A unique and cozy log cabin retreat tucked away in Cleveland. Built in 1927 and restored in 1999, even city dwellers will enjoy sleeping here. Down pillows, quality sheets and fresh flowers set us us apart from other rustic getaways.

Bedroom overlooks the living area with stone fireplace. Vintage cooktop in kitchen along with modern updates of a full size refrigerator, oven and microwave.

Enjoy nature sounds of a "southern symphony" while enjoying an evening glass of wine or morning coffee on the stone patio overlooking nature.

Take a walk across the street to beautiful Fletcher Park. Explore this 80 acre paradise donated to the city by Pete and Agnes Fletcher. Dog Trot Cabin was the original home of the Fletchers. All of this is only an 8 minute drive from downtown Cleveland.

Charming historic retreat!

Dog Trot cabin is a cozy, secluded retreat conveniently located to restaurants, recreation, and entertainment. Anne and her husband have lovingly restored this 1927 treasure, and the attention to detail in can be seen inside and out. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there!

In town getaway

This property is great it is in a great neighborhood but is hidden from the road and neighbors. The cabin was laid out well and the host had everything looking great when we arrived. We definitely look forward to staying here again.

Magical Place!

I cannot rave enough about Dog Trot Cabin! Anne was a great hostess, and her cabin is truly special. You feel like you are away from it all, but it's very conveniently located. I just wish we could have stayed longer.

PERFECT CABIN

This was by far the best VRBO property I have ever stayed at. While many have left me a little dissappointed, this one was everything it promised and more. The most relaxing place I have ever stayed.

A great little getaway that is perfect for a small family and a couple of Yorkies. It's quiet and secluded, but your not far from anything that you will need. Be sure and look for the deer in the front yard early in the morning.

Secluded and Serene

Lovely property located in a small Tennessee town. Beautiful surroundings. Property was homey with thoughtful touches. Cabin is renovated from an original property built in 1927. We had a wonderful time here.

Perfect Lee University hideaway

came for graduation at Lee University, and the DTC far exceeded my expectations... was 5 minutes from the campus, yet felt like we were tucked away in a secluded mountain retreat! the cabin/amenities/ large sheltered back porch with a swing that stayed in use ~ all added to a Most delightful trip. FAR and Above staying at a hotel!

Peaceful Place

The cabin is wonderful, beautifully decorated and equipped with everything a guest could need. But our favorite part was the outside space. The back patio is amazing! We ate breakfast out there twice and enjoyed time just swinging, looking at the gigantic trees and hearing all the sounds of nature.

Beautiful, Secluded Property

Even though not really secluded, this property seemed secluded because of the trees and because the neighbors were up above you on both sides. It is a beautifully decorated, quaint cabin with a lot of rich history. Great place for two people to stay. Anne is a great host and was willing to answer any questions. We enjoyed our getaway very much!!!

Perfectly quiet!

I was looking for a quiet place to stay while I was in town working. This cabin was perfect for that. Very easy to get places as it’s not far out at all but it is nicely tucked back from the road for privacy. Loved it!

Charming Cottage

Dogtrot Cabin was a charming cottage with lovely details such as fresh flowers and snacks on arrival and a well stocked kitchen complete with coffee ready to brew! Delightful Place

This is the sweetest place to go if you want some time away from the world. Quite, secluded, peaceful. I LOVED the sweetness and detail of this cabin. Very well loved. The outside is as enjoyable as the inside. I will definitely be back!

As an interior designer I saw the potential for saving and restoring this little cabin. It was almost 2 years of hard work. I rent it out to help pay for the cost of my restoration and to let others enjoy this little place as much as I do. Its is my favorite place to be.
My design studio and home are just a few miles away from Dog Trot which makes it easy to manage. I really enjoy meeting all the nice people that have stayed at my cabin. Many guest have returned back for multiple stays. Some guest have left behind a nice note telling me how much they enjoyed staying at Dog Trot Cabin...which makes all of my hard work worth while.

My little cabin is located across the street from Fletcher Park, an 80 acre nature park and within the city limits of Cleveland makes Dog Trot a unique get away close to my home.
