About Aaron Hester
We have been vacationing in Weeki Wachee for years. My wife grew up on Sebring Street and brought me down there to enjoy the Nature Coast. When I discovered that I truly loved it here more than other vacation locations (after several years of vacations), we decided to purchase our own home here. In turn, we would like to share what we love with you and your family! We see manatees EVERY time we visit. Manatees are gentle and majestic creatures. Just watching them swim is quite relaxing. We love our experiences every time we come to Weeki Wachee.
Aaron Hester purchased this House in 2015
Why Aaron Hester chose Weeki Wachee Gardens
Alot of the reasons are listed in the "about you" paragraph, but I will elaborate further..... The neighborhood our house is in is quiet and relaxing. We really enjoy eating dinner right on the water courtesy of the glass table on the lower deck/dock as the sun sets and goes down. We get almost daily visits at our dock from the manatees. You can fish right from the dock, and bring your boat!
What makes this House unique
We chose this property because of the decks and the dock. Easy access to the gulf for some really good fishing! Another amenity was the exterior third bedroom with a front door and a rear entrance to the decks via french doors. The spacious living room was another thing that caught my attention. Our entire family could sit comfortably. Also the dining room has a built in bar....seating for all.

Nice simple and homie
This is the second time we have stayed here. Some nice upgrades, but still very simple and homie (love it). Great price for a rental home.
Crystal and I are glad you enjoyed your stay in our Manatee Hideaway! You mentioned the upgrades, so I thought I would elaborate further... We replaced all floor and linoleum in the master bath, kitchen, hallway, 2nd bedroom, and dining room. We also replaced the floor and carpet in the master bedroom. We also replaced the carpet in the living room and the flooring in the hall bathroom last summer. Unfortunately, we had a small leak in the copper water line. There was too much solder in one of the joints, which caused the leak. That is how a guest discovered a soft spot in the floor. We thought the best bet would be to replace ALL floors, so that is what we did! The new "stone" flooring looks great and fits the house perfectly! We appreciate your comment about our pricing. We want everyone to able to enjoy what we love.. the extreme beauty and tranquility of Florida's Nature Coast! We will NOT be raising the price due to the recent renovations!!! So, with that being said, Thanks for your review and we hope to see you again next year!

We Had The Time Of Our Lives! Cute little spot on the water- Our Second Stay! Thanks Aaron & Crystal
This was our second time to stay here. We LOVE the decks and dock! We saw a momma and baby manatee twice! A pack of them swam up the canal as well! They are such friendly and docile animals. We were able to feed them some lettuce, which was fun. My nephew called them manatoos! So cute! We were warned yet again about the bugs biting, but they were extra hungry right before dark. We lit some citronella candles and tried Off, but the no see ums no smell um!! The owners suggested this spray called swamp gator at Walmart. Woohoo! It worked! Like, I said, right before dark is when we noticed the biting. Other than that, we were not really bothered by them. It was nice and relaxing while having a few meals down by the water. Some fish were jumping up out of the water as they swam. Our nephew was fascinated by this! I am told they are mullets. We did some kayaking and used the canoe, which was exciting on the river! You could see those same mullets and other kinds of cool fish swimming underneath the kayaks and canoe while we paddled. Beautiful scenery on the Weeki Wachee. Kinds of reminds you of a river in South America, but with crystal clear water and a white sand bottom. We saw more manatees, of course! They were swimming up river, so they just kept going, but coooool to watch them swim! We went to Homosassa Park and Howards Flea market. The park was GREAT and the flea market was packed with all different kinds of bargains. We bought all souvenirs and other things fairly cheap and there was decent food in the market as well. Speaking of food, the owners suggested two places, but we only tried one.. Freezers! It was reasonable and Gooood! They had all kinds of seafood and a decent menu. So, once again, we had a wonderful time here! The owners are nice people who answer any and all questions. We will be back again soon! Thanks Again Aaron and Crystal!
My wife, Crystal, and I really appreciate your wonderful review! It looks like you and your family really enjoyed your time @ The Manatee Hideaway! We bought the place because of the decks and dock as well as the 8 x 20 lanai and we added the gazebo on the upper deck. We like to share our little slice of heaven with others who we know will appreciate it as much as we do! See You Soon At The Manatee Hideaway!

Was great place and very peaceful!
It was just enough room for all eight of us. Had me, my husband, our 4 kids and my mom and dad.Kids really loved that there was a trundle/bunk bed, cable, toys, kayaks, and much more. I loved that there were pots and pans because I do all the cooking. It had everything we needed. I was excited to have a washer and dryer so I wouldn't have a mountain full of clothes when we got home lol. The dock and back porch was beautiful and enjoyed every mintue. We loved swimming out by the dock in the afternoon. Enjoyed how close it was to our spot for swimming on weeki wachee. My husband enjoyed relaxing in the recliners and watching tv. Everything about it was wonderful. Only concern I would point out would be a few soft spots in the floors need fixing. But other than that it was great. Would go back again. Thank you for letting us stay at your beautiful home.
Thank You For Your Wonderful Review! Crystal and I are overjoyed that you had a lovely time @ The Manatee Hideaway. You will be happy to know that we renovated the kitchen, dining room, hallway, and master bedroom/bath floors. New linoleum and new carpet in the master bedroom! We discovered a small water leak, that had caused damage over time. It is all fixed now! You will see the new stone design floor on your next visit to The Manatee Hideaway!

Very cozy and relaxing😎
Nice trip in a nice place
This is our second visit to this place /house with my family (include 2 dogs) to celebrate my birthday. The place is clean and cozy. The area outside is great , it has BBQ and sufficient kayaks for everybody.
We love it!
Pine Island is a really nice family friendly beach that is only five miles away. We are only an hour and a half from Disney World and an hour from Busch Gardens. We went to the aquarium in Tampa as well as the Lowry Zoo, also in Tampa. Both were GREAT! We also enjoy kayaking/boating/snorkeling in the Weeki Wachee river. Crystal clear water!!! If you like to fish, you can be in the Gulf reeling them in within 25-30 minutes! Homosassa State Park is a lot of fun as well! Check it out! Also, MY favorite restaurant in the area is Crackers in Crystal River, FL. They have live classic rock bands at the outside bar, great food, and you can dine by the water. Need I say more?
