About Trudy Clark
We are full time Ocracoke Island Residents for 20 years. Fell in love with the island in the mid 70's and ended up here running our own business and as it seems collecting historic buildings and trying to save their character and charm to go with the vibe of the island.
Trudy Clark purchased this Cottage in 2014
Why Trudy Clark chose Ocracoke
This small summer cottage was the sister property to our old Ocracoke home and there it sat out our backdoor for 10 plus years with no one to care for and protect its uniqueness. So, we took it into our family compound and wow what a challenge. Now it has been completely restored following the National Register Standards and is a valuable example of the mid-century architectural stlye found here on Ocracoke in the early 50's.
What makes this Cottage unique
This small cottage on a large lot sits just across the marsh with an exspansive view of the Ocracoke Lighthouse.

A slice of heaven!
This is a perfect Ocracoke spot. Nestled amongst live oaks with The Lighthouse out the back door! The house is well appointed, beautifully decorated and a pleasure to stay in. You can't make a mistake with choosing this cottage.
Ocracoke Island is part of the Cape Hatteras National Seashore. It is a beautiful and peaceful refuge for the public and wildlife with 15 miles of undisturbed land on the Atlantic Ocean side and the shallow waters of the Pamlico Sound on the back side of the island.
