AMAZING! This property is so incredible. We were working for a local college putting in an ambulance simulator and chose this home for our home base. If I could give it 10 stars I would. The property is an oasis that is so tranquil and relaxing. The amenities are spot on and the views incredible. My entire family was sad to leave this beautiful home.
The bedrooms are beautiful with high end furnishings and linens. The bathrooms, oh my, are better than some spas I've visited. The kitchen has every appliance known to man and plenty of dishes, spices, pots, etc.
The grounds of this home is what made it so relaxing to us. The hammock was a very nice place to be. The hot tub was fantastic. The trees, flowers, etc are beautiful. I just can't say enough about the care this home receives on a regular basis.
If you choose to rent this home, you will not be disappointed. It's absolutely a dream home. I am already making plans to visit again soon.
The managing company was easy to work with and very responsive to questions. Everything from reservation to check out was handled professionally.
My fiancee & I stayed recently for a most enjoyable, kick-back week. Wow! Amazing home with all the amenities: great kitchen, quiet/relaxing backyard with outdoor fireplace, views of the ocean, hot tub and free use of bicycles. Owners Jon & Karen take great care that the guest experience is first rate. The home won architectural design awards and is furnished in mid-century/mid-modern style with great attention to detail - high-speed wifi, Sonos music, and very quiet neighborhood. Two very large master bedroom suites. Oceanside is a beach town that has multiple craft brew pubs and restaurants. Great beaches and harbor area. We'll definitely be back.
The 7 Palms House
We had a great stay for four nights at 1030 Shafer. The house is so unique and totally cool inside and out that we were never in a hurry to go anywhere. The design, lighting options and high tech electronics make it very special. We spent at least part of every night in the backyard with the fireplace and the Sonos sound system. The house is the most well equipped rental home we have ever seen. Everything was totally topnotch, not "rental quality." Oceanside has many great dining and nightlife options within 10 minutes of the house. We would totally return for a longer stay. The only suggestion I have is that it would be nice to have a larger dining set on the deck in the backyard.
Really! The attention to every detail was a delightful discovery as were the rooms & furnishings.
This property was a short ride north from San Diego and quite easy to find. And such a find! The entire home presented itself as friendly and intimate... from the moment we pulled into the driveway all the way through stacked stone and redwood ceiling living room to the well maintained lush secret gardens full of fruit trees and tropical flowers.
We love to cook and entertain and the well designed kitchen was one of the nicest I have seen. I was lacking for nothing as I prepared dinner for 10. But some on the best parts were the simplest... the coffee station at the bottom of the stairs between the two bedrooms.... both bedrooms seemed to be the master suite, and both had walk-outs to the gardens through glass walls that slid, folded and disappeared creating a seamless transition from inside to out.
When we did decide to venture the few blocks to the local restaurants, the recommendations we found in home's guide book were spot on. The "Hole-in-the-walls" to the fancier venues were well researched... and not just the property owners next of kin. Longer day trips were made pleasant and easy by using the provided bicycles.
The Next time we come, ( and there will be a next time), it will be with another couple... for this special place is design to be enjoyed with special friends.
