Well I have to say I have no problem giving this a five-star home. It's in a beautiful, quiet neighborhood. The view is unbeatable My husband and I prefer going to the beach in the winter time and then in the spring. We will most definitely rebook this home. It's spotless. It's a little dated but it doesn't matter. It's comfortable. The sheets and the pillows and the linens are delightfully soft, clean. So easy to book. So easy to get comfortable and never leave. South Beach is a charming, small little community. It's a quick drive to Newport. We love being close to Nye Beach. A couple of our favorite restaurants are there. Huge screen TV. Comfortable furniture, kitchen full of everything you could possibly need. Lovely lovely lovely house. And may I add that there's a huge driveway you're actually allowed to park in the garage, which is nice in the winter time. I can't say enough good things about it.

Stayed here with my husband and 80 yr old parents to attend a wedding and it was perfect for that. Everything on one level with a deck that has amazing view. My dad liked sitting out just watching ocean. About 1 mile round trip to beach access but we were content on deck. Great view from two bedrooms as well. Master bathroom/bedrooms need hooks for towels and not enough towels provided especially since it was hard to hang used towels up but that is my only complaint. Would definetly stay again.

My husband is in a wheelchair so not ADA friendly but worth the stay , the name precedes itself as we had a show of whales all day long, beautiful sunsets at night with a great view, next door is the owner & had a great visit with him, very hospital so if you needed anything he was right there!

Gorgeous house

This is a wonderful and comfortable house. Named Whale of a View and it does not disappoint. We were so comfortable that we didnt even leave the house except for short walks in the neighborhood.

Perfect for a family of 4 plus dog

Just like at home, everyone has their own space, and we're all still togeather. Within an hours drive are months worth of activities. We can't wait to go back for another week or more.

Loved our stay right on the ocean in South Beach, Oregon. Plenty if room for the 4 of us plus room to have extended family over for dinner. Beautiful view.

Great Location and Beautiful Scenery

We really enjoyed this property. The views of the beach and the pacific ocean were beautiful. The location is great for exploring the Oregon coast, as several key attractions are within 2 hour drive. Highly recommend!

Dreamy Ocean View

Thank you for an amazing stay. Comfortable house with basic supplies. Local restaurants and markets close by with great options. Once the sun greeted us, the deck was our favorite spot. The living room was also a comfy viewing area in the rain. Loved all the cozy blankets. Nice walkable neighborhood too. We will be back.

New Years Eve Without A Bang!

We came here to get away from the New Year's noises. And this house did not disappoint. Quite, comfy, and an amazing view. Sitting on the porch, listening to music, watching the waves.... Life is good. We will be returning!!!

Whale of a View Indeed!!

Well laid out generous living spaces take advantage of the sensational oceanfront/view. Two of the three bedrooms have magnificent views along with the living room. We were a little surprised by the lack of being able to make or receive cell phone calls, esp when we all have an exceptional mobile company. We seemed to be able to text to our adult children in different states. So, the next day we had to go out and but our own batteries for all 3 of the remotes. The furniture is well placed and pretty comfortable. Nice small yard, with no access to ocean from yard. It was concerning that we could not reach the hosts or managers as I tried to call, and text with no response. Luckily it was not an emergency; the batteries were dead in all the remotes, and the replacements were leaking and too old. We also needed small things like hand soap. There are some useful ingredients in kitchen, like extra virgin olive oil, spices and Modena vinegar. The tea kettle handle came unglued and fell off when I tried to use it. But overall kitchen is well equipped. Excellent lighting with end tables and lamps and overhead lighting some dimmable so the ambiance is homey and cozy. The fireplace really added to our enjoyment and the nite we used it was chilly. Access to all the streaming apps easy as WiFi is great. Would love to rent again as rentals go it's in top 3%.
