About this property
Historical Estate, Rhinebeck w/ Farm Animals, Hot Tub, Pool, Lake, Gardens
Unique 1840s 6-bedroom farmhouse with rocking-chair porch, original wide floorboards, oak beams, comfortable bedrooms, and a 1100' modern, octagonal, airy, chef's kitchen. Please let us know if you'd like to be connected with our local private chef to book an exquisite dining-in experience. The house sits atop a knoll overlooking 20 acres of rolling pasture, barns, and a swimming/fishing pond. An additional cottage for up to four can be rented if needed. The barn residents are currently chickens, goats, ducks, geese, and two friendly, snow-white Maremma sheepdogs who look after them. They all enjoy visitors. You can learn how to collects eggs, and have fresh organic eggs for breakfast.
The house has an automatic backup generator, so that even power outages will not stop the fun.
A perfect getaway for family and friends, the house features a fully equipped, 1,100 sq ft. octagonal gourmet kitchen, complete with a professional 8-burner stove, double oven, and an extra steam oven. An espresso machine, Italian tiled floor (radiant heating), and dining table for twelve. If outdoor cooking is more your style, a large stainless barbeque gas grill sits waiting for you out back, along with a giant trampoline, and granite ping pong table. The fitness room (located in a separate building) can be a quiet space for yoga or a workout room with two Peloton bikes, weights, and a sauna.
In the house, if you ever leave the kitchen, you will find a living room with cozy couches, perfect for conversation or watching one of the hundreds of channels offered by a second Spectrum TV. Separate library for quiet time, with built in bookshelves, pretty desk, easy chair and queen size sleeper sofa and a propane fireplace. There is a pool table and plenty of games and puzzles for all ages, and a good digital piano.
All six bedrooms come with fresh linens and comforters. There is even a bedroom on the ground floor, with a bathroom, for those less excited about stairs.
The house is part of a unique farm, with an old Broadway summer stock theater no longer used professionally. Professional musicians can rent the space, or ask to practice the 9' Boesendorfer on the stage there. Mostly, though, this is a peaceful place for bird and wildlife watchers. Acres of manicured lawns lead you to private groupings of Adirondack chairs perfect for a morning coffee or watching the sunset. There are plenty of places to stroll – perhaps a walk around the pond to see how the kids are making out on their fishing expedition… a cocktail in the vegetable garden… a game of bocce on the back lawn… poolside picnic… or a relaxing evening in the private 4-person hot tub.
In the warmer months (JUNE, JULY, AUGUST) enjoy the fifty-foot fenced-in-ground swimming pool. The pool house is fully equipped with a bathroom, a refrigerator, and plenty of seating and toys for long days of relaxation.
The ¾-acre pond is a great place to fish, swim, or paddle across in the 3-4-person rowboat. We provide fishing rods and tackle. Sitting beside the pond is a stone fire pit that is just waiting to roast all the marshmallows you crave. In the winter, if the season is cold enough, bring your ice skates and travel on the pond.

