Bayport Beach and Tennis Club is situated on 27 acres of beautiful private property. Clusters of white Mediterranean-style two story townhouses are surrounded by a tropical landscape of lush, exotic flora and fauna. Amenities include a junior Olympic-size swimming pool, a fitness gym, 4 tennis courts, bocce ball, a clubhouse with piano and numerous walking trails, which lead to Sarasota Bay and the Gulf of Mexico. A 1200-foot private beach with white sands has onsite chairs and umbrellas as part of the complex. The property also has a pond and a fishing pier on Sarasota Bay. The Club is close to a supermarket, a convenience, a hardware store, and 12 minutes from shopping on St. Armand’s circle.

Three's nothing more you can ask for, a true paradise location!!

We had a fantastic vacation during our stay at Bayport! The condo is situated across the street from the beach (which is stunning) . Arthur & Laurie's condo was extremely clean and well appointed. Accessing the beach & pool is extremely convenient and requires a very short walk through amazing gardens and vegetation that makes the property very unique. A typical morning started out with a swim in the Olympic size salt water pool, followed by breakfast and a walk on the beach. There's something about this property/location that just makes you feel at peace! Often at dusk I would walk to the the beach with my fly-rod where prospect of catching dinner was almost certain, catching Pompano and, Crevalle Jack's was easily accomplished. I would love to return to the property in the future, I met some truly amazing people on Longboat Key, I look forward to returning! If your lucky enough to visit Arthur and Laurie's condo, you will realize you made the best possible decision.

Beautiful condo & beautiful resort

My family had a wonderful time during our stay at Bayport! The condo was exactly as described. When you are staying somewhere for an entire month, you want that place to really feel like a home away from home. Arthur & Laurie's condo was just that. The covered parking spot was a huge bonus during the July heat! It was also easy access to the beach & pool. We have a small child so the short distance to both was important to us. The Bayport beach area is very private & the pool is huge! Our family also enjoyed daily walks to the resort's dock to watch dolphins & manatees swim by. My family has enjoyed Longboat Key as owners for over 50 years & we just recently became renters. We were very careful in our search for a rental. From beginning to end, Arthur & Laurie were wonderful to work with. My family is very thankful that they shared their beautiful Bayport condo with us & we were more than willing to write a positive review for them!

Beautiful Bayport Beach Retreat

My husband and I take one month each summer to refresh. We had one of the best vacations of our life here! Our condo was beautifully decorated, peaceful, and fully stocked with everything we needed. The beach is pristine and quiet. The pool and other amenities were exceptional. Thank you for a true retreat. We hope to make Bayport a yearly tradition!

Charming vacation home.

Lovely surroundings and amenities. Close to everything you want to do— beach, tennis, water sports, restaurants, shopping, and cultural activities. The owners/property manager were only a phone call away to assist with any questions. Definitely recommend this home for a vacation getaway!

A Hidden Gem on Longboat Key

We have greatly enjoyed spending the 2017 winter in Arthur and Laurie’s condo at Bayport. The condo is extremely comfortable, very quiet, and beautifully furnished with carefully chosen artwork. It also has updated appliances, and the dishwasher and huge stainless steel washer are very quiet. We also enjoyed the high-speed internet, the Amazon Fire Stick ((helpful if you subscribe to HBO Go, Showtime, Amazon Prime, Netflix, etc. on your home cable or satellite that allows you to access it away from home), and the use of the printer/scanner. There is plenty of storage space, with walk-in closets in the two bedrooms. We appreciated the trundle beds for visitors. The posted pictures are accurate. The owners are very thoughtful and considerate, and respond very quickly to any concerns. The unit is on the first floor which makes entry easy and much appreciated when loading/unloading vehicles. While all of Bayport is lushly landscaped—we feel like we are living in a botanical garden—the landscaping around this condo unit is especially lush and beautiful. The landscaping around the patio is so dense that the patio is almost private. Bayport is a somewhat secret gem on Longboat Key. Besides the beautiful landscaping, ponds, and white shell paths winding through the community, Bayport offers something for everyone. There is a junior Olympic-sized saltwater pool, consistently heated to 84-85 degrees; there are four immaculate clay tennis courts with free use of a ball machine; a pier extending into Sarasota Bay; a large, private beach on the Gulf side with chairs, lounges, and umbrellas provided. In addition, the Bayport community is active and interesting: a weekly BYOB party, movie night, book clubs, bridge clubs, social tennis once a month, periodic speakers at the clubhouse, water aerobics, bocce ball court, outdoor table tennis, a golf driving cage, and a nicely equipped workout room. Most importantly, Bayport owners are extremely friendly and welcoming to renters like us.

For many years our family vacationed on Longboat Key and we often came to visit. When we saw Bayport, we fell in love with the simple, yet elegant architecture and the lush tropical flora and fauna. Even after 24 years, every time we drive onto the property we are enchanted by its beauty. Bayport is unique on Longboat Key, as it has large expanses of meticulously maintained gardens.

What makes this property unique

We designed our home for our own use only and just began renting it recently. It reflects our appreciation of design and culture.
