elena's Playacar condo at Fisherman's Village. Both times have been great. The unit was well maintained and the property manager responded quickly to a small issue that we had. The staff at Fisherman's Village was friendly, courteous and attentive to the guests. Most spoke English. The facility was very clean and well maintained. Sea grass was removed early each day. The resort offered demonstrations each day and they were well done. We fixed dinner in the condo or went into town, but during past trips, the restaurant had good food and service. We will be back.

Great vacation-great location!

My husband and I and our daughter and her fiancé rented this unit in January 2020. This condo was very clean, has several kitchen appliances, nice bedding and linens, and the best view in the resort. The balcony included 5 chairs a couple of side tables plus a lounger. We had it cleaned once during our stay and the cleaning lady did an excellent job. The key box took a moment to figure out but once we did it a few times, it was easy. We drink a lot of water so the water cooler was very much appreciated and it was easy to order more bottles at the front desk. We definitely would rent from this owner again. Thank you Elena for a wonderful stay!

This was the first foreign property I bought after living in Mexico for 4 years. I bought it while they were still building the hotel. I liked the place and the view to the ocean from my future balcony. It is a duplex with an entrance on the second floor

What makes this property unique

I like to watch the sunset from my balcony over the ocean: the sky changes quickly in the tropics, depending on the weather the clouds can go from pink to lilac to light blue or become yellow and red. They are different every day. And the water on a sunny day is amazingly turquoise.
