Lovely 2 BDR 1 BA, with patio and 100' dock. Convenient to everything! Great for fishing and boating! Enjoy all the Bay has to offer, from crabbing and sailing to dining out on all the various seafood you can eat. We strive to provide excellence! The kitchen is fully stocked with cooking utensils, dishes, coffee pot, and microwave. All linens are included.

The apartment also has cable tv and high speed internet.

We have a beautiful view of Willoughby Bay, a 100 ft dock in the back yard for fishing, crabbing, and simply enjoying the sun. The Ocean is a short walk from our building.

Willoughby Beach is an easy five minute walk and is so much more peaceful than Virginia Beach. Downtown Hampton and Downtown Norfolk are both convenient to get to. Williamsburg and Virginia Beach are both within 40 minutes. There is a very nice neighborhood seafood grill at the end of the street, next to Rebel Marine Services, called The Sunset Grill. Oceanview Pier is two miles away. If you like to walk you can get there by walking on the beach or on Oceanview Avenue. A shopping center with a grocery store, family dollar, ABC store, and several restaurants is just down the street from the Oceanview Pier.

Enjoyed the view of the bay.

Great place to stay only downfall is the traffic from nearby highway. It makes it hard to sleep. Enjoyed the view from the deck and the nearby beaches.

Reasonably priced comfortable and well stocked condo

  • 4 of 5

Our family of four staying three nights over the weekend was good. The back of the condo building faces the Bayville street so you'd have to lug your stuff around to the entrance of the building facing the waterfront. This unit is on the second floor with one other unit, large front deck with outdoor funiture, but most of the time we didn't see anyone. Unobstructed view of the bay and the private pier from our living room and the front patio was the best part. Condo was well stocked with coffee maker w/ coffee & filters, a microwave and a small convection oven, paper towels, toilet tissues, trash bags, pots, pans and other kitchen stuff. It has a full bath and a tiny 1/2 bath, which was a must for four of us. Second BR didn't have the AC but leaving the ceiling fan on with cool air from the other BR and LR worked for our girls. We loved having our dog around during our stay. I-64 traffic is pretty noisy but window AC noise drowned them out. Only annoyance was the LR AC being so loud that we couldn't hear the TV sound at night. A new quieter LR AC unit would make the stay definitely more enjoyable. Carpet in the BRs was also not so desirable bc our dog kept sniffing around. We were just glad we brought our slippers. Beach chairs and towels for the guests' use is very nice. The Willoughby beach and the Buckroe beach were great without the crowd. I must say we all had great time!

Served our purpose and good location

  • 4 of 5

This 2 bedroom apartment is just what we needed during our brief couple of days in the tidewater area. Having it pet friendly was an added bonus. It was a little rocky start with the unit not quite ready by our 4 pm check in as the cleaning crew was still there when we arrived. The cleaning crew left tissue in the toilet and I went to flush and the toilet bowl overflowed. Yikes! Good news was they had a plunger, bad news was there was not mop. Note to owner....I suggest adding one. Overall the place was fairly clean and the location was great. Easy access in and out with ample parking. The noise level due to being so close to Rt. 64 did not bother us but others may not be so tolerable. The humming from the AC drowned out most of the sound and provided enough white noise. Window unit air conditioners in back bedroom and front living area only. The second bedroom was warmer but comfortable enough to sleep after running the AC for a while. The large lot next to the unit was a great place to play frisbee with my pup. The building itself seems rather old but the owner seems to have updated as best they can to make it bright and cheery on the inside. Luxurious? No. Comfortable and relaxing. Yes. It rained the whole time we were here and wished we could have enjoyed the nice outdoor furniture and beach chairs that were provided. Perhaps next time.

Great host and location

  • 5 of 5

Arrived late evening, easy to find, great view. Comfortable beds, and linens provided. Very quiet, and other units had small family groups. Porch has plenty of room to relax, and evening breezes were nice. Lots of grassy area to walk/play with dog.

Solid surface floors and some furnishings appear recently updated. We did not cook meals, but kitchen is well-equipped for meal prep.

AC's did an excellent job of keeping unit cool when outside temp was 90 degrees.

Generous supply of paper goods for our stay. Brian is a responsive, and attentive host. Would rent from him again.

Potentially a good place if properly cleaned and taken care of

  • 2 of 5

We (two couples) arrived shortly before dark after a long 9-hour drive and began unpacking and settling in. While putting things in the refrigerator, we noted that both crisper drawers had about a quart of water in them. I emptied and cleaned them. We then stopped and walked to a nearby restaurant for dinner before unpacking our clothes and preparing for bed. Since it was quite warm, we turned on the ACs in the LR and front BR, but the back BR where my husband and I were had none! We thought that maybe we'd make it okay with the fan. But the fan did not work! But we were so tired we just headed to bed. My husband threw back the comforter to discover several stands of hair on the bed which he quickly removed with a Kleenex. We debated about washing the sheets that night, but decided we were too tired for that and we'd wait until the morning. We found out from the couple in the other bedroom the next morning that exactly the same thing happened to them when they started to bed!! We are convinced that the sheets had not been washed! Too strange for both beds to have hairs on them. It was a pretty miserable first night for my husband & me because in addition to the dirty bed and the heat, the loud sounds from the nearby highway continued all night. I emailed owner the next morning, and he responded immediately regarding the air conditioner. He said he thought one had been put in. Someone did come out that afternoon and installed a unit in the window. So with cool, noise from t he AC to help block out the highway sounds, and some clean sheets, the rest of the stay was enjoyable for us. Grateful to owner for that! For our friends in the front BR, it became interesting, however. Whoever put in the AC apparently also checked out the other two ACs. The bed in the front BR looked as if someone had stood on the corner of it and pushed it down below the frame. We were able to push it back up and assumed it was okay without checking it out carefully. During the night a huge thud. The bed had fallen down onto floor. Twice more in the night. The next morning the couple took everything off the bed, rearranged the slats (several missing ones) and finally got it fixed so that it would stay up though they did not sleep well for worrying. This place has considerable potential if taken care of but calling it a "quiet getaway on the bay" is misleading with constant highway noise & noise from all the helicopter training maneuvers on the bay (actually enjoyed that!).

Perfect for a summer getaway

  • 4 of 5

This place is perfect for a nice summer getaway. Plenty of chairs for lounging outdoors, fire pit when the temperature cools and a nice dock for relaxing with your fishing pole. Good if you are bringing dogs as well. We played fetch with our German Shepard in the field next to the apartment. If you can drown out the interstate noise then this place is awesome. I never got used to it and spent every night with ear plugs in because the window AC units were installed and I could not close the windows. I am a pretty light sleeper though so it may not be a problem for everyone. Other than that, this place was great and Brian was pretty quick to respond whenever I had a concern.