We loved the house. Location was great, secluded enough to relax, close enough to Rhinebeck town center to have access to anything needed. The house has a lot of things you just don't expect from an rental such as an espresso machine and stand mixer. The house has a good mix of amenities and comfy lives-in quality that made it great for our stay. We will come back to this house.
The house is very spacious and well-appointed. Located on a beautiful lot, short distance to Rhinebeck town center and many picturesque hiking trails. Great communication with the host and fantastic stay overall. Highly recommend!
Home is clean, spacious, inviting and chock full of things to do. Also perfectly situated between Rhinebeck town and Hyde Park area. Would highly recommend.
The home was wonderful, we cooked every day in that wonderful kitchen in the photo. The heated pool was at a perfect temperature to really enjoy it every day. Everyone swam each day-such a beautiful spot at the top of a big hill with great views. Thank you Becky, who responded to each of our concerns immediately. Elaine
We were a group of friends attending a 40th anniversary at Vassar College, and this venue was an absolutely perfect place for any large friend or family group. The pool was magnificent, and the house was both incredibly spacious and yet charming.
What a wonderful private location. It was perfect for the eight of us. We enjoyed the farm atmosphere with fresh eggs available for breakfast. The house was clean and provided a large kitchen space to gather. Would highly recommend.
We had a girls weekend at this lovely farm house.
the bedrooms were great, Jacuzzi great, central kitchen room is spacious - we lived in that room.
Fresh eggs every morning were icing on the cake.
While we had quite a few rainy days the place was great. Beds were so comfy and clean. Irene the owner who is on site was so friendly and accommodating. Molly from property management was great with communication. Some of the details need to be updated but overall the stay was awesome and everyone had a great time. Pool was huge and so nice for the kids!!! Def recommend.
We had a wonderful vacation at this beautiful home. There were so many amenities, the kitchen was amazing and there were so many baking pans, cooking pots and serving plates that our family chefs were well supplied. There were toys and games for all ages, and many books and options to escape to with your book! Bedrooms were as described and beds were very comfortable. The pool was the perfect place to be on those hot afternoons! We all enjoyed floating around watching the clouds and bald eagles pass by. Some of us made daily visits to the friendly farm animals and enjoyed many fresh eggs. We loved this property and plan to return! Thanks for a lovely week.
This property was perfect for our girls weekend in Rhinebeck! The house was spacious, clean, and the kitchen was awesome for making a large group meal. The property was absolutely beautiful- very serene and relaxing. Rhinebeck is less than 10 min away which was a great outing. The property manager and owner were so responsive and great to work with. We had so much fun and would recommend for a large group!
House and grounds are lovely. Drapery stained and minor repairs needed with doorknobs and latches but overall a lovely farmhouse with lovely owners/caretakers.
13 ladies stayed here for a bachelorette party. It was a great location, close enough to the train station and the adorable downtown. We did a day at the spa which was lovely. We spent a lot of time at the house playing games, using the gym, walking around the farm and even had a chef come one night. What a surprise to wake up after the snow storm and see that someone had shoveled us out and cleaned off our cars. Hope to come back for another visit!
I first need to apologize for the very belated review, I thought i did this and just realized i did not! We booked this house with our children and parents for my son's graduation weekend, and I am so glad we did! This is a wonderful and spacious set up for an extended family get away. The kitchen is to die for, the outdoor space massive. Everything was spotless and in good working order. The checkin and checkout process was smooth. I would hightly recommend staying here!
This home was the perfect setting for a fun and laidback wedding with friends. The property exceeded our expectations-- the pond and wildflowers were gorgeous, and there are lots of amenities outdoors as well (two fire pits, trampoline, ping pong table, etc). As for cleanliness: my skin is really sensitive to detergents/cleaners and certain materials, but they use high-quality ones and really nice bed linens which I've found is not common at rental houses. Very comfortable beds. Lots of bedrooms and bathrooms, and a large kitchen for gathering. Easily accessible to Rhinebeck downtown. The property manager is on-site in a separate house and some workers for the barn, but we didn't interact and everything felt very safe. I don't have enough good things to say about Irene's place. If you're on the fence, book it!
Had a wonderful time at this lovely farmhouse. Plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms to accommodate a large group.
Our 3 1/2- and 5-year granddaughters enjoyed the farm animals and the trampoline, they couldn't get enough of either. Tim (farm hand) was so nice that he brought the girls into the pen to feed the chickens.
The house had everything you could imagine keeping a large group entertained as well as many different porches for outside gathering. Bar none, one of the most well equipped and an extremely roomy kitchens we have seen, for a large group of people.
A memorable easter egg hunt that spread through several rooms and ended in the music/library room.
The huge Armoire in the kitchen is breath taking. You can't find furniture like that anymore.
All around, just a wonderful place for a large get together.
We had an absolutely incredible stay at this beautiful home in Rhinebeck! The house itself is large, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed, with plenty of space for everyone to relax and unwind. There was so much to do—we never ran out of activities. The kids especially loved the trampoline, outdoor ping-pong table, pool table, books, and games. Each morning began with peaceful fishing at the well-stocked pond (a huge hit!) and we appreciated the thoughtful touch of having fishing rods available. Interacting with the property’s friendly dogs, goats, and chickens was a daily highlight for the kids—and collecting fresh eggs each morning made it all the more magical. The grounds are expansive, beautifully maintained, and offer a perfect blend of fun and tranquility. The standout feature for all of us was the large heated pool and pool house, where we spent afternoons swimming and relaxing. Evenings were made perfect by soaking in the hot tub under the stars. The kitchen was spacious and incredibly well-stocked—ideal for cooking meals together and enjoying them at the big family dining table. This was a special family gathering and we made unforgettable memories here.We can’t recommend this property highly enough. It’s a special place and we hope to return!

Gorgeous property
This is a beautiful property with a lot of amenities. It has a hot tub, an unground pool to use if the season is right, a pond where my son caught many fish, an outdoor grill and several outdoor seating areas. There was more than enough room for everyone. My husband and I took the largest bedroom with a loft area where our kids slept. The beds and linens were extremely comfortable. I would only warn people of the steep staircases that were fine for us but might be an issue for some. Also, the upstairs bathroom has a shower that would be somewhat difficult to get into if one was elderly but they could always use the bathroom downstairs. What sold us on this property in particular was the large kitchen with a table big enough to sit all of us for dinner. It was perfect for eating, playing games, doing puzzles, etc. We spent most of our time, when we weren't out walking or window shopping in town, in this room. The owner, who lives next door, is delightful. We had a problem with the wifi when we first arrived but she sent someone over the solve the issue right away. I would highly recommend this house for larger parties. I wish we could have stayed longer than just two nights.
We have just had a wonderful week catching up with family. The house is well equipped for all ages. This was our first time travelling with our twin boys (under 2) and I was pleasantly surprised to find an array of toys and equipment that made our stay very easy. They certainly had a lot of fun.
Thank you to Kelly too for the thoughtful suggestions on how to entertain the boys!
Enjoyed our stay, Both Kelly and Rebecca were extremely responsive to any priblems that came up. Their help was “above and beyond” any prior experiences we have had. Beautiful property. Very relaxing environment. Loved the pool.

What makes this property unique
There is a former Broadway summer stock theater in a barn nearby, with a well-maintained, 9 foot Boesendorfer piano from the Musikverein in Vienna on the stage, and beautiful acoustics. This can be rented as a studio space by professional musicians, but not for performances. We no longer use the space professionally.
