Wonderful stay!
My husband and two cousins stayed at this B'nB and did not wish for anything! It was so great to not worry about running out of things like towels, trash bags, t-paper, spices, etc. Everything was taken care of and it made our stay. Loved the layout of the house, took advantage of the patio grilling out once and it was centrally located for us to visit vineyards and attractions. Small town feel, I would recommend!

Has everything you need!
We were in town over the weekend for a wedding. The home is nice and clean with everything you could possibly need. Plenty of fluffy towels and pillows, dishes, baking items, washer dryer, iron and ironing board - you couldn't have asked for more. We enjoyed the fireplace on chilly mornings and the patio was nice in the evenings. There is not much to do within walking distance but you can get to various wineries and small towns within minutes. Perfect location for exploring the area.

Great location
We were there for a wedding in Dayton so it was a great location for us, very short walking distance to our destination. McMinville is only a 10min drive as well where there is an awesome downtown area with plenty of shopping & restaurant choices. The house was nice, pretty well put together, a few minor details that would be worth altering for ease of use (i.e. rug placements, etc.) but that's just me being picky. If we ever found ourselves in Dayton again, we'd consider another stay.

a Holiday get-a-way
Since we were staying for the week of Christmas to be near our adult kids, the Home owner went above and beyond by having a Christmas tree up when we arrived. She even asked if I preferred white or colored lights. We were completely iced in from a storm and the house was warm, cozy, clean and cupboards well stocked. A great experience and a Christmas we won't forget

Great place to spend my birthday weekend
An absolute great home to spend my birthday weekend with my family. Close to wonderful wineries. The house had everything we needed and then more. Kitchen very well stocked. Beds were super comfy. A little tricky figuring out tv remotes, but I have similar problems at home! Would love to come back next year.

Local Wedding
We were in town for our daughter's wedding. We needed a house with at least three bedrooms and two baths, guests were kind of coming and going and plans were not really set until the end. The house was perfect---met all of our needs, good location, it was very quiet. Everything all of us needed was provided, the house was very comfortable and plenty large enough. We enjoyed sitting in the back in the evening, I lived in Oregon for 50 plus years and never had an October that was as dry and pleasant as out time this year. Very much recommend staying here.

Dayton is a quiet small town and this property fits it perfectly. This is the place if you want to relax away from the city (but close enough so you can get there quickly). Property was as advertised and clean, and we had a great visit.

Wine Getaway
We truly enjoyed this property. Dayton is a very small town with a few surprises. We had steaks on the grill one night after restaurant eating in Dundee, Newberg and Mcminnville and a lot if wine tasting. Very welcome break. Also, enjoyed a mariachi band quite by accident next to the town square. If you appreciate a village atmosphere, this is the place. The house is a great option for two couples although three would also work. Our second time staying here and we will certainly consider a future third.

About the host

Hosted by Wine Country Properties

Host profile image
She had the Wine Country Farmhouse…he had the Walter Link House, which is how Anita Borgaes and Larry Stevens met. Well... it was at the UFO Festival, but that’s another story. The result was another Vacation Rental, and now number four is along the way. Both are natives who grew up in the area; as a kid, Anita picked grapes during harvest on one of the first vineyards in Dundee, and Larry was raised on a farm in what is now the McMinnville AVA. Like Salmon, they returned after exploring the world to pursue their passion in their hometown: preserving historic properties and sharing Oregon Wine Country with the world. By joining forces - Anita’s background in real estate and Larry’s background in construction, they have created a solid team in the growing family of Wine Country Properties.

Why they chose this property

The "Main House" is located in a small rural town that feels like "Mayberry". There is little traffic, and the front of the house sits high off the street it faces. Trees and foliage are on each side of the house, so you'll never see nearby neighbors. At night when everything is quiet, you'll feel like you are in the country. During the summer, you will hear frogs at night, crickets chirping, and owls hooting. During the holidays you will feel the warmth and serenity of the crackling fireplace as you roast your favorite holiday meals. This is what we genuinely love about this house, and it is our most cherished vacation rental. We hope you will have the same experience as we have with our friends and family.

What makes this property unique

One block to the Historic Court House Square, where small restaurants are sprouting up for you to enjoy. Also, at the Square, during the summer months, every Friday night there is live music, local vendor food, and artisan crafts for you to explore and discover.
