Why Scott and Beth Gerlich chose Danbury
We really liked the location of the property and the size of the lot.
Beautiful and peaceful!!!
Great little cabin!! Has everything you need and more.
Just exactly what we were looking for.
My grandson, being an Eagle Scout, was really looking forward to being in the woods during his short break between college terms. Unfortunately, it rained most of the time, but the place was perfect.
We loved this cabin. Clean, nicely decorated and has everything one needs. We loved listening to the loons at night. If you like to fish or ride ATV's, this is the place for you.
Fantastic Cabin -Very Private
We had a great time at the cabin, great location(maybe a few miles from Danbury) and an easy ride to the ATV trails-several ways to get to the trails. As for the trails we can't say enough-Burnett county should be Very proud of their trail system. You can ride your ATV into town for gas. The fish bowl bar has great food and is a short ride or drive. We Bought our groceries in town at Wayne's food-Great Store-Has everything including adult beverages. We rode the Atv's for several hours the 1st day and then Drove the truck over to Jack's canoe rental in Trego (tube's and kayaks as well) about a 40 minute drive, great crystal clean, lazy and shallow river and Jack's was great(we rented two up kayaks) As for the cabin itself, it's so nicely done(great décor) , Just perfect for two couples or a small family. They have a very nice weber kettle grill if you like but I would bring my portable gas Weber next time. I would also suggest some fatwood kindling and newspaper to aid in the campfire and some bug spray and Raid yard fogger. The boat landing is also very close if you want to fish or kayak closer to the cabin. It Really was a FANTASTIC outing! Thanks to our hosts for thinking of everything!! We are already trying to get another trip planned!
The perfect northwoods getaway
This cabin was perfect for our family of three. We loved our time there and look forward to going back. In my search for a vacation rental, this was by far the best.
Quiet, immaculate, well-designed and decorated, this 700 sq ft lodge has two bedrooms with one queen bed in each, bathroom with shower, beautiful kitchen area to seat four people, wood laminate and tile flooring, front sitting area with a vaulted ceiling, bearskin rug on the wall, wood stove, futon, TV w/ built-in DVD player, a comfortable chair and ottoman, and a breakfast nook that also seats four.
The property is next to a small lake and has several acres of mature oak and pine trees. (Before we came, a neighbor saw a bear and two cubs. Yes, this is the Northwoods, but not too remote--just a few miles from Danbury.) There is a large, level front yard, with a yard light and a circle drive. The cabin has an attached laundry room, patio table with umbrella and four chairs, a fire ring/wheel with wood provided (four patio chairs and two kids' chairs), as well as a fish cleaning shed.
The owners thought of every detail: creative fishing and bear décor, solid wood doors, three ceiling fans with dimmer switches, nightlight in the bathroom, weather radio, and simple instructions with an agreement for all guests to sign.
The owners provided a limited amount of supplies: dishwasher detergent, dish soap, hand soap, travel size shampoo, toilet paper, trash bags, kitchen towels, and paper towels (Make sure to bring your own necessities, especially bath towels, napkins, paper plates, plastic utensils and cups). Pillows, sheets, and blankets are provided, as well as a clothes iron and hangers.
We can't wait to go back!
Thank you for such a possitive response and we were so happy to hear you enjoyed your stay! We do hope you come and stay with again in the future.
