Great location the condo worked great for my husband and my teen boys A bit of noise in the lagoon side from the night life close by but the ocean view was wonderful everyone at the resort was friendly and it felt safe Mely was so wonderful and accommodating The local restaurants in walking distance were fantastic la bamba , capri and los amigos were our favorites and the food at the resort was great too The cheeseburgers were awesome! The condo is a bit dated but comfortable and well equipped

The rooms definitely should be updated. They were not super clean. The sheets and blankets were paper thin and you can tell they've been around for way too long. There were bugs in the coffee pot. It has a great location, however for the price, there are better options. Even the building that the condo is in needs upgrading.

Great location Beautiful Views

This place is very well equipped, clean, and in a great location. We loved being right on the beach with our own beach chairs and umbrellas and being walking distance to shopping, restaurants and the grocery store. We could watch the sun rise on the beach from one balcony and the sunset from the other balcony. This was perfect for us. I would stay here again without hesitation.

Great location, Plenty of space for a family, Perfect Chill spot

We were looking for a place that my family of 4 could stay with plenty of room. This was it! It was away from the crazy all inclusive places and we were able to do our own thing. Plenty of great little place to eat within walking distance. The pool at the hotel was great and relaxing and the food was good as well. (Definitely recommend Capri). Mely was great and met us at the property. We were able to have 2 baths, 2 bedrooms and 2 small kitchens at a fraction of the cost of a resort stay. Mely even had coffee for us which was a life saver. Hotel entrance was behind security so everything was very safe. Convenient stores within walking distance. Next time we go back to Cancun, definitely staying here again.

Comfortable condo in a good location, near most things we needed and easy proximity to buses. Super easy access to awesome beach, nice pool. Kids really enjoyed having a bed to themselves (including the futon - which actually unfolded to queen size, if done properly - a major upgrade from the sofabed at our earlier hotel in a different city.) Since condo is two suites together so one space has a small but full kitchen - with full-size fridge and the other with a mini fridge Easy water access was awesome.

What a great place!!! Mely got our room ready for us a little early, since we arrived early in the morning. She met us and showed us the room, which was great for the four of us. The pool, beach, and grounds were clean and safe. One of the best rentals I have ever had. Would highly recommend.

Perfect Location!!

Excellent location, walking distance to everything you need such as restaurants, bars, supermarket and entertainment. The view of the beach from the room is breathtaking! The pool staff and bartenders were the best ever, Humberto and Alex never let us go without a beverage. The condo is dated and hot water pressure in the showers is nonexistent, which I expected from other reviews. The road noise can keep up up if you are a light sleeper. We put my husband on that side and even he was woken up during the night and early morning. However, we would definitely book this condo again because of location and staff. It was a great trip!!

Ok place just for sleep

The condo wasnt as expected the linen was old and could be replaced. As well as towels and wash cloths provided. The location is prime to everything it was walking distance to coco bongo and restaurants. The water pressure on the hot water was so low and it luke warm. So we took cool showers the entire stay..i i formed the lady mely who was assigned to is if we had any problems and she stated she would have it checked. Never saw anyone. The rooms had beach chairs and a umbrella that was really helpful for the beach. The pool is nice and the hotel sits right on the beach it has great beach access... It was quiet and peaceful at night.

Comfortable condo, Great Location, fantastic view

My daughter and I stayed here for a week. We absolutely Loved the condo. It is very comfortable, in a great location and the view is fantastic!! The balcony’s were wonderful and we spent a lot of time out there having breakfast and enjoying the view. The condo is located within walking distance to many restaurants, the bank and the grocery store. It is also very close to the tourist gift shops/flea market as well as all of the clubs. The condo is also close to the ferry that took us over to Isla Mujeres. We Loved day tripping over to the Island for breakfast or lunch and exploring. Some days we just relaxed by the pool at the condo and walked the beach. One night I was able to take part in helping the new little baby sea turtles safely get into the gulf. We had an epic trip!! Thank you Mely for everything!

Nice property for price and location - condo is well equipped. Owner and manager -good to work with

Both Woody and Mely were very prompt during the booking and check in process. Both answered all questions and took care of anything we needed. The two bedroom condo is well equipped and in nice shape. Beds were comfortable and the air conditioning worked well - no complaints. Wireless internet worked well. The location is very close to the grocery store, dining and clubs. Bus service is just down the street. Buses are easy to use and very in expensive. The beach is very nice right out front the condos. Beach is not crowded. The Ocean Dream building is older which brings a few quirks - but all were manageable. Overall we enjoyed our time in Cancun and at Woody's condo in the Ocean Dream.

