Spacious, renovated modern home in Bear Creek Lake near Historic Jim Thorpe

Relax and spread our in this beautiful home nestled on an acre of property in a private lake community in the Poconos. The house is walking distance from the lake and a private pool club (pool open May-Sept) and a short drive to historic downtown Jim Thorpe, Penn's Peak, Lake Harmony, Split Rock Resort, Pocono Raceway, Big Boulder, Jack Frost and the PA Turnpike. The house features three large bedrooms including a huge, private master suite and two large bedrooms with queen beds. There are also air mattresses available and a comfortable queen sofa bed in the living room.

This beautiful, spacious home offers modern luxury with charming historic details. Nestled on an acre of property, enjoy the serene yard on the covered porch. Enjoy the space and conveniences of a luxury hotel, top quality linens and bedding, all you need in the fully equipped kitchen, cable TV, Wifi and a smart TV. The house also has a bluetooth speaker so you can play music from your phone while cooking, eating dinner or hanging out in the yard. Pull your car right into the garage and unload in comfort. The location of the house is easy to find and the Bear Creek Lakes community is the best in the region.


You will have full access to the house, yard and one car garage including laundry facilities. Outdoor amenities including a large driveway, great for biking, plug in for an RV, lake and a pool club, tennis courts and playgrounds near the pool. You will also find 2 beaches which are overseen daily by great life guards, one of which is only 3 blocks away. You will also have access to 2 bicycle beach cruisers, an adult and child kayak, beach chairs and floats to help with your relaxation!

Thanksgiving Weekend

The beautiful home was cozy, comfortable and had anything you could ever need for a family visit including games, crafts, puzzles and toys for our grandkids! The outdoor fire pit and cozy indoor fireplace were perfect for our Thanksgiving week. The lake is a short walk from the house and there are countless walking trails and hikes nearby. The area's beautiful Christmas tree farms gave us the opportunity for a family adventure to cut live trees to take home. The hosts have provided a space where any guest would would love their stay and we are eager to return!

College girlfriends getaway

The house and property was perfect for the four of us. The house is very spacious and offered us plenty of room to socialize and enjoy each other’s company. As we were there only 3 nights, we did not utilize all that the house and property have to offer. The house was very clean and extremely comfortable. We enjoyed deer in the yard each morning and evening. We had a truly lovely stay.

Jim Thorpe Get Away

This is just what my wife and I needed for a weekend get away. The house was better than described. It was very clean and modern. Sitting on the wrap around porch watching deer was very relaxing. We really enjoyed the quiet setting and the closeness to Jim Thorpe and Hickory Run State park. Communication with Elizabeth was great. We will definitely stay here again. Five Stars all the way!

Great Get Away

Best Place to Stay

I stayed in this property in 2019 and would never stay anyplace else. Elizabeth and her husband are great hosts, they answered questions along the way adn helped with whatever we needed. The house is immaculate, absolutely beautifully decorated and you will never want to leave. Deer on the front lawn every morning, a beautiful lake at the end of the street and the beautiful town of Jim Thorpe a few miles away. We ended up staying another night since everything in the house was so comfortable. The bed in the master bedroom is the most comfortable bed i have every slept on. I am so particular and this house is just the best, rated a 10!!

Extremely Relaxing

You have a beautiful home, and it was a pleasure to be able to rent it for an extended weekend away. i was looking for a relaxing weekend away with my family and this is the perfect place. Very quiet community away from the noise. The home was well kept, very clean and stocked with everything you could need from the kitchen to the linens. I would definitely rent from Elizabeth again if / when the opportunity comes again. Thank you

Great house

This is a wonderful , fully stocked home . It feels like you are in a hotel . The house is in a quiet area and close to the community pool and the beach. Highly recommend to others and I’m already planning another trip to this destination.

Perfect Family Getaway

We had an amazing stay at this beautiful, and most comfortable home! The property is magnificent and perfectly maintained, the area is very quiet and the furniture and beds were very comfortable. The house was well stocked for everything a family would need including toys and games which made it so much easier to just pick up and go.

Awesome place to relax, very quiet neighborhood

Very friendly and respectful neighborhood. The house and property was very clean and accommodating. We would like to return for another stay sometime. Appreciated the accessibility for a wheelchair. An awesome lake in the community. We caught some fish in the lake.

Wonderful!

This property is magnificent. The owners thought of everything. Kitchen was fully stocked with all the basics. It felt like hotel living with basic bathroom essentials and luxury linens and towels provided. Very clean and communication was wonderful. Had a few minor issues but Elizabeth was in constant contact with me to ensure we enjoyed our stay. I would definitely rent this property again. Just perfect!

A perfect home to stay in when visiting the poconos

This home was clean, comfortable, well laid out with lots of character and charm. My only issue was the lack of communication from the owner who I called because the gas fireplace had no propane and the greeting manual left no real instructions and contained very dated info.

Wow, this property is a gorgeous, beautifully renovated, clean as a whistle home with everything you can imagine you would need and much more. Home is beautifully decorated, towels, sheets are luxury quality and the extremely large television was an added bonus. Elizabeth the homeowner was a pleasure to deal with. She quickly responded to all my questions and accommodated us by letting us check in a little earlier and letting us check out a little later. She was a joy from the minute I first talked to her. She loves her property and it shows!! All homeowners should be as accommodating as she was. The surrounding property is gorgeous!! It is landscaped so nicely and we had deer in the front and back yard each day we were there. We even stayed an extra day because everything there was just so beautiful. We went to Bushkill Falls, Mount Airy Casino, the town of Jim Thorpe. There are so many activities to do in the area. Everything was just beyond my expectations. I look forward to going back again!

Clean house, nice location

We had a wonderful trip at Jim Thorpe. The house was very clean and spacious for at least two families. Owner was very nice and responded promptly. Location is great, good combination of convenience and privacy. Lots of activities available for family, kids, hiking, biking, tennis, swimming and the lake. Highly recommended!

Jim Thorpe Get Away

This is a lovely property in a family friendly private community. The house was well equipped, super clean and includes a great yard for kids to play . We had a couple of rainy days and the covered porch was perfect for the kids and adults as well. The family was unanimous in wanting to return again next summer!

Perfect Spot

We've stayed at many properties over the years, in different parts of the country, and this is one of the best. The owner was fantastic to work with, the house was extremely clean, comfortable and with plenty of room. It has new and modern updates without losing it's warmth and character. The yard offered privacy without isolation, and the deer seem to love it, we saw them most everyday. Any season would be enjoyable at this location and given the opportunity we would definitely stay here again.
