The Chalet, an 1,860 square foot timber frame Barn, was originally built in 2005 to be used by owner Jake Thompsons as his wood shop, storage for the Carriage and harnesses and stalls for the two Percheron draft horses, Kobuk & Tecumseh “the boys” used in the Carriage business, with a hayloft above. In 2010 the boys were retired, and in the years following the renovations began, sanding all the beautiful Douglas Fir timbers and transforming a once rustic room to nicely appointed craftsman style luxury apartments. The Carriage House Chalet Efficiency is referred to as Kobuk's Stall, as it once was.
