About Debbie Shaw
I have been a real estate agent in El Dorado County for 27 years. My number 1 on my bucket list was to own a cabin on the river. I live in the area and have raised my children here. My family spent many years camping along the river. I want to share my experience as a cabin homeowner. The river is a place I can meditate and be at peace. Why Debbie Shaw chose Kyburz
River Front property has always been my dream. I wanted to be able to throw a stone from the cabin to the water. My cabin has the view of the river from almost every window. The sound of the river drowns out all my worries and cares. I love the deep swimming hole during the summer months and the challenge of rock climbing across the river. My childhood vacations were memories of camping along rivers, creeks and lakes. There was always a fishing pole in my hand not to mention the flames and smell of a camp fire.
What makes this Cabin unique
Deep swimming hole, fishing, hiking on the Pony Express Trail, close to Sierra Tahoe Ski Resort, Mountain climbing on Sugar Loaf, peaceful, a remarkable experience.

Peaceful and relaxing
This was a lovely spot for a quick getaway. It doesn’t look like much when you first pull up, but the accommodations are quite decent. Large living room with a great fireplace. The back deck overlooking the river is a lovely spot for an evening glass (or bottle) of wine.
Enjoyed our stay
Very neat and amazing location. Enjoyed our stay
Perfect location. Cabin has a varied sense of decor. Riverside deck views steal the show.
Relaxing and convenient riverside cabin is the perfect choice for a short, romantic or midsize family vacation getaway.
Great little cabin with all the amenities!
Great location and great cabin. All you need is food, the rest is all taken care of. National Forrest right there, river in the yard and lakes nearby there is plenty for the outdoorsman to do. I highly recommend.
Beautiful view, Dirty, A dog that visits property, we ended up going to a hotel!
The cabin location was perfect, right by the water. A truly beautiful setting. Unfortunately the fact that the cabin was dirty ruined our experience. There were many things that were unsatisfactory to us. The dry dog food in one of the beds. There was dust covering everything. Not a small layer but thick with dust on the dressers, nightstands, ceiling fans, where the TV set, everywhere was dusty. I had dropped my phone and it went under the couch where there was so much dust and debris that I don't think they ever do more than a light cleaning, if that. The couches were very uncomfortable as was the bed. The bed was hard as a rock with cheap pillows and bedding that didn't smell clean but dusty and dirty. The dishes all had to be cleaned before use due to the film on them. My family had such trouble with our allergies, from the dust and pet dander, that we ended up going to a hotel that was much cleaner. Also a dog does visit and stay at this property. The owner seems to be uneducated in that just because a dog breed is listed as hypoallergenic, a misnomer, does not make it so people with allergies will not react. Yorkies are still dogs and still affect people with allergies! Also we paid for insurance and the owner still charged us for the deposit. We are still waiting for our money that she should not have taken to begin with and kept saying she would return and has not. Would not recommend this place.
Wonderful venue! Enjoyed the river a lot.
This was a delightful home for our family to enjoy the river. We sat by the river with our coffee in the morning and ended the day with the sounds of the river.
What a delight!
It was a pleasure having you.
