Peace and Tranquility

  • 5 of 5

Being at Carter’s cottage is like being on the water, surrounded by the sounds of the sea was such a delight. The peace and quiet was much appreciated. It is central to many of the fun things one can do in Wakulla County: hiking, biking, fishing, boating, eagle watching, gator watching and birds of every type. We stayed for a month and each day brought new wonders and surprises. Love the decks and the huge porches with no bad views. We have already discussed a return visit. I do highly recommend this as a great place to stay and one of the best areas to visit for the wildlife. The house is very well laid out and is well prepared for you to move right in.

Excellent Vacation Home.

We really enjoyed our stay. Andrea was extremely easy to deal with and the house was outstanding!! Hurricane Hermine caused an early departure and Andrea was very helpful and informative with her advice on the storm. Thanks again Andrea!!! The house is perfectly located and the view is top notch. The sunrise over Saint Marks is breathtaking. While the photos in the ad are beautiful, they still don't do justice to taking it all in at once. Two thumbs up (just because two are all I have) LOL.

Kayakers dream

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at Andreas' home in mid October, hoping to cash in on the cooler water temps and bigger fish avail just a short paddle from the house. The area is very peaceful and the house is a great place to stay and relax or fish. Even at extreme low tide the access is good to paddle out to fish the Shellpoint/Live Oak island areas. The house was clean and well stocked for our stay, it has a huge screened in porch and plenty of room of a family or group of fishermen to use as a base camp for fishing trips or just relaxing. It is very close to good dining in Crawfordville and beyond. We plan on staying here for future trips to the area next spring.
