I am a local small business owner and an active member of the Grand Rapids, MN community. I am also a father and family man that looks forward to serving you at our fine resort on the majestic Pokegama Lake. I would also like to introduce to you another member of our management team, JamieLee Grieger. JamieLee is an experienced resort manager and takes pride in everything she does.
Why Jamielee chose Harris Township
This property has the nicest sugar sand beach that Pokegama Lake has to offer. We are also close to the Pokegama Lake Golf Course and many other area attractions. Pokegama lake is known as one of the premier vacation, recreational, and great fishing lakes in northern Minnesota. Bring your boat and tie it up to one of our docks or bring your snowmobiles to ride the many miles of groomed trails. We are also nestled in the middle of a residential area so you will also enjoy quiet vacationing.

Awesome View of Lake & Great Owners
We had a large group of all guys going up along with 5 boats. They had plenty of room for vehicles and boat trailers along with plenty of dock space and beach to play on. The view from the property is incredible. Pictures don't do the place justice. We had all three cabins and fit all 18 of us easily. The 2 separate cabins are cozy but the main lodge basement had plenty of room for all of us to eat and hang out. Zorbaz was right down the lake and golf course right across the lake which made it very easy to get to by boat. The owners were at the lodge when we were there and they were very nice and easy to get along with. Definitely a place that I would recommend and hopefully be back sometime!
First the positives---the property is beautiful. Set on the lake with a sandy beach and sandy lake bottom (not full of weeds). Plenty of options for outdoor fun with floaties, a raft, paddle boats, a pontoon for rent, fire pit. Absolutely LOVED it! The downside--I planned this trip for my extended family and told them to check out this site and told them all about the accommodations which turned out to be completely inaccurate. Most of us stayed in the lower level lodge and there are no true king beds. There was one room with 2 twins pushed together and a king sheet set on it. Two rooms had 2 twin beds and the fourth room had 3 twin beds. ???? My sister and her family were booked for the #3 cabin and somehow ended up in the #2 cabin. Again, not the bed situation they planned on. We would've been fine with all of this if we had known ahead of time. You travel for hours with a weeks worth of stuff and are kind of stuck with the situation once you get there. Also, my sister's cabin had no silverware. Luckily, ours had 2 sets of silverware so we gave them one. We also shared a room in the lodge so they could fit everyone. There were plenty of dishes to use, but there was one trash bag, one extra blanket for the 4 bedrooms, and no extra linens. Also, it was very humid the first night we were there and it says there is air conditioning, but it did not work. Also, I was told the pontoon was $225 for the day. It IS $225 Monday - Thursday plus a $50 boat lift charge (???) and it's $350 in total on the weekends. Again, no mention of this until we got there. The owners were very kind people and I think they are new to this, but I think if they want repeat business they should be more clear on their site.
My family and I had a wonderful stay at Pokegama Lake! We stayed in the lower lodge and it was more than enough room for the 6 of us. The unit was very clean, was stocked with tons of kitchenware, and had very comfortable beds. The view of the lake from the unit is amazing and the beach is really great. Only small complaint would be the high cost of the pet fee ($50 per night). But we would definitely stay here again, hopefully next summer!
