Aloha! Welcome to our little piece of PARADISE! Our new custom built cabinets and island for food preparation were just competed July 2024.
If you love the feeling of being at home while you are on vacation, this is the place to be! Nothing better than staying in a location that is close to town, walkable to lots of restaurants, cocktails, and snorkel/swimming beaches. We welcome you to our "HOME AWAY FROM HOME". Our unit is on the 1st floor.
This unit is a vacation rental only. IT IS A NON-SMOKING property, INSIDE AND OUT.
Guests have full access to everything in the condo (with the exception, of anything stored and marked "Owners" ). The pool is at the oceanfront, and the BBQ Is located just above the pool area. You must buy your own charcoal. There is also a gated entry to the ocean for snorkeling.
Our condo has a Ring doorbell/camera at the front door for your security to make sure no one enters other than the renter. However, in the 25 years that we have owned our unit, we have never had a break-in to our unit. Feel safe!

INTERACTION WITH GUESTS

I always make contact with the guests before renting. Also, once they arrive, just to make sure everything is to their liking and there are no questions.

We co-own this condo with lifetime friends. We come from honest backgrounds. Professionally, the men were high school and college educators. I was an Investigator/ Peace Officer for the State of California and the other owner worked in the jewelry business and accounting. We respect and wish to have others respect our " HOME AWAY FROM HOME"!
Our lovely condo is well maintained for our guests. Please see our reviews! We have a partial ocean view from our lanai. We are just a 15-minute walk to the downtown area, with several restaurants, snorkeling beaches, and wonderful sunsets on the way for your evening walk.
Our fast secure WIFI, BEACH TOWELS, UMBRELLA, COOLER, and BEACH CHAIRS are there for your use. FREE parking is right behind the condo with only steps to our unit.
We also provide BATH SOAP, a HAIR DRYER, HAND MIRROR, IRONING BOARD and extras in the kitchen such as PAPER TOWELS and DISH SOAP. We do not provide coffee. We have a Keurig 1 pod coffee maker as well as a Mr. Coffee maker, in case you prefer to use ground coffee. Many guests leave behind, foil, saran wrap and sandwich bags. You may use them and we hope that you will be courteous and leave some behind for others to use as well.
Please join us for a relaxing stay in Paradise!

Everything about our stay was Amazing - Judy was a responsive, kind host, we had all we needed (truly) - a beautiful, clean condo decorated in wonderful Hawaiian style! So convenient to downtown Kailua. Slept like babies, coffee on the private lanai, cards at the pool - was perfect!!

The space was perfect for the two of us! A prime location in Kona. You are able to walk to the coffee shop next door and watch the sunrise or sunset from the cute front porch. Judy was great to work with and communicated everything we needed to know via email!

Judy was a great host, very responsive before and during our stay. The unit's interior was nicely styled and spotless. The kitchen is all new! However, the condo complex is showing its age, and things such as the sliding door to the lanai is old and takes two hands and/or leverage to open and close. The unit is flanked by two parking lots, (bedroom side and lanai side). While not ideal, we had no issue with noise. The lanai is screened off from the parking lot with a big hedge, so quite private except for the few people who tried to shortcut through "our" lanai from the laundry room. That was quite disconcerting as we were enjoying our morning coffee on the lanai.The unit is well equipped with everything we needed, including nice beach chairs, beach towels, small ice chest. Very nice, thoughtful touches!Lastly, we didn't get to appreciate the "island style" living room furniture, as it was covered up with gray furniture protectors, and Judy asked that we not remove them.

Thank you for your nice review. I am a little concerned that anyone would attempt to come from the laundry room to our lanai. Our gate between that laundry and our lanai is locked at all times, there is no way that anyone can come into our lanai. The covers on the sofa are there for yours and all renters health. The covers are washed in-between evey renter, therefore healthier. We will be addressing the lanai door, as we had noticing it was hard to open. We welcome you back as we do all visitors. Mahalo

Cozy small space for two in a quite community on the ocean. The owner was wonderful and was available with questions during our stay. We enjoyed morning coffee on the patio everyday.

Judy was lovely and communicative and I enjoyed staying at the property. Be mindful that this is Hawaii, you will have some kind of bug encounter, and there were a lot of ants in the bathroom during my stay. The owners do periodically spray for bugs and provide bug spray, but it's just something to keep in mind. I had to shake a few off of my towels every night. Would also love if the back curtains could be switched to the front. It was discomforting that if someone wanted to, they could basically bend down and look through the jalousie windows.The property is close to lots of restaurants/activities and I would ultimately recommend it to anyone staying in Kona for a while.

Our windows have Hawaiian Woven Woods, which provide the breeze to flow at night from the Mountains to the Ocean. The blinds were left a bit shorter for that reason. The bottom louvers are frosted so no one can see in, if they are closed. We will be changing our the current Woven Woods in the near future and adding back out curtains. In reference to the ants, it is rare that we have them in the bathroom, but it happens. I appreciate your comments and thank you for staying with us. Judy

Very clean. Kitchen was great, stocked with dishes, pots and pans, spices. Laundry was great. Nice location, close to town and easily able to run up and down the coast. Nice pool with an ocean view. Loved our stay here.

The kitchen was very well equipped with everything we could possibly need, and the location was excellent. The space was clean and comfortable, and the host was extremely responsive and helpful throughout our stay. Overall, we had a great experience and would definitely recommend this Vrbo to others. The only minor downside was the air conditioner was quite loud. Because it’s a studio apartment, the noise was a bit disruptive at night. Despite this, we really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this property.

Thank you for staying with us and we have happy that you enjoyed your stay. The A/C does have different speeds, which may have been less noisy. We personally do not use the A/C at night because we enjoy the windows open to feel the sea/mountain breeze.

Nice condo, quiet complex, a lot of kitchen supplies, keurig coffee machine, clean, spacious, cosy, good working airco to keep it fresh, nice terras, bedroom can be separated from living room. Easy parking, easy laundry & drying (pay via app), small but cosy pool, ocean breeze while suntanning. No curtains/blinds to keep out the sun, but nothing a sleeping mask cant solve.

This condo is a very clean and comfortable place for a couple to stay! It is a convenient location to explore town or as a base to explore the wider island. Sitting by the pool, looking out over the ocean, and listening to the waves breaking on the shore is a must! The lanai is a great place to drink coffee before starting your day! The host is thoughtful and very communicative. We had no trouble prior to or during our stay.

A great location off Ali’i with a view of the ocean from the lanai that was perfect for breakfast and coffee. The kitchen has what you need with space to make meals. The beach chairs and umbrellas are handy and fit into a car trunk for easy transport to nearby beaches. Overall, an excellent spot for a couple of people. Judy is extremely responsive to inquiries and works to make the stay easier and more enjoyable.

Nice location and a clean property!

We had visited the other islands for a few years and loved them all. Once we visited the Big Island, we loved the diversity of the island. The Big Island is true 'OLD HAWAII'.
