We just replaced the floors and found several leaky ac ducts. All was repaired and the ac is working much more efficiently now. Glad you had a good time! Next time you’ll have to get in the water with the kayaks. :)

Glad you enjoyed most of your stay! The subfloors are being redone this week and new, wood floors and bedroom walls are being installed. You’ll have to come back and visit to experience the improvements for yourself!

Sorry you had a rough time. If you read other reviews, most are 5 star so I'm not sure why your stay was so difficult. I would appreciate more information on the rough shape of the bathroom. I was recently there as were close friends and family member and none of us saw this nor has it been reported to us. Also, in regard to the floors, all subflooring was replaced a year ago and the flooring itself is less than 6 months old. It is a "floating floor" as most newer flooring is. It is not a glue down or mortor based tile. Maybe you should try to enjoy your stay and be less critical. You would probably have a better experience. :)

The first thing I have to say is that I'm sorry you felt your experience was poor. A review like yours is not the norm as anyone can see from the 15 preceding reviews left over the last year. Most guests rave about the place, have a wonderful time and return. Just before your arrival, our cleaning person notified us about the door not opening very much because it was rubbing on the deck and she let us know that the kitchen floor had an area of floor that was warped. While you were there, you also called to tell me of these things but said they didn't affect your stay. These two items required some major work to be done which would have been an inconvenience to you if I had it done immediately during your stay. As soon as you checked out, we addressed these issues. The door now opens without any problem and the section of floor has been replaced. In addition, the gas grill has been disposed of, there is still a charcoal grill that is in great condition (which was there and available during your stay) and I have ordered a park style charcoal grill that will be installed in the near future. We replaced towels with new ones and even added a new kayak, although the "hole" you are referring to in the tandem kayak is a bolt hole that the kayak is manufactured with and is above the waterline so it has no effect on the use of the kayak and does not leak. The yard is maintained regularly by our landscape service.
