El Torreón är en stor bekväm nio säng hacienda i traditionell Santa Fe stil; höga tak, vigor (träbjälkar), massiva väggar som gör den varm på vintern, sval på sommaren, kiva-eldstäder och en sluten innergård med fontän och fruktträd. Det är fem minuter till några av de mest populära områdesrestaurangerna: El Nido, Tesuque Market, Bishops Lodge och några minuter till Plaza eller Santa Fe Opera.

El Torreon, som betyder "Tornet", är omgivet av träd och vatten - Tesuque Creek i väst, och Acequia Madre de Tesuque, en 300 år gammal bevattning dike, i öster. Området är känt för sina lövträd och sval dalplats. El Torreon har många flodplatser och portaler (täckta områden för att slappna av och njuta av omgivningen), ett stort takterrass ovanför med utsikt över bäcken och sluttning och en utomhus spis. Dess läge är tyst och privat. Hjort vandrar ibland från mesa hill till öst som också har en bra vandrings / vandringsled utöver Windsor Trail tillgänglig till fots från Bishop's Lodge Road. Acequia går under våren och sommarmånaderna beroende på vattenförsörjningen. Tesuque creek varierar från en trickle under sommarmånaderna till en energisk torrent efter en regnskur i bergen.

Det finns en annan tvättplats utanför köket på huvudnivån av huset.

Den spektakulära hemmet har 5 sovrum och 3. 5 bad. Två sovrummet har vackra king size-sängar och kiva eldstäder, en privat uteplats och med utsikt över bergen. Det finns två rymliga sovrum med queen size-sängar, ett med en kiva spis och franska dörrar till innergården. Det sista sovrummet innehåller två uppsättningar våningssängar, varav en innehåller en botten queen size-säng som bekvämt rymmer vuxna. Tehre är en bäddsoffa på övervåningen i studien utanför den stora utomhusdäcket.

Perfection!

The house was perfection! It was large enough for 8 girls to not be on top of each other, yet had wonderful gathering spaces when we all wanted to commune. The walls are so sound proof that one person could sleep in their room while the others stayed up later talking and they couldn’t be heard. The beds were comfy, and the kitchen stocked…it was a dream! Thank you.

The house is lovely and spacious, the kitchen well-equipped and, as it turns out, mostly comfortable with NO air conditioning in July. BUT, not one of us had a decent WIFI connection and could barely get any service even when up on the roof deck. In fact, we were given the incorrect front door code upon arrival and had to drive out to the highway to even contact anyone about it. Then drive back out to the house to enter the new code. For that reason, I just cannot give it five stars. Otherwise, a lovely spot for a large group. We were four generations from infant to 99 years old and the setup for everyone was great!

Wonderful Getaway

4 separate families came together for a saddened time (funeral) but the fact that we could all be together with plenty of room was amazing. The home was amazing. The kitchen was big enough for all of us to sit. The outside, upstairs sitting area was so relaxing and beautiful. Listening to the nearby creek was very calming.

Great family home for a large gathering

We recently spent a week with our adult children, their spouses and our grandchildren at El Torreon (10 individuals total). This home is gorgeous with plenty of room for socializing, game playing, reading and enjoying the outdoors. Because of COVID-19, we were sociallly distanced and cooked all of our meals in the beautifully appointed and well-equipped kitchen. We had all of our meals outdoors on the patio. There is lots of wildlife to enjoy and hiking trails within a mile's walk. A stream flows right by the home, a sound that is soothing at bedtime. The managers were very responsive to some repair issues, coming out to inspect things within a few hours of a call. Our only suggestion: upgrade the internet to more effectively cover the entire home. (There were a few of the rooms, including both master bedrooms, where there was no coverage). We would love to return at a time when we can more fully enjoy all that Santa Fe has to offer.

Great place

We had a family reunion with 12 people. We thoroughly enjoyed the outside spaces and especially the large living room. The master bedrooms were great. We weren't quite prepared for the rugged road leading into the house but overall it was a terrific experience. Thanks Two Casitas!

Great Stay in Santa Fe

This house made a great base for a long weekend exploring Santa Fe! We were a group of ten friends coming from all over the country. The house had several great outside spaces and the kitchen and large room were fantastic places for gathering. As stated in some other reviews and the pictures, there are three nicer bedrooms (two very nice ones!) and two bedrooms that are connected to one another, which aren't quite as nice. But we knew that going in-pictures are accurate, and all beds were still comfortable! Everything was spotless, and we just loved so clearly feeling like we were in the southwest even when we were at the house! We were less than 10 minutes from downtown but still felt so quiet and peaceful. Thanks for a great stay!

The house, layout and decor were just perfect for our family mini-vacation. The Nanny's "wing" of the house, could use some attention with regard to decor and general amenities. We had 3 adults staying in that space and it was a bit embarrassing to have them there when the rest of the house was so lovely. They were also challenged with regard to clothing storage - no closet or hooks to hang clothing?

Our large family loved our stay.

Our large family loved our stay. The property was clean and well appointed. There was room for everyone from toddler twins to grandparents. We would highly recommend this beautiful property. We celebrated a birthday and a belated Christmas while we were in Santa Fe and we talked about how much fun it would be to come back during the summer season! Thank you for helping us make family memories!

The property and your service exceeded my expectations. My 3 adult children and their partners all said it was the best family vacation we’ve ever had. We hope to return soon. Thank you! Excellent service from Two Casitas! They answered all my questions timely and the property exceeded my expectations. I accidentally locked myself out of the house during a snowstorm on Thanksgiving Day. I called Two Casitas and they immediately told me how to locate an extra key and even offered to send an agent to open the house for me again.
