Hawaiian Paradise Get Away

Beautiful property very well maintained including pool, sunrise and sunset views, fantastic snorkelling right off the back. Very close to great amenities and beaches. We will definitely return.

Well-stocked with all sorts of beach equipment. We inadvertantly picked the IronMan Competition Weekend for our visit so if you don't like crowds of people this is not the time to be in Kona. It also was very warm, and although the unit had fans, the lack of A/C impacted our ability to sleep as well as we would have liked. The unit was immaculate, the property managers helpful, and we would definitely return.

Perfect home base for family w/ small kids

This place was exactly what it's advertised as: a very central apartment, well maintained, priced at a great value, with professional property managers to make your stay smooth. We traveled with 2 small kids (ages 1 and 3.5) and the 1BR unit was plenty big enough for us. The pull-out sofa was super comfortable for the kids (and even for an adult, too). Kitchen, bedroom, bathroom -- all modern updates and very clean. We were very active on this holiday, spending very little time in the apartment itself. (We didn't even use the complex pool.) But if you're looking for a super central place -- yes, you can easily walk right into town -- to sleep at night, prepare food/meals, and have reliable property managers should any need arise, this is a terrific choice. View of ocean from patio was lovely, as was hearing it at night. :) Special callout, too, for all the scuba/beach gear which is provided free of charge, ie chairs, umbrellas, sand toys, etc etc. Would absolutely stay in this same unit again and highly recommend in particular the agency, Knutson, who manages it. Flawless and responsive communication throughout. Thank you!

Could be better

I have stayed at a number of places at Alii Villas and this was the worst of them. There were bugs everywhere and not only in the kitchen. When I sat on the couch and the chairs in the living room, I had ants crawling on me. Property manager- Knutson and Associates handles all the details. At one point I had a problem and called them. The guy I spoke to was unhelpful. The power went out (which was not the fault of the property manager). Knutson did not offer any help. They could not be bothered to keep in touch to let me know when the power might come back on. Nothing. They made it clear that I was on my own.

Great location to restaurants and magic sands beach. Large condo with comfy bed with all the beach and snorkeling gear we needed Some issues with the internet but it was sorted quickly. Would stay here again

The view from the Balcony was breathless in the morning and watching the sunset with a nice drink. They have everything you will need to go to the beach. The location is centralized. We had a car for 3 days and then road the bikes and walked for the remainder of the time because nothing is far from there. We would definitely stay here again and refer our friends and family. Additionally working with the management company was extremely easy and they are very kind.

Hawaii hideaway

Lovely unit. Great layout. Plenty of much needed airflow. Feels so Hawaiian. Lanai delightful from sunup to sundown. Crashing waves lull to sleep. Birdsong and endless sunny days.

Nice place!

I mixed my visit with work and play. The unit is on the 3rd floor next to some very quiet neighbors. Blake the Property Manager jumped on my call for help to set up the Wifi - no issues at all. Note - this is local living at it's best.... no aircon. Rely on the breeze and fans and all is good. Thanks!

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The picture does not accurately depict the condo. It is actually older looking than the picture shows and needing some TLC. The condo is spacious but very very hot - even with the fans on and all the windows and doors open. We could not sleep an entire night in the bedroom and ended up on the floor in the t.v area. Also, it was quite difficult to carry 2 suitcases up the narrow steps. I think this is a point which should be mentioned BEFORE final confirmation of a booking (there may be people with injuries, etc who could not negotiate these steps).We booked via (which we use regularly)and there was no mention of the $49 insurance requirement until the property management contact.We like to use as they outline all charges. We did contact them to express our disappointment of the $49 not shown as a fee.

Reviewer Comments: I will be concise and factual Positive: - Clean - Spacious - Good location - Fully equipped place: all that is required; kitchen fully equipped with everything; so is the place. Negative: - Impractical damage deposit policy. Practically you have to buy the insurance. Payying the $1000 refundable deposit is impractical, especially for a non US resident. The means of payment fees, conversion rates, etc, makes it impractical. - High speed Internet is a joke. Very, very slow. Basically almost unusable other than for basic web browsing. It's sad and disappointing that $10-$20 more is not spent to get a decent speed. This was a very big annoyance for us. - The Knutson & Associates property management company is too much in your face with little to show for. I got way to many emails from them telling me how is my stay, they want no less than 5 star reviews, but in the end did not managed to solve any of my issues. No air conditioning. There are fans, but it was very, very hot during the day.
