When coming to Girdwood do it the “Alaskan Way” by staying in a log cabin. Alyeska Hideaway Log Cabins are located on a quiet private road where the property borders the Chugach Forest with access to Beaver Pond Trail. Placer Cabin has two bedrooms and sleeps six people.
Placer Cabin is fully furnished and the full kitchen is stocked with plenty of pots and pans, dishes, glassware and utensils for all your cooking needs. BBQ grill is available during the summer and extra freezer space is available upon request. Other amenities include a wireless internet, basic cable and a video library.
Alyeska Hideaway Log Cabins are two miles from the slopes and are on the Girdwood shuttle route to simplify your transportation needs to the mountain or out to see a show.

Our family of 4 (with 2 children under 10) loved our stay at Placer Cabin! The location is perfect—close to great food and shops, yet tucked away in a quiet neighborhood. The cabin was well-appointed with everything we needed, and the hosts were incredibly helpful and responsive. Highly recommend!

The cabin was very clean, and had plenty of seats to sit down and relax despite its small size. They made great use of the space and we never felt cramped. My toddler loved the loft bedroom and looking down to the living area from the top of the stairs.

Great cabin

We needed a weekend away, so we stayed at the cabin. It was nestled away from the highway so it was quiet. I especially appreciated that the rental was pet free. The cabin was clean and cozy, just what we needed so we could relax.

Lynne's cabin was a great stop on our way through the Kenai Peninsula. The cabin is easy to find, clean and cozy. Lynne was very helpful and even left us welcome cakes! I'd happily stay again, and we actually wished we had an extra night at the cabin on our trip.
