**Nice Home with Thoughtful Touches, But Some Concerns**The house is overall very niceâclean, comfortable, and well-located in Boerne. There were some thoughtful details, like a welcome bottle of wine and a house guide with local recommendations and rules, which we appreciated.That said, there were a few issues worth noting:* One of the upstairs bedrooms was listed as having a queen bed, but itâs actually a full bed next to a pullout/daybedâso the listing was a bit misleading.* One upstairs bathroom didnât have a working lock, which was inconvenient.* We found a couple of dead bugs in one of the upstairs bedrooms.Communication with the host was prompt, but the overall tone felt more transactional than hospitable. Itâs a small but important part of the experienceâand one that reminded us why many travelers still gravitate toward hotels for a more guest-centered feel.Additionally, we were required to pay a 95 hotel occupancy fee via Zelle *outside* of the VRBO platform before receiving the entry code. While this may be standard for the area, it felt unusual and a bit uncomfortable to send funds off-platform.All in all, we enjoyed our stay, but these details held it back from being a 5-star experience.
