This home is in the historic Lower Garden District, renowned for important architecture and one of the oldest neighborhoods beyond the French Quarter. Recently restored to it's turn of the century beauty, you'll enjoy a home that is full of character and original details but offers all the modern amenities that create a comfortable stay. This is a prime central location within the city for visitors and business travelers alike. A few blocks walking distance to the Warehouse District as well as shops and cafes on Magazine Street. The Garden District and French Quarter are easy to reach on foot or by car/bike.

Construction Notice: the vacant grocery store across the street will be demolished mid June to make room for a new condo building. Our rates reflect a discount associated with this disruption. Working hours are 7-5pm. This notice is meant to provide as much info as possible especially to those who might be sensitive to increased noise or traffic in the area. Thank you.

Family Friendly: Pack-and-Play, Stroller and High Chair provided in the house. Queen size air mattress and extra linens also stored in the house and available for your use.

Attention Conventioneers! This home is so close to the Convention Center. You will love being a quick walk to a relaxing and comfortable home! By Google Maps calculation it is 0.6 mi walking distance to the main entrance (closer if you use one of the other entrances).

The house has two bedrooms, each with a queen bed. A twin size daybed is located in the master bedroom. A twin size rollaway cot as well as a queen size air mattress can also be set up to accommodate children or other guest(s) in either the master bedroom or living room.

The home is appointed with soft and luxurious linens and towels, a fully furnished kitchen, cable, wifi, and all the details to make your stay enjoyable.

We provide an independent check-in process with a coded lockbox. No need to arrange a set time to meet us but we live on the block and are available if needed!

Plentiful free street parking is available as well as a gated driveway.

About Ro

I'm Ro and I'm hosting this house for my friend Mike and live right here on the block. Travels to over 40 countries, for work and leisure, have given me an appreciation for the role a unique & thoughtful guest home plays in the travel experience. Why Ro chose Lower Garden District

This home has a wonderfully elegant and yet cozy feel. It's two stories give both perfect spaces for entertaining as well as private and restful bedrooms. My friend Mike, who comes from a family of New Orleans craftsmen, completed the restoration and many of the original 19th century details were preserved adding so much character. High end appliances, luxurious bathrooms, and fine linens and furnishings make this house a one of a kind home away from home.

The home features a lovely back patio and courtyard as well as off street parking. On-street parking is also uniquely easy compared with other parts of the city.

A beautiful house in the best neighborhood, close to everything and very quiet. We will be staying at this property every time we are able to when we are in town.

We had a great time in New Orleans...

We enjoyed our home away from home stay. The home was very clean and well organized. Ro had a great list of eateries & local events near that we visit. The only problem I had was the back door did not have a blind. As we settled down every evening we felt uneasy that someone could be watching us as we watched the tv, since that is the only television in the home.

Great location and beautiful place. The kitchen was great with plenty of pots and pans. It was helpful to have everything that we needed. Gated parking was a huge perk. Would recommend staying here when visiting New Orleans.

Girlfriends Trip

This is a beautiful home. This home is more than what I expected from the description and pictures which is pretty amazing due to I’m pretty particular and pay close attention to detail! It was six women and we slept 3 in Master bedroom and 3 in the second bedroom. The master bedroom and bathroom is huge. Bedroom 2 is a little smaller but we were able to get the roll away cot in there comfortably. The beds were very comfortable and the bed linens and towels were top notch. The kitchen and fridge is well stocked with everything from dishes , seasonings, coffee, pots & pans , beer & wine etc.. Ro is amazing she is such an attentive host. The home is walking distance to the convention center. I enjoyed the court yard every morning with a cup of coffee and there is plenty of seating in the backyard to entertain. We rented a car to visit the rural area of New Orleans but if you are just staying in the city there is no need to rent a car. I will definitely return to this beautiful home.

Beautiful Home for exploring an amazing city!

My family of four stayed in this lovely home for a week. We wanted to stay in a home with an authentic New Orleans flavor. This beautiful old home fit the bill perfectly. It had very high ceilings throughout and has been lovingly restored with a modern kitchen as well as throughout the rest of the house. The back deck was a cozy place to visit. The beds were very comfortable and Ro was a terrific host. We will definitely book this home again when traveling to New Orleans.

Pristine Elegance In Lower Garden District

This two-story home with high ceilings and lovely architectural details is as elegant as it looks in pictures, and we four (two couples) found it a pleasure to come home to each night. Every corner was clean, beds were very comfortable, and all the amenities (extra towels, ironing board, etc.) we needed were on site and easy to find. Ro, who managed the booking, gave us a wonderfully useful neighborhood guide, and we walked or used Uber and streetcars for easy access to points beyond. The neighborhood felt safe, and while the view across the street is uninspiring, the house itself - and its charming private backyard terrace - are so appealing that it made little difference. Guest bedroom is a little small, but lovely, and the master bedroom and bath are both extremely spacious. The inside stairs could be a challenge for someone with physical limitations, but after eating all that wonderful NOLA food we were delighted for the extra bit of exercise! We highly recommend this house and would definitely stay there again.
