Another great winter stay!

This unit is a perfect budget-friendly well-located condo in centro Playa. Five minute walk to the beach and five minute walk to the Mega or Aki for groceries, wine and beer! The property is kept super clean and the gated small 21 unit complex very secure. It is comfortable and well equipped. This is not a fancy new condo with an elevator and granite counters, but a good sized Mexican style apartment with a breezy rooftop deck with BBQ that we loved to spend time in the late afternoon and stargazing at night. There is also a large covered patio off the bedrooms overlooking the bustling street corner. Fun to people watch. We slept with our windows open to enjoy the cool breezes at night, but If you are bothered by street noise, the windows and doors are very heavy and block out the sound well. And the AC units will keep you cool. The pool is well maintained and perfect temperature for a refreshing dip.

Perfect location for a relaxing vacation

We stayed here for 9 nights in February. The property was basically as described but I would say that it is more of 1 and a half baths as the second bathroom has only a toilet and small shower. There are some cleaning products stored in the second bathroom whose smell can be overwhelming if the door isn't left open. There was plenty of storage space in both the week airconditioned bedrooms and the covered terrace accessed from the bedrooms was a delight. Many an evening was spent relaxing on the terrace. The kitchen was well stocked for our needs though breakfast was the only meal consumed at the condo. The living room was as pictured and the couches were comfortable enough to fall asleep on. While we didn't use the grill on the rooftop patio time was spent relaxing on the loungers in the sun. The complex had a nice Mexican feel to it and a security gate at the entrance. The pool was perfect for spending an afternoon escaping the heat and everyone we met seemed friendly. The location of the condo is perfect for heading out to restaurants and nightly entertainment. Overall this condo was a great place to stay at a reasonable price.

Great location, apt could use some TLC

Location is what it's all about with this apartment. Easy walking distance to the beach, shopping and restaurants. Roof deck and charcoal grill were great, clothes washer came in handy, and on-site parking is OK. The apartment itself could use some TLC; it was a little dated and worn and smelled musty, the sheets and towels didn't seem really clean; wifi was good but no computer as in the description. Kitchen was fully stocked but dishes weren't clean in the cabinets; interestingly, the maid was still cleaning when we checked in at 5:45 pm. The 2nd bathroom was the smallest I've ever seen and doesn't have a sink, only tiny shower and toilet. Pictures are accurate except the lounge chairs are broken. There is a good amount of street noise during the day but it quiets down later at night.

Best 2 Bedroom Value in Playa

If you're looking for location location location and have better things to do with your money than waste it on overpriced lodging, this Mexican style penthouse is the place to be. Our family of 4 had a great time, lots of room, and more features than we bargained for. What you get: 2 br 1.5 ba, everything works, great little pool, cable, fast internet, clothes washer, fantastic private rooftop with BBQ and clotheslines, incredible people watching deck overlooking 15th Avenue and everything you need shopping wise and the beach within 3 blocks. Our hosts All and Gilberto were also quite cordial, as were neighbors Judy and Norbert. We did not want to leave after one week. Only downsides: no ocean view, the need to close windows at night to stop street noise (AC and fans do eliminate noise) and small bedroom's mattress a bit stiff. One of the best bargains in MX and Playa offers everything, and we've been everywhere in Mexico.
