The historic McGrath House was built in 1910 and and has been completely restored in 2015 including a newly remodeled kitchen and bathrooms, a restored firepit and a new flagstone patio in the back yard. The house has 4 bedrooms including a master bedroom on the ground floor with king bed and master bath, 3 bedrooms upstairs share a bathroom. Bedroom #2 has a king bed, Bedroom #3 is accessed through Bedroom #2 and has a full size bed and single bed. Bedroom #4 has a queen bed and single bed. A covered side porch is available for sitting outside in the shade. A large flagstone patio with masonry sitting walls is located at the back of the house. The backyard includes a firepit with sitting walls. Nearby attractions include Pies and Pints Restaurant and the day spa and Cool Beanz coffee shop across the street. Other restaurants and pubs within 2 to 4 blocks are Gumbo's, Vandal's Kitchen, Charlies Pub, Secret Sandwich Society and The Station. Guests at the McGrath House have access to the 192 acre Cascade Resort Property across the street including a tennis court and hiking trails. Guests can also walk to bike shops, antique shops, Hardrock Climbing School, Waterstone Outdoors and other nearby unique shops in downtown Fayetteville. No other property in the New River Gorge area offers this combination of luxury living, convenience to the New River Gorge National Park and downtown Fayetteville attractions and access to the Cascade Resort Property.

About Bill Wells

Bill and Sally Wells are the owners of the The Ramsey Mountain Lodge, Sugar Creek Chalet and the McGrath House and live nearby in Fayetteville. Sally grew up in town and Bill is a native of Upper St. Clair, PA. The Ramsey Mountain Lodge was Sally's homeplace. It was remodeled into a vacation rental that opened in May 2013. The adjoining neighbor’s house (Sugar Creek Chalet) came on the market in December 2013 and the Wells purchased the house for a vacation rental that was opened in May 2014. The McGrath house was purchased in January 2015 and will open in July 2015.

The house was beautiful on the inside and out, the pictures don't do it justice. It contained every amenity we could have possibly needed. Plenty of room. Nice, comfortable beds and couches. SO convenient. It was PERFECT!

Large, clean house in a very convenient location.

My family and I rented the house to stay at while in town for a family reunion. Our first impression is how clean the house was, second was how spacious. The fiirepit and patio were icing on the cake and really enjoyed while family came to visit after the reunion.

Great Home Great Location

There was 6 of us traveling by motorcycle. Staying at the McGrath House worked out great for us. The home has plenty of space with comfortable beds and clean bathrooms. The description in the listing is very accurate. There was ample parking for all of our motorcycles and a van. Unfortunately it rained quite a bit while we were there but having the covered porch was a godsend. We gathered there everyday and having Pies & Pints restaurant across the street gave us an easy avenue for a couple meals. We were hoping to enjoy the fire pit and back porch for cookouts but again rain didn't allow us but the areas looked very nice with a big table & chairs and nice grill. The owners were vey accommodating and quick to respond when questions were asked.

We would most definitely recommend staying in this home!!

Great place to stay! Large, newly refurbished, and nice owners

This house is the perfect location. It is right next to Pies and Pints, and it has enough beds for a large crowd. The fire pit in the back is nice and there is a grill. The owners are very nice, they communicate well, and want to make sure you have everything you need. They put a lot of work into this house and it really shows.

Great home base

Spent a long weekend at the New River Gorge with 6 friends and the house was perfect. Big backyard for yard games, nice fire pit for hanging out, and directly across from Pies and Pints. The house is clean and convenient to everything.
