Quiet, peaceful, comfortable and gorgeous views.
We are a group of 6 women who bicycle all over the Northwest. We stayed at this lovely home for 3 nights. We felt blessed to be able to stay in such a beautiful home in this gorgeous neighborhood. The home was just minutes away from dining and shopping, and yet, we felt like we were way out in the country because it was right on a beautiful lake and it was so peaceful there. The owner had kayaks, a row boat, a paddle boat, and paddle boards there for us to use if we wanted to use them. A couple of us took the kayaks out one evening, and kayaked around the lake. It was great!
The house was well stocked, the beds were super comfortable, and we had more than enough room for all of us. We also had access to the hot tub, which was wonderful to soak in after biking all day.
There was a huge deck that overlooked the lake, and it was decorated with so many gorgeous flowers. It was so nice to sit out on the deck every morning to have our morning coffee and plan our bike rides for the day.
The owner was a very nice guy and very accommodating and helpful.
We, highly, recommend this place.
Thanks Jan for the great review. Your group was a sincere pleasure to host. If you're ever back in the area for a biking adventure (or any adventure), we'd be delighted to have you here again.
Outstanding view from almost every room - the nicest owner on site and the most comfortable beds!
The views from this home are exceptional from almost every room - you don't mind cooking or doing dishes when looking out at the lake with eagles, osprey and swans flying about! Michael the owner is the nicest human who helped with everything we needed for our stay to be comfortable. The beds are pillow top heaven! There are all kinds of boats to use on the lake and fabulous fishing from the dock. We were there for our daughter's college graduation and we didn't want to leave. The home was spotless and the kitchen is stocked for anything you want including baking! There's nice walking near the home and it's silent as can be at night for incredible sleeping. One almost never goes on a trip and sleeps well enough to feel rested but we all slept great.
Thanks so much for your kind words. Hosting your family's event was a genuine pleasure. I'm delighted in the extreme that you enjoyed your stay so much. Your family were ideal guests and if you're ever in the area again, you are more than welcome here. All the best.
It was great and we had a blast
This is a great house in a beautiful setting and a wonderful location. Major shopping areas are quite close although you would never know it while at the house. We were a party of six adults and the house was perfect. We all enjoy cooking and since it was the holiday season we did plenty of it in the large and well-equipped kitchen. The hot tub overlooking the lake was used a lot by our group and enjoyed more often than daily. The weather was a bit too cool to enjoy paddling around the lake but boats were available.
Mike is a responsive and convivial host. He was there when we needed him but never intruded on our time. This is definitely one to keep on the favorites list.
Thanks so much for your kind words. Our goal is to delight our guests. Should it ever make sense for you, we would very much love to host your group again. All the best.
Beautiful Home with a view - Loved It!
The pictures don't do it justice. This is a beautiful home with all the amenities you could want with a view that can't be beat. We didn't have time to use the dock or go fishing, but we may if we can make it back this way. We stayed for a long weekend and it was perfect for visiting Seattle, Mount Rainier, Olympic Park Rain Forest and Mount St. Helens. Very centrally located. A quick drive to Tacoma for some water front dining is also good from this location. The beds were very comfortable and bringing in the luggage was easy. There is a lot to do in the area as well that we didn't get a chance to appreciate with all of our running around. We would like to go back again for a longer period of time to really enjoy what this location has to offer.
Thanks so much for your kind comments. It was great hosting your family and it would be fantastic to see you again if you're planning a trip to the Pacific Northwest in the future. All the best.
A comfortable home with a gorgeous view!
We had a girl's trip and stayed at this location and had the best time ever! The layout of the house was fantastic! We enjoyed amazing views from almost every room, fun lake toys, and a relaxing hot tub! The property owner was so friendly, accommodating, and so helpful! We will definitely be back!
Thanks so much Heather for choosing our little piece of paradise for you girl's weekend. Hosting your group was a delight and I very much look forward to having you all back next year.
Something for everyone!
What a great place for a family reunion. Four of us stayed at this fabulous home for 4 nights, while 8 others stayed either in a nearby hotel or at our niece's home in Olympia.
Mornings began with our son taking his son (21 month old) down to the swing set and playhouse and then out to the dock to kayak. Construction of a new breakwater was going on at a house across the narrows. Great fun for them to watch the daily progress up close but out of harms way.
Other family members came and went throughout the day - lunch followed by fun on or near the lake: some in a paddle boat, others in kayaks, one on a paddle board, and others sat and chatted while watching the activities from the deck. All were rewarded with fresh blackberries picked from the dockside bushes. Delicious!
Our ages ranged from 12 months to 73 years - three generations spending time together. Something for everyone - even the 12 month old had a two hour nap in the pack 'n play.
Mike was great and so helpful in showing us around the house. When I later asked about towels for use on the dock, he soon appeared with half a dozen!
When we had the exit "walk thru", Mike asked where was the telescope - we smiled and said in the bedroom still in one piece. We had removed it from the family room within the first 10 minutes of being there. He smiled and totally understood - a toddler had been living in his house that week!
If our children remain on the west coast, we will definitely be back for another reunion at this wonderful Lacey Lake House - where there is something for everyone.
Thanks Gretchen for the kind words. Hosting your family was a great pleasure. I'm so happy you all enjoyed being here and are actually considering a return trip! And if I'm ever planning a trip to Maine, I'll definitely keep your place on Mt Desert Island in mind vrbo.com/512024. Have a great summer!
The Olympia area is well situated for access to just about any natural setting. Within a couple hours drive there is Pacific ocean beaches, the Cascade mountain range and Mt. Ranier, Puget sound and many rivers and lakes. There are plenty of opportunities for outdoor activities and the Seattle metro area is about an hour away.