1st time in a VRBO vs all inclusive resort

We had a great experience for our 1st time in a VRBO in Mexico. The property manager Señora Mely Chavez was outstanding. Very quick to answer our questions and/or respond to a need we may have had. The amenities are great. 2 pools, with 2 bars and right on the beach. Easy to get a chair in the morning (around 10ish), so didn't have to “rush” at 6am to reserve, which was nice for a change. Short walk to restaurants, coffee shops and a great grocery store near by (7mins walk). The condo had everything we needed for our stay. Kitchen was well equipped, could probably use new frying pans, but we made it work for breakfast. Beach towels, beach chairs, cooler, bags to go get groceries, boogie boards, and rain umbrellas are available to use. 2 of our favourite restaurants were La Bamba & Los Amigos. Both are 1 min walk from the condo and offer authentic, great food at a reasonable prices. We would highly recommend if you dont feel like dinning in the over priced hustle/bustle area. Right across the street from these guys is another very casual but good restaurant, Tacos Los Chachalacos. All in all, we spent a great 9 days enjoying the location and surrounding.

LOCATION!

Location could not be better!!! Close to all shopping (groceries, souvenirs, clothes), great restaurants, bars and clubs! Great hostess communication and help! NO NEED TO BUY YOUR OWN WATER! That was a huge plus. Hotel includes a really good restaurant with good cocktails and 2 pools. Condo is fully stocked: cooking supplies, beach chairs, boogie boards. Very Good price. Suggestions for improvement: could have been cleaner, there were hairs in shower, toilet and in bathroom drawers upon arriving. The place needs a few repairs and paint. The air conditioner leaked quite a bit on to the TV then on to the futon creating the need to rearrange furniture and continually replace towel and empty bowl from leak. This has to be a known problem as the paint and dry wall is falling apart below the air conditioner. The place also has too much furniture making it feel a little cramped for 4 people. The futons realistically only sleep people that are under 5ft tall. Luckily my adult daughter is 5ft tall or els ske would've been much less comfortable. All in all i would stay here again for all the pro's there are but would bring my own chlorox wipes.

Well equipped condo for a great stay

This property was better than expected and our family enjoyed our stay for a week. The condo: This unit is on the second floor and high enough to enjoy the beach view. It's essentially two efficiency units, one with a beach balcony and one with a road/lagoon balcony. The kitchens were nicely equipped with all of the essentials, including coffee for our first morning since we arrived so late the previous night. The condo has nice chairs to enjoy the balcony and the four of us were very comfortable throughout our stay. The owner also provides 4 chairs, umbrella, noodles and boogie board, shopping bags, beach bag, and a wheeled cart for the grocery store. These were a nice convenience. Another big bonus to this unit is the water filter provided, so we had plenty of drinking water. There was also a washer/dryer with detergent in the condo. I would have packed lighter if I had known this ahead of time. Beach towels, shampoo, body wash, dish soap, paper towels, etc were all provided and we greatly appreciated those extras. The condo: Ocean Dream is located less than 5 minutes from the main Hotel Zone and club/bar area. This had mostly pros because we could get to the grocery store by walking (bring the cart and bags provided) and there was a lot of shopping and plenty of restaurants. We ate out daily and never had to walk far. Once we were at the condo, we didn't need taxis at all. We booked tours ahead of time which provided transportation, so we didn't need a rental car or taxis at all. The only con is that the nightclub music was a bit loud at night and you could hear it from the lagoon side room. Bring ear plugs but it was still a little loud for me at night (til like 3am). You can't hear the music from the beach side room at all. Another bonus to staying at Ocean Dream is that the pools are very nice overlooking the beach, and there is a restaurant and bar on site. We used them a couple of times and they were very nice. Plenty of chairs and umbrellas at the pool and the pools get shaded in early afternoon which kept us cool. Our things were also safe and there are gates to the property entrance. The guards always checked our wristbands. Overall we had a wonderful stay for the week and were very safe and comfortable. The beach is beautiful (despite the sargassum in June). You can walk for miles in one direction. We would stay here again.

The owners and Mely have put together a great property that is very well stocked with everything you would need. Everything is very well kept and maintained. I have stayed at four different properties in Cancun, this property is by far the cleanest. If I return to Cancun, this is the first place I would check availability of.

Perfectas vacaciones!

Mi familia de 7 nos hospedamos aquí por 7 días y todo estuvo fabuloso. El apartamento está equipado con todo lo q necesitas para unas buenas vacaciones. Las vistas son espectaculares tanto de la Laguna como del océano. La Sra. Mely la administradora esta pendiente de cada detalle y si necesitas algo es cuestión de minutos para q te brinde una solución. Covid perfecto vienen hasta tu habitación y mencionar al Sr. Gustavo el hace tour privados y te lleva y te trae del aeropuerto por un costo extra. Pero es muy recomendado otra linda persona y muy amable. Están cercas de night club y tiendas para comprar lo más primordial. No ocupas rentar un auto puedes caminar o usar el transporte público o taxis. El restaurante q queda en el hotel es 100% recomendado, la comida muy deliciosa 😋. En si la estadía fue fantástica te ahorras mucho dinero si cocinas de vez en cuando. Gracias Cancun por unas bonitas vacaciones en familia, de seguro q regresaremos nuevamente. Gracias Mely y Woody.
