The Lighthouse is a truly stunning apartment just moments away from the sea front, and holds an independent 4**** rating from Visit England. The open plan layout provides lots of natural light and sea views. This stylish apartment has panelled walls providing a pristine haven with all the comfort and space needed for relaxing and unwinding, or having a fun packed sea side holiday. The Lighthouse is part of Suffolk House, and can be booked together with The Cannons, The Pier and / or The Blyth. Please note that there is also a sofa bed available, along with a travel cot and high chair. A truly ideal holiday apartment.

Beautiful light apartment in excellent location

A very relaxing 3 days in this very comfortable apartment. Located close to the town for eating out. Walks to Southwold harbour and Walberswick superb.

Honestly, this could not have been more perfect for us. A stone's throw from the beach, easy (and safe) walk into the town centre (even quicker to the sweet shop), and it was a cosy, quiet retreat in the evenings. The kids loved the bunks, and the en suite to the main bedroom meant we had our own bathroom and the kids theirs. Really nice size for a top floor flat and the main area was ideal for our stay. Just perfect.

Wonderful apartment, perfect location.

My husband, three year old daughter and I had a lovely stay at the lighthouse. Perfect location, 5 minute walking distance to town and a stones throw from the beach. The apartment is really modern, a quiet and relaxing space for a long weekend. My daughter loved the bunk beds! Could have been a little cleaner - quite dusty and lots of cobwebs. Sheets and towels were very fresh and clean but there were a few stains on most of them so could be time to replace. Overall we had a wonderful time and would definitely stay here again

Beautiful break

A gem of a stay in The Lighthouse. Thoughtfully designed and decorated, with quality linens and clean functional kitchen equipment. Other guests booked in the nearby accommodation yet was quiet, safe and relaxing. Gorgeous entrance and privacy in the self contained top floor apartment. Has a shabby chic costal vibe with a location on point for shops and green areas for doggy. Lucy was friendly and clear with communication and booking info such as re key safe. Parking on road outside and sea a stones throw away. Eager to return for longer, or if Lucy would like a live in housekeeper I dont mind volunteering!

Beautiful apartment but let down by

The apartment is beautiful decorated and in a great location. It was let down by a raft of house keeping issues - examples- shower heads blocked - oven dirty and greasy. When l highlighted the issues. The reply was sorry. No action taken to remedy.

Recent stay at The Lightouse,Southwold.

Tariff was over £200 per night with a four star tourist board rating. The cleanliness plus lack of maintenance meant we needed to clean the place also lack of maintenance meant we were without hot water and heating or dishwasher. Main bedroom was without curtains or blind, which made the room very light and without any privacy. Too many other issues to list. Loved Southwold but will need to find somewhere with a higher standards and a more helpful host!!

The Lighthouse

We weren't told it was on the top floor. The shower didn't work. The CH was poor. The owner didnt reply to our query for 24hrs.Luckily there was a bath and it wasn't too cold ? Had everything been working it would get a good review. Sadly we won't be going back there again.

Perfect hideaway in Southwold

The flat was a perfect hideaway for my partner and I . Just a couple of small things would have made this place outstanding. A small welcome pack (milk, sugar, tea, coffee etc) and attention to a few details (salt in the dishwasher, spare toilet rolls and a clean frying pan) would have been very welcome for our fabulous weekend away. We would definitely recommend and return xxx

Ideal space

Lovely looking property from outside and didn’t disappoint on the inside. Just the right amount of space needed for a few nights. Clean, comfy beds. Nice Sea view and love the fact you have the lighthouse in the bathroom at night. My only criticism, there wasn’t a pan big enough to cook bolognaise for 4 (had to split it into two pans).

Short break

Generally everything went very smoothly. The property was in good order, we enjoyed our stay. Only negatives were a slight hiccup with getting in. We should have received a code for the key safe, but had to make a couple of phone calls on arrival. The only other snag was I couldn’t get to grips with the boiler controls so didn’t have heating. Of course it could have been me. However these things didn’t detract from our overall good experience. Would book again.

Location location

My daughter snd I had a lovely stay in this well located and safe apartment. The weather was kind and we were out exploring, walking, enjoying the fine food on offer, and a dip in the sea. Three nights were perfect, we didn’t use the car but parked outside the apartment with no trouble. The flat was perfect for our needs, and I would recommend it.

Beautiful apartment

Very well maintained and equipped apartment with great views and lovely decor. Only negatives are the flights of stairs (it’s on the top floor) and the beds were uncomfortable. A welcome basket of a few essentials to start you off would have been nice too. Owner was easy to communicate with before our stay and the booking process was very straightforward

Family getaway

The location was perfect, central to all amenities. The apartment itself could do with the owners going in and taking a thorough once over. The coffee table and dining table/chairs were wobbly, stains on living room furniture, cracked floor tiles in en-suite also rusty toilet brush with rust on floor. Shower control in en-suite was very loose. Bed in main bedroom very noisy, you only had to move your leg and it would wake your partner up. Taps in main bathroom didn’t work at all, did contact property owner on first day just to make them aware so they could possibly get a plumber for the next guests but got no reply. We have now been back from holiday for 3 days and still no response. We must say there were many good points too including extras like iron and board, dishwasher and free wi-fi that were very appreciated. For what we paid it just wasn’t the ‘luxury’ we were expecting.

Great apartment near the seafront and close to town centre

We had a great stay in the property with a 5 minute walk to the centre of Southwold and and 1 minute from the seafront. Would definitely recommend!

This property is amazing,number 4 The Lighthouse you can see the sea from the lounge window.

Great location,very spacious and light and airy.The decor is very calming.Well equipped. Just one thing let it down and that was no welcome pack.When you have travelled over 4 hours it would have been nice to find a few teabags,coffee and sugar and a carton of milk to chill out from the journey.Ive stayed in several places in Southwolds and they all have these.Apart for that small thing it was top class

Marvellous mini-break!

An absolutely fabulous apartment - the decor is spot on, so tasteful. Lovely views of the sea from the living room and the lighthouse from the bathroom and en suite. It was a perfect base for me and my little dog - and visiting friends on a couple of nights too!
