The furniture was very uncomfortable in living room and bedrooms. The master bed was a queen, on a king frame, and had full sized contour sheets, so at leadt 8" of frame extended around bed , and was horribly to try and get in bed. The mattress had a huge ridge down center..very used past its prime!Port A Escapes made everthing very complicated, lost our photo IDs and we couldn't get in until we stopped along the way and redid them! And the furnace set off smoke alarm immediately after it was turned on. Filled the unit with smoke. Battery flashed "LOW battery" on thermostat from day one, and AC shut off every night so we woke up to 84* every morning. We've stayed at Sea Isle Village about 15 years, and love manager Tammie, but Port A Escapes was very hard to deal with, Will NOT again next year!

The bathrooms were spacious with plenty of storage. The kitchen had all the essentials. The master bedroom stayed a bit warmer than the rest of the unit. I'm not sure why but as soon as you walked onto the back patio the mosquitoes were attacking. So we didn't spend any time out there. The pool and playscape were amazing.

The borrowed sand toys and volleyball games was a pleasant surprise. Only thing I would change is checking in and out picking up keys and dropping off at a different location... key code entry would be more convenient. Aside from that which is minor the overall rental was perfect for my family. On-site manager Tammy was very sweet and helpful.

4th of July Stay

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The condo was great. The sofa sleeper I would recommend to buy a better mattress. You could feel all the springs. The only down side was the upstairs neighbor in unit 30 keep throwing their cigarettes down from back balcony which fell in one of our friends hair. Then after saying something to them they were slamming, dragging and banging all night. I had the police called . It’s people like that who make for a horrible stay. We come and stay about 10-12 times a year and never have had any issues with other renters.

It was sufficient...

The rental company said we had guaranteed check in by 4:00. When I went to the office at 3:50 they said it wasn't ready and made me sit there waiting until after 4:00. The beds are literally the worst beds I have ever slept in. The furniture is from the 1970's. The couch in the front room is horribly uncomfortable to sit on. No hot pads or cookie sheets in the unit. No movies, no wifi and even though it says 2 bathrooms...one is only a tub. The shower has zero water pressure and when we got there the cold water wouldn't turn on so we couldn't take showers. So when the maintenance guy did come he put a wrench on it. Super tacky!

Not having a mattress that could support a person on the sofa sleeper, left one of our guest without a bed. A mattress topper alone does not provide support over the bars of the sofa sleeper frame. A nice nights sleep is a crucial part of a relaxing beach vacation.The pool was nice and spacious. The location and short walk to the beach was about as good as you can get in Port A.

There was plenty of room for our family of 5, and having 2 bathrooms was great. We will stay again. It was a little dirty when we arrived (dirty sheet/sand in sofa bed, not enough towels/wash cloths, hair in tub and on floor in bathroom). Called management at Port A Escapes for more towels and never got a call back.

Old fashioned Condo with no wifi

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I'll start by saying this condo was clean. Upon arrival the a/c was not working. It was very hot and uncomfortable. The management took some time to come out but did come and address the issue. We had to go to dinner and linger just not to come back too soon and be hot. Two days later in the middle of the night the a/c went out again leaving us HOT! This time when I contacted the management they were a little less happy about coming out. This was our last day so we packed up and left early. This condo unit also offers no wifi. The furniture was not very comfortable and the place was dated. I would not stay here again or make any recommendations either.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The walkway to the beach was a sand trail. The sand was too hot to walk on even with sandals. Burned feet. Only 1 shower in a 2 bedroom condo. No electrical outlet for blow dryer in bathroom with shower very few pots/pans to cook with. No internet access. Paid way too much for what we got. Only 2 chairs on patio to accommodate 6 people. Bar-b-que grill was broken. The best part was the pool. Nice and some covered area.
